Their team is very friendly. They have a nice parking space. I liked the environment. The inside look very cool. I will go there again.

I used to really love this place but the service has gone way downhill. When the owner is there it's great, but I came in on my way to work when a blonde guy was running the place and I had to wait forever while they did this guy's coffee. They didn't even acknowledge me until they finished that guy's order. I then I ordered two things and while I was waiting for my order, another guy came in and they stopped working on my order to work on his -- even though I had to wait for them to finish the other guy before they took mine. I asked the blonde guy why that was and he didn't apologize, explain, or try to make it right -- he just said it wasn't personal. Well sure but it's still bad service. I'm not planning to go there again

Highly recommending the white mocha, which price is fair. It’s a place you can stay all day for work.

Great coffee, wonderful jalapeño bagels and a friendly staff. They also play great music inside. Thanks Julius for suggesting Bizarre Tribe. Made the drive a breeze.

I really wanted to hate this coffee shop, but the delicous food and friendly service took me by surprise. They have limited parking spots, but that wasn't a problem if you go early enough. I ordered their drip coffee and it was subliminal- it had a perfectly light aroma to it and wasn't too hot. I'm really glad they had Splenda too. 😀 Their vegetarian burritos was affordable and delicious. The area bad cushy chairs that provided a cozy reading area, I just wish the music was toned down.

Great atmosphere, staff, and decent coffee house food. Parking is usually available as well, though some of the spots say 20 minutes only. Mostly tables for 2 people. Loft (open 9-6) has a large table, and a toy area for kids. Hard to see from the street.

Nice coffee shop with friendly baristas. Coffee is just okay. Iced matcha and iced mochas were very clumpy so avoid. But hot drinks are fine. Nice place to hang out and get some work done.

Normally they open at 0600, however they had a sign on the door stating they would open at 0800. No problem, as I got there at 0745. However, at 0807 they were still not open, nor did I see anyone inside prepping, so, I left.

First impression of this place was amazing! I was greeted by Kelly and she was awesome! It was my first time and I felt welcomed! I appreciate this totes! This I hard to come by when coffee shops are a chain - the local coffee shops is where it’s at! If you are in the area, I recommend visiting this place for sure! Cheers!

The best iced mocha in town, hands down. Smooth, not too sweet, not bitter. Excellent!

One of the more reliable early morning spots in the area. I tend to go here in the mornings before work. Generally very calm, nice staff, and good food options off you're looking for that.

Cute atmosphere. Very trendy. Like a seattle artist coffee house. Really strong coffee and fun protein shakes and refreshing drinks of the day

What I love: low foot traffic. Open early. Shaded in the AM. Friendly staff. What I wish for: More food options, outside outlets, comfortable seating for long hauls.

My first time coming to this coffee shop. The coffee was great. I ordered a mocha with oat milk. The vibe was nice but my reason why I’m giving this rating is the breakfast burritos. First off not made fresh the female employee grabbed them from a mini fridge and put them in the microwave. Keep in mind the burritos are so small and overpriced. I didn’t eat anything else after that burrito because I was feeling a stomachache. I got bad nausea. I just think microwaved breakfast burritos with eggs is not a good idea.

One thing I love about cycling in LA is getting to experience little known neighborhoods that I probably would otherwise never know about. Case in point: Hermon. I’ve lived in LA my entire life, essentially, and have never heard of it. Hermon, as it turns out, is a super quaint little village wedged between Highland Park and South Pasadena. Charlie’s is right in the heart of Hermon. Charlie’s is a dark (really dark) roast only cafe, so the coffee is just not my favorite, but I am admittedly not a fan of dark roast coffees. The prices were quite high for the quality, which is kind of hard to justify when some of LA’s most iconic coffee shops are within walking distance next door in Highland Park.

This place isn’t anything special, so when you have a basic menu with no prices and charge 6.75 for a large latte with no added Flavor. You better be special. If you come here to work all day on your laptop and you like that it’s quite, cool can’t argue with that. But if you want a high quality coffee shop, which LA is filled with, you can skip this place, you should skip this place.

Super friendly staff and quick. The selection of beverages is nice and they have some food items but I didn’t try them. Patio outside has nice chairs and if it gets too hot head inside and enjoy the cool atmosphere.
