I've stayed here several times, and honestly... I hate this place. The staff is fine but the rooms are just terrible. It's as if someone who's never stayed in a hotel room was asked to design a hotel room. There's nowhere to put your luggage, and somehow there's also no drawers to unpack your luggage - just a teeny closet to hang a few things. Hopefully you're traveling alone and don't mind snuggling up next to it. In my room, the handle on the shower door was installed backwards, so the towel rack was IN the shower - the only other place to hang a towel... across the bathroom above the toilet. Don't slip when you get out of the shower! And get this - ALL OF THE POWER TO THE ROOM is on a motion sensor. And the sensor can't see inside the bathroom. After two days of all the lights shutting off on my while in the shower, I called down to see if they could change it. They said it was set to 30 minutes and they couldn't change it, but I timed it and it was set to 15 minutes... hope you don't take long showers! Have a big meeting the next day and think you can set your computer to download the big presentation overnight? Hope you either toss and turn a lot, or you have a really good battery... because that motion sensor will kill all of the outlets in the room too - even the one charging your laptop and your phone. All that said, the location is incredible - very close to a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops, and studios. Will I stay here again? Probably, unless a Marriott opens next door. But maybe I'll bring a kinetic art sculpture to prevent the motion sensor from going off, and pickup some drawers from Ikea.

Stayed for 4 nights, it’s in a great location, and the food at the restaurant while limited is good. The negatives just outweigh the positives and while the price per night isn’t super high I still don’t think it’s worth the stay. The king size room we stayed in shared the outdoor atrium / patio with other rooms which was fine but the room itself was tiny. No place to put a suitcase and since we had two we spent most of the trip stepping over suitcases. Our room was super humid and musty and we would leave the doors open and turn the heat on to dry it out but after a shower - whole room would be damp. The walls are soooooo thin and our room backed the restaurant. We could hear plates being stacked, chairs moving, vacuuming at 10pm, the room next to us showering, and doors slamming since the restaurant bathrooms are in the hall with the 1st floor rooms. Thee lights turn off so quickly since they are all motion sensors and you can’t really to much to combat that if you just want to chill with a single light on you are SOL. We ordered room service once, we weren’t given silverware or napkins, that was a fun time. Overall the details seem to be lacking and I’d rather spend a little more to feel more comfortable.

I’d give it 3.5. The location and decor throughout the place was wonderful, and the proximity to downtown Culver was perfect. There’s a lot to do right out the door. But there were some details that impacted our stay. The sheets and bath robes has some small dark brown stains and the top sheet of the bed seemed to have some grainy particles I had to wipe off. And finally, the hotel decided to charge us for snacks we didn’t eat that I disputed, so make sure you document the snack box when you arrive to avoid the headache

Cute place. No parking. $48 for the overnight valet or $60 for the street ticket? I'd rather give my money directly to culver city. Typical $250 hotel, to me that means a millions ways to nickle and dime you in room. The location is cute, the rooms are nice and if you are traveling for pleasure, hit it up.

Stayed here for 5 nights and was left unimpressed by the experience. There are some positives, but they are few and far between for a 4 star hotel- great location right next to the Culver Steps, decent value compared to the Culver Hotel, charming restaurant and tasty food, comfy beds. On the flipside, you get paper thin walls (anyone having fun late at night or showering at 5am you are going to know about it!), unbelievable lack of attention to detail and super casual staff(only one bathrobe provided with no belt, not all towels being replaced after cleaning) freely chatting or on their phones in the middle of the hallway, sometimes barring the way with a hoover. Rarely saw the same faces twice suggesting little to no full -time staff explaining most of the issues above.

Stayed here a number of times. Rooms are small with no place to lay out luggage. Bed felt like it was unlevel. Staff was always polite and helpful. Price is a bit high but that is true for all of Culver City.

Came here for work, would love to stay again for fun. Great little hotel. Cute, clean. Their restaurant, Simonette had great French inspired food and the drinks were great.

Personally I’d skip this hotel. Room was full of cobwebs, water was super expensive, they had forgotten to refill my soap before I stayed, and even though the website says they have gym partnerships that was pre-Covid. Only upside is convenience to culver steps, and the staff was super nice and helpful.

Very comfortable room. Friendly staff and a great location. The rain head shower is a nice touch.

*IF PREGNANT*/SICK/SENSITIVE TO SMELLS* do not recommend The custom smell is so over-powering and over bearing. It is sprayed so frequently and in such a prominent location in the lobby it was unavoidable. I felt like I was breathing in chemical fragrance rather than enjoying a nice smelling hotel. The soaps provided in the bathroom were similarly potent, to a nauseatingly degree. Wish this was disclosed more prominently before booking. On the opposite end of the spectrum, our room had a wet laundry/mildew smell. No parking on premises which may be a norm is Los Angeles especially in such a walkable neighborhood. Staff and service were LOVELY. Wish management or corporate didn’t force them to work amongst such intense smells.

Didn’t get to stay here, they did not have a room even though I had a reso. I dropped my bag to check at 5pm, and asked to check in, hotel desk said no need, just come back after dinner. I came back at midnight and there WERE NO ROOMS. Just did not have a room for me but held my bag anyway. They offered to move me to second location but I’d have to move BACK to this hotel after first night. So at 1am, I had to find a new hotel. Would not recommend. The manager knew I was not going to have a room, and rather than call me and let me know, they waited until my check in. This hotel does not care about you, if they overbook and you are out of luck.

An excellent hotel in downtown Culver City, steps away from Culver Hotel and Steps. Great rooms, dogs are welcome, and Simonette restaurant downstairs is a great place for every meal. What is currently sorely missing is nearby parking.

The point that many of these negative reviews are missing is that this is a special place with great food and excellent staff: at the bar, in the hotel, on the restaurant floor, in the kitchen. Does it have quirks? Yep - and I feel right at home. Is the overall experience great? I would return here in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay

Beautiful hotel with character. The rooms are a bit small but they're comfortable. The shower is huge and the rainfall showerhead is wonderful. Service was polite and attentive. The location of this hotel is perfect with plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee nearby. The real gem of this hotel is the restaurant though. Excellent breakfast, coffee and drinks plus a burger to die for. We've already decided this is the only place we'll stay when in the LA area.

What an amazing experience. Such a great renovated hotel in an amazing area. All employees were so warm and caring, such a welcoming atmosphere with good vibes. Really good king beds and a great shower with nice amenities. Great recommendations (where to park and what to do). Everything was perfect incl. no issues with receiving a company invoice. Would love to visit again. Thank you 🙏🏼

Beautiful aesthetics and the location is amazing. Comfortable beds and the air flow was nice. Would absolutely stay again. There are little things about this hotel that make it feel very initmate. The preferred custom smell of the hotel is beautiful and is also not subtle so if you are someone with sensory issues or have sensitivity to perfume this would not be ideal- while we had no issues it is important to note for others. The service was extremely friendly.

Disliked · Room has a weird smell. Room was dark and dank. A/C doesn’t work well/ poor ventilation. They don’t clean room until like 4pm. Restaurant below makes so much noise you can hear in your room makes it difficult to sleep. Breakfast starts late at 8am. One morning I went downstairs to find a woman in the hallway on the floor in a huge puddle of her own urine screaming on the phone. On a personal level I had to leave a day early. I let them know 4 days before. The front desk told me it was fine and to contact booking.com for the refund. I went through the whole process. Booking said they needed to confirm with hotel. The hotel wouldn’t pick up the phone for them. I had to coordinate the call for them just so booking could tell me the hotel is refusing to give the refund. If they just told me no I would have been fine with it; but they made me waste my time. Wasn’t given a do not disturb sign. called the front desk asked them to tell housekeeping not to come because I had a headache and wanted to sleep. Housekeeping came 40 min later banging on the door. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The location and comfort of the bed was spot on. It's easy to walk to different restaurants and places near there. My only complaint is that the room is small. Also, great shower pressure.

It’s a decent hotel, in a nice location. Just be prepared to pay $50 for overnight parking. Ordered room service from the restaurant below, Simonette. They charged my card and took almost two hours just to bring me cold coffee and no breakfast. After calling the hotel and restaurant several times, I never did receive my food. The manager at the time, John, was very helpful and accommodating. If we do return it would only be because of his service.

The location is really great, off the street but close enough to the main road with access to everything. The lobby bar/ restaurant ia quite vibey and alive which offers a great hang out option, although it’s quite expensive. The rooms are really comfortable overall and clean, although I found the bed less to my liking. The shower is awesome although sometimes the light turns off while you are in it, it there’s no movement in the room, which is quite weird. Staff is quite nice overall. Would definitely come back again.

Wasn't really happy with my stay. This hotel has some advantages (hip feeling, nice finishes, best possible location in Culver City, mostly helpful staff, bar seemed decent, bed was fine) but there were major negatives. Specifically: really tiny rooms -- like, smaller than Manhattan, trip over your own shoes when you walk in, uncomfortable to spend any real amount of time in -- and really REALLY loud annoying HVAC. HVAC can only be controlled by calling the front desk, although at least they will crank it up if you ask. I slept with a pillow over my head every night, which got old! Also they have a big window in front of the toilet facing the bed so the bathroom is a privacy nightmare. Who the **** is asking for this? In conclusion... not a great experience. Seems like this hotel mostly exists to suck up studio expense accounts.

Came here for dinner. Their dining and bar area is just wonderful. They serve French fare here. Came on Bastille day so it was a mad house but normally this place is pretty chill.

Nice cool facility, but very poor attitude of the staff The hotel seems to be trying to charge for any possible slip you would make! No complimentary water but they provide bottled water that for charge and that may fool you to drink ot by mistake by the way they present it. Check out at 11 and they would charge 50$ for the first hour, 100 for the second and it would go on. I would not recommend anyone to stay here unless if they work on the attitude of the staff.

They claim to be a boutique hotel. It's just weird furnishings and funky wallpaper on a mediocre refab of an older hotel. Billing is always an issue. Last stay I had three charges on my card, one for the stay one for the valet and another for both. It took weeks for them to correct. Corporate booked me there again and I've already been charged for a refundable reservation a week out from the stay...

We stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is super close to many studios in culver city and is still in a very quiet area, but close to the Boulevard with many Restaurants and Bars. The hotel has nice large rooms, friendly service and a very good Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We will be happy to come back.

The hotel is overall comfortable and clean. The walls are pretty thin if rooms are all occupied so out of the 5 nights I stayed; there were 2 nights I was woken up by other people. The vibe is boutique and the restaurant is good for breakfast and dinner and a nice quiet work space when not filled. Would recommend for a work trip!
