Great hotel for a great price! The hotel is located in a good spot and is quite a steal compared to other hotels around the area. Love its functionality and how well-thought-out its amenities are. The rooms are warm and cozy, the staff members are polite and welcoming. Our check-in process was swift and detailed. Loved how the staff at check-in took her time to fill us in on everything we needed to know as well as give us other recommendations for the duration of our stay. One of my favorite parts is the Cafe that's open 24 hours, the ability to purchase gym wear for $5 in your size, and the several restaurants in and around the hotel's location! I also love that the hotel reception is generally cozy and warm despite its huge size. I wanted to give this a five-star rating but the room's outdated decor, and the general security of the property takes away from it.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! The rooms are nice. The view is beautiful. However, for the price of this room it's definitely not worth it. I booked 4 nights here and I'm currently laying in bed on my 4th night writing this review to help others not make the same mistake I did. For starters, All double bed rooms at this location are FULL SIZE beds The website does not specify and it's misleading and makes you think it's 2 queens. They are a little bigger than twin size mattresses. My refrigerator was broken I told the clerk on day 2 and they never sent anyone to replace it. The water pressure is extremely low. I felt like I was taking a Military basic training shower. The bed sheets and covers are very cheap and uncomfortable. They slide on the floor every night. Toilet paper is very thin and hard as well. It's a beautiful hotel but I'm vacationing with my family and for the price of these rooms it should be much better. I told the clerk and she gave me $50 voucher to use at the bar. Marriott and Westin please DO BETTER!!!

I couldn't sleep due to noise from outside of room. Tried to take a nap in the morning but I could hear house keeping from in the hallway and next to my room. I got compensation from what happened so I have no complain about this stay but I would not go back to this hotel. This hotel is huge. One of the biggest hotel I've ever been to which means it is crowded with people. On top of that, there are people who doesn't stay here because it is connected from a bridge from outside. There are shops inside of the hotel which bring more people from outside. Outdoor pool was big and have a beautiful city view. Gym was spacious with lots of equipment. I don't have photos of room. Only view from the room. (Seems like I deleted in accident.) Room was not so big and looked like outdated. Bathroom looked so old too. Staff from this hotel were very professional and did excellent job though.

Just checked out from a three night stay. This is a wonderful property with top notch service. From my initial contact with the valet attendant to the front desk and bar staff everyone was from and happy to help. Cleaning during the pandemic is of utmost importance to the staff and we felt very safe. The downside if any was the highway and construction noise but did not interfere with getting rest at night or relaxing poolside. We will welcome a return in the future!

We stayed at this Westin hotel for one night during our trip to L.A. Checking in was quick and easy. Alberto at the front desk was extremely friendly and professional. We were given suite upgrade and complimentary breakfast as being a Marriott bonvoy elite member. The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The only downside was the furnishing was a bit dated and the room was a bit small. The breakfast was very good with good variety and above average quality. Every staff we interacted with was very friendly and welcoming. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we won't hesitate to come back if we visit L.A. again. I knocked a star off for the dated furnishing in the room.

I recently stayed at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, and I must say, while the exterior of this iconic building is impressive, stepping inside feels like a journey back in time. The attempted 80s decor and 70s amenities give the place a distinct 90s vibe. Unfortunately, the hotel seems to be facing a decline, evident in the numerous vacant spaces on each floor—empty retail spaces, abandoned restaurant areas, and gift shops gathering dust. The few businesses that remain seem to do so out of necessity rather than choice. Sadly, the ones that stay are forced to charge exorbitant prices, two to three times more than their retail counterparts, due to the high operating costs within the hotel. During my stay for a work conference, the decline in quality was stark. Several associates who attended fell severely ill with diarrhea and vomiting, possibly due to poorly maintained food services. It left them gathering to figure out which items they collectively ate in order to find the food culprit. Despite charging 4 to 5 star prices, the hotel falls short in providing a luxurious experience. The sandpaper-like toilet paper and a lobby bar that struggles to make a proper sangria are clear indicators of the hotel's need for improvement. A Sangria should be fruity, sweet, dry, lush, smooth, and refreshing. Unfortunately, what was served was bitter, hard, strong, and lacking in fruit, except for three floating apple pieces identifiable by the stickers still attached to them which were now floating in this abomination claiming to be a Sangria. In conclusion, the Westin Bonaventure Hotel has a long way to go before it can truly claim luxury status. It currently feels more like a relic of days gone by, and improvements are needed across various aspects of the guest experience.

Date Of Check In: July 29, 2023. Time: Around 5/6PM I used to work here many many years ago in my youth. And I always try to stay here when visiting Los Angeles. Each time I stay, my experience get worse. And my recent stay was the worse on record. I blame poor management and a staff the could care less about its customers. One staff member was Alexi, who checked us in. She absolutely made it from bad to worse with her non caring attitude, he dismissive behavior and taking zero action to help us out. Then when I asked for a manager, she told me “there is one over there you can go to.” And of course the hotel manager also was too busy to hear of the horrible experience we had trying to check in. As Titanium Elite members, we’re familiar with Marriott. And this was not a Marriott experience. We tried to park in the garage, we were told no. We asked for assistance with our luggage, and we were told no! (At this point I was in disbelief!) So we parked across the street, no one offering to help us with our luggage so we lugged them to the front desk. Where, like I said, went from bad to worse. I an going to write to Marriott about this. This is unacceptable! Whatever your status, you don’t treat anyone like this!

The hotel is old and rooms need some updating. They were very clean and the views from the upper floors are pretty nice. Parking is also available for $50 per day. We enjoyed our stay there. Due to the homeless population near there and the trashy appearance of the city, I won't be coming back there.

Definitely not worth the price. The hotel is stuck in the 90s. It's scruffy and the standard room is not very roomy. The air in the room was stuffy and the bathroom was damp. As a bonus, the hallways stank of weed and the smell reached also into my bathroom. Reception staff were tired of life. The pool area was very spartan and uninviting. Breakfast was $24, not including orange juice, which was an extra $9. Simply offensive. I would pay max $60 per night for a hotel like this. Avoid!

We stay at Marriotts often because of the loyalty program and this is among the poorest front desk service we have received and very different from what we have come to expect. The hotel has great location and interesting architecture from the modernist design era but the interiors are little dated. That would be fine if not for the argumentative and inhospitable front staff. The bright spots are the housekeeping and valet teams who are efficient and cheerful. Rooms are spacious and clean and have good views.

The hotel is past its prime, and it shows. The lobby is a ghost of what must have once been a bustling slice of downtown LA. There had previously been several floors of businesses, which are primarily now empty. The guest rooms are fine, and the bed is actually quite comfortable. The hallways lack circulation and are rather warm. The elevators are a neat feature, and it was hard not to imagine being aboard The Wonkavator as it leaves the lobby and explodes into the sky. The valet/bellhop staff were very kind and personable (we didn’t have a car, just spoke with them when coming and going), but the same cannot be said for one of the women at the reception desk. I was staying at the hotel for a conference, and my wife came along. One of the keys wasn’t working, and we dropped in to ask about having it checked or replaced. For no apparent reason, she was a bit argumentative and asked if we “are even a registered guest here”. Huh? I had originally extended our stay an extra night, but we ended up cutting it to stay at a different hotel that felt more accommodating.

Iconic hotel in downtown LA. Staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are old, and unfortunately, there remains the old odor of when smoking was allowed, Perhaps replacing the carpet and wall covering would help. The bed, however, was very comfortable, and the room was very quiet. We were upgraded to a suite, which was quite large and had a separate toilet and bathroom. Also, the suite has a coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. The complimentary buffet breakfast had plenty of selection.

The rooms are fairly standard. Adequate would be a good word: for sleeping, changing, and bathing - it does the trick. We did room service for a couple of meals. The food options were good, and the food quality was excellent. The real "wow" factor would be the lobby/bar/dining area. It is quite beautiful. The location is great with easy access to dining, entertainment, and public transit.

The lobby is nice & modern. However, I was a bit disappointed with the size of the bathroom as it was pretty small. The room is also awkward in shape. There are vending machines on each floor; however, not all of them work with a credit card / Apple Pay / Google Pay. Some vending machines are cash only & this varies from floor to floor. If you drive a Tesla & plan to park in the parking garage, make sure to take your key card as they will not valet (the only option for the parking garage) the vehicle without a physical key or key card. Otherwise, the hotel has a nice gym & the lobby is a good place to lounge around. For the value, it is a decent hotel. However, a few upgrades would help me give it a better review.

Location is safe and clean. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The lobby is spectacular, it has a really good atmosphere. Service is overall good, but there's something i hadn't experienced yet in other hotels, you have to pay a handling fee for every package you receive at the hotel (the fees i got where in the range of $6 to $33). Would definitely go again, i would just not order as much packages there as i usually do though.

This place is so cool. They've filmed a whole bunch of movies here and when you walk in, you'll clearly see why. The bar in the middle of the lobby is very cool. They have restaurants and shops inside too (kinda like a small mall). Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would go back just to grab a drink at the bar. Also a very popular place for conventions. Highly recommended

Exceptional!!! This place was beautiful and had everything you could want. The place is gorgeous and I loved the glass elevators!!! We stayed on the 19th floor and the views were amazing. This hotel has been in lots of movies and there are movie posters in hallways which was cool. Let me tell you that these beds were awesome and the pillows changed my life. I had to call find out where I could buy a couple and get them ordered. Had a drink at the bar late night and service was wonderful as well.

This was my very first time in the U.S and the Westin Bonaventure made it a very pleasurable stay. The rooms were very welly kept, cleaned and spacious. Beds were so very comfortable and the view was nothing but spectacular. The staff were incredibly kind and generous and were willing to help with above and beyond. The amenities they offered were endless. The pool was gorgeous with a great view and the hotel offered numerous restaurants from casual to fine dining on different floors. Needless to say the food was top notch. However my favorite part was the atmosphere. It just felt so luxurious and relaxing and most importantly I felt very safe. The location itself was near downtown and great for roaming around. Overall highly recommend.

Online there's some pictures of nice looking rooms. Unfortunately we did not stay in a nice room whatsoever. In fact we didn't stay at all we drove 3 hrs home and back to LA the next day. The concierge and staff members were great, there's very limited eating options. If you're expecting the 18 restaurants that used to be there to be open, don't. There's a Starbucks and they have some fresh made Hotel food not bad. The valet was easy to get in and out of and those guys were awesome as well. Can't say enough great things about the people there. Also, they have electric vehicle charging at valet 😀

Rooms are a little older, but decent overall. Views and location are great though. Lots of bar and restaurant options within hotel if you don't feel like venturing out into the great LA eating scene. Really cool architecture in the lobby. Was a little irritated that we were turned away from the valet and the parking garage because it was full, but I guess it happens and the parking lot we were redirected to was only across the street.

It’s a nice hotel with great location ! Rooms were clean, bathrooms were great, amenities are awesome! There were two instances which were shocking to be, first hotel of this caliber doesn’t have dental kit, even 2 stars hotel provides you with toothbrush these days how can a hotel of this caliber and with 4 stars don’t ! Second and most shocking was I ordered something from house keeping and happened to left the room, instead of keeping the things outside they entered the room and left in room ! I found it very odd that they allow housekeeping to enter room without us being in there ! Gym are one the best around this hotel has to offer ! Rooftop pool is amazing amenities but these two instances bothered me a little ! I edited this after few days, now I am very concerned as hotel is running my card to charge me for car parking which I didn’t even use ! I never even used car near their garage and they thought it was okay to run my card without my permission!

I didn't exactly stay here. Just stopped for a brief visit. The only thing that is incredible about the LA Westin Bonaventure is that their elevators are INCREDIBLE! Fully scenic and give great views of the city!

such an iconic hotel! incredible views, unique architecture and nice amenities. rooms were a bit less spacious than desired. room cleaning was great and central location was perfect proximity from public transit and attractions around the city. would stay again!

Enjoyed our stay in Downtown LA. The staff at the valet and front desk was really helpful. Parking is $49 a day, but having in and out privileges was really useful. Just be aware, there can be times when the parking garage is full, so if you already have a valet ticket, hold onto it as it guarantees you your space. The building itself is iconic, from both the exterior and inside the lobby. Just a ride up the elevator can highlight this. Fun fact, Usher's "U Don't Have to Call" music video was filmed here.

My wife and I stayed at this place after watching a symphony orchestra in LA. This is a great hotel with very nice staff. There was a lot of noise though from other room(s) who were having some sort of party. The manager was nice enough to transfer us to a more quiet room.

This hotel is quite special. If you’re a film geek like me, you’ll recognize this hotel in several movies — the dark knight and true lies just to name a few!!! Rooms are clean and above average. The really good thing is the views of the high floors. You’ll get a nice view of the LA cityscape and mountain landscape. Restaurant hot breakfast buffet is good (even has congee). However it’s expensive if you don’t have a complimentary voucher (nearly $30). Fitness center is well equipped. Can’t complain. Large and spacious. There’s your full complement of cable machines (chest press, squats, lat pull down, fly) and dumbbells. Full complement of cardio equipment too (no ergs though).

The hotel itself was beautiful, and for the most part staff was extremely friendly. I have two complaints though - one is that the toilet paper holders in the room bathrooms - at least the one we had kept falling off of one side and causing the toilet paper to fall on the ground. Another issue was that no vending machine works. I tried the one on my floor, then on the floor where my friend was staying and neither would actually process the transaction. Besides that it was a nice stay.

This hotel enjoys a prime spot in downtown LA, making attractions like the Staples Center easily accessible on foot. Despite its convenient location, I do have one concern – there is a notable presence of homeless individuals in the vicinity, making evening walks past 7:30 PM somewhat uncomfortable. On a positive note, the hotel offers valuable amenities, though the daily cost amounts to around $50. Be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes for your car to be brought around. The third-floor pool is a real highlight, boasting stunning views. Moreover, there's a Starbucks serving coffee and a cocktail bar in the lobby area.

The location is okay and rooms are decent. I like the overall vibe of the hotel but here are some things I wanted to bring to the attention of staff and guests. First off, we stayed on the 17th floor so I was surprised to see that you could open the windows! Not all the way but enough to the point that someone could fit through. And second the pullout bed did not come with any sheets or pillows but the first one is more important

Located on the outskirts of Downtown LA, the location is rather quiet and free from the homeless/ drug users. The service by front desk and room service personnel was outstanding. The room was clean (no bugs) and presentable with a nice view. Only bad thing with this location is that the parking sucks. Highly recommend to use Uber or Taxi to get to the hotel. They do not have self-parking and only offer $49 valet parking fee. Price was a bit high but we're in Downtown so understandable. Problem is that you will need to wait quite awhile to get your car. There is usally a line going into the Valet parking (I waited about 5 minutes when I first got to the hotel for check-in) and when I came to retrieve my car for the night to go get dinner, I had to wait about 10 minutes. When I came back, there was a long line of cars waiting to check in with Valet - took me about 15 minutes for them to service me. On the day of check-out, I waited about 20~25 minutes to get my car. Maybe I was expecting too much for $49? I assumed that the service will be fast. This experience left such a bad taste for me and my business partner and we will sadly pass on staying at this hotel when we are around Downtown LA next time. Other than that, we love staying at Westin.

Spectacular!!! The hotel is absolutely breathtaking!! The rooms are very nice with amazing views! The service exceeded my expectations! Everyone on staff was wonderful!! The breakfast buffet had a great variety and was absolutely delicious! The gift shop had so much to offer. The location is great, convenient to so much within walking distance. I had a wonderful experience and hope to return again next year!!!

Great rooms with comfy beds and (if you’re lucky like us) a beautiful view of the “Hollywood” sign on the mountain. The bathroom had plenty of counter space and great, bright lighting. The large lobby was a perfect meeting place for our large group, whether it was near the coffee/breakfast station in the morning or the bar in the evening. The surrounding area is pretty dead, but the hotel is walking distance from Little Tokyo and steps away from some great restaurants (if they’re open). Would definitely stay there again.

This is a very unique hotel. It can be quite confusing at first glance but if you understand the layout, you can explore without fear. It's important to know that there are four almost identical sections so it's important to know what color is associated with where you would like to go. There are two main entrances, one on the West side, Figueroa and the other on the east side, Flower. The lobby has a bar in the center and the four color sections on each corner. Each section has interior elevators and exterior glass elevators where you can see the surrounding city as you ride. I think the best feature is the revolving restaurant at the top. The restaurant spins around continuously, ultimately providing a spectacular 360°view of Downtown Los Angeles. It's worth it to even have a drink and enjoy the scene.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles and overall, it was a great experience. The hotel offers a fantastic room, excellent service, and delicious food. However, there were a couple of issues that slightly dampened an otherwise enjoyable stay. Let's start with the positives. The room I stayed in was nothing short of amazing. It was spacious, elegantly furnished, and offered breathtaking views of the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The room amenities were top-notch, and the cleanliness was impeccable throughout my stay. The service at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and always willing to assist. From the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure that guests had a pleasant stay. The quality of service truly exceeded my expectations. Speaking of restaurants, the food at the hotel was absolutely delicious. The variety of options available catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I was impressed with the quality of the meals served. The attentive waitstaff and cozy ambiance further enhanced the dining experience. However, there were a couple of areas where the hotel fell short. Firstly, the pool was disappointingly cold. While the pool itself was clean and well-maintained, the chilly water made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. It would have been great if the hotel had taken measures to ensure a comfortable temperature for swimmers. Secondly, I encountered some issues with the concierge service. They were trying to help arrange transfers back to the airport, but unfortunately, their efforts proved unhelpful and left us feeling skeptical. The lack of transparency and effectiveness in their assistance made it seem as if there might have been some sort of scam or miscommunication. This was a disappointing aspect of an otherwise pleasant stay. In conclusion, The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites offers a fantastic experience with its luxurious rooms, great service, and delectable food. Despite a few drawbacks, such as the cold pool and the questionable concierge service, I would still recommend this hotel for its overall quality and comfort.

It's a very beautiful hotel in a nice location with Wonderful views, clean spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The staff were nice & helpful. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay very much. In our 1st room the heater wasn't working correctly, it was super loud & not putting out heat, but when I called the front desk they got us moved with no problem at all. Next time we're in town, we're staying here!

The hotel itself was clean and well-kept. I stayed in a room with a single bed and, while on the small side, had everything I needed and was well-layed out. I had minimal interactions with hotel staff but when I asked a gentleman at the front desk for dining recommendations, he was very polite and very helpful. He recommended a lovely restaurant, off-site, but within a very short walking distance. Which brings me to the point that dining options were few. The most difficult part of my stay was the amount of noise I constantly heard in my room. It doesn't help that I'm a light sleeper but I have rarely had such a difficult time at other hotels I've stayed at. I didn't spend a single restful night while at this hotel. It was disappointing too because there was so much more about this hotel that I liked.

The layout of the hotel is so interesting. The rooms are all rounded and have a view of the city. It's so different. The elevators are glass too, which was not ideal for my son and mom who do not like heights, but it's a cool trip up the elevator if you don't mind heights.

Hotel guests beware: rooms were not secure. Many other guests were able to enter the rooms of other guests with same key fob. The food was 3 star at best. There was a shortage of drinking water. The water being served was tap water and it tasted as if it was from the LA River. The rooms were not properly cleaned. Hair was found in the tub along with an old bra in the closet. This is a historic hotel, but definitely is need of some upgrading.

Stayed for a conference. The service I received was outstanding. Everyone from the front desk to banquet waitstaff were fantastic. The rooms are a little dated but by no means bad. Everything was considering comfortable enough. The rooms have an iron, mini fridge and basic amenities. The conference floor was a bit confusing considering there are no elevators that connect to it from the room towers but it’s manageable. Restaurant/bars, convenience shop and a gym are all in the hotel.

Very nice hotel with the perfect location and view. I recently had my second stay here, and it was as good as the first time. Staff are so kind and professional. I kind of owe you an apology. I forgot that I charged the lounge bill to the room and asked what this charge was to the Marriott survey. I feel so bad because it was a really good stay. I will definitely come back this hotel next time when I come to LA.

Really wanted to enjoy my stay here. But unfortunately having your room uncleaned twice during a four nights stay really sucks! And the worst is you never get an apology. It’s always met with an - “okay, so what do you wanna do about it” attitude. Service!? What’s service? Mr. Portman, my former boss, designed the hotel so I do love the architecture and the renovation of the rooms have been done well. But wished the service level can be on par.

This was the hotel included in our Amtrak travel vacation package. We were amazed by the structure, the front desk and concierge were very helpful and receptive. Great hotel and service. Our room had a great view of the LA's financial district. No wonder it was rated a 5-star hotel. Highly recommended.

Overall this hotel was great. The location is central to the downtown Los Angeles experience and the service within the hotel was excellent. Wish some of the closed restaurants were open but this location is a short walk to the Grand Marketplace which helped. Would recommend this location for folks who want the downtown LA experience.

The lobby and outside seem very nice. There’s several different amenities in the lobby including a restaurant and fedex print. The room was eh and shaped weird, but worked for sleeping lol. For the price I paid I expected better but wasn’t bad.

This hotel is top notch right from front desk to lake view bistro. I stayed for 6 nights, wonderful staff. I greatly appreciate front desk staff especially Raymond Jackson for being so polite and helpful, making my stay so wonderful. Definitely will stay here again. And also very polite and hardworking housekeeping. Thank you all.

Double Room in towers a little small but sufficient. Center tower are a little larger. Modern bathrooms & fixtures. Large floor to ceiling windows & sufficient adjustable sheers & darkening curtains. Standard USB & Power bedside & desk. Large heated pool. Sunny most of the day except high noon. A few shops & restaurants 1st to 6th fl but a lot closed during pandemic & not reopened. Large convenience store 4th fl. Better than 1st fl gift shop. Parking is outrageous every garage in the area about $50 a day. Great convention hotel, lots of meeting and banquet space 3rd floor and basement.

Downtown LA, 4 towers with exterior elevators that give vertigo 😅 It’s quite old but iconic, the lobby is really huge. Pool was closed when we stayed because of maintenance. Rooms and hallways smell tobacco coming from years when people could smoke indoors. There’s no smart TV. The view from your room is nice. Breakfast is amazing but super expensive especially for kids : 16$( half price from 5 to 12yo). It’s not far from metro but not close. There’s an indoor parking, prepare a budget for it. Staff is nice and competent.

Beautiful lobby but the rooms are lackluster and had an odor. Definitely disappointed but technically has all your needs for a short trip to downtown LA if you’re not planning on spending a lot of time in the hotel room. Good location. Valet was timely in my experience.

We stayed last year in 2022. We wanted a hotel within walking distance to the Disney Concert Hall. We were so impressed that we returned again this year (2023) for another stay & Christmas Concert. Rooms are spacious. Clean. Affordable. Valet parking is amazing & Super Friendly. Restaurants are wonderful. Starbucks inside open 24 hours.

This is an older property but it still has the elegance of a "Westin". The elevator are super cool and give you that movie experience. Rooms very comfortable, and check out with Luis was fast and professional. This was my 2nd Westin property and would stay here again.

As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, my expectations for high-quality service and customer care are aligned with the status and reputation Marriott proudly presents. Unfortunately, my recent interaction with the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles was not only disappointing but downright unacceptable. I had made a simple request to add a family member to my reservation, which I was assured had been completed by an employee named Cindy. However, this assurance was proven hollow when my family member was refused the breakfast voucher the following day, as their name was not listed on the reservation. This oversight reflects poorly on the hotel’s commitment to service and attention to detail. The communication with Cindy was terse, unprofessional, and lacked the warmth and efficiency one would expect from a high-end establishment. When questioned for clarification, her responses were dismissive, and at one point, she gave the impression that addressing customer concerns with clear information was too much to ask for. I find it hard to believe that a renowned hotel like the Westin would hire someone who exhibits such a lack of customer service skills and commitment to their job. This experience has led me to decide that not only will I never stay at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites again, but I will also advise my extensive network, including over a million social media followers, to consider alternative accommodations when visiting Los Angeles. Hospitality is about creating a welcoming and seamless experience, and unfortunately, the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites has failed to deliver on this basic principle. It is my hope that by sharing my experience, potential guests will be forewarned, and the hotel management will take serious steps to improve their service.

The best hotel in town! Truly comforts of your home while away. It is our usual holiday to spend on the beach. Not this time. We spend our holidays here in the hotel, as my friend referred to me. I am glad we did because the place was amazing. The kids love it. And the staff was very accommodating and hospitable. We surely come back here again for a future stay. The best!

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a place. They compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of my favorites in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Very elegant place. Rooms are really nice & bathrooms are very modern. The pool is nice, not very big & not heated very well but its a nice area. They provide towels for you to use. Hotel is very clean & well organized. Highly recommend!

A lady named Alexis was very nice during my entire stay here for my birthday around 2 weeks ago . She had very welcoming sweet energy. Thank you again for making me feel comfortable as a guest during my entire stay . She was extremely nice making me feel very welcome as a Marriott brand ambassador. Thank you again Ms. Alexis ! Nice hotel! I enjoyed my time there. The bar, the gym, the ambiance everything was great. Awesome customer service. Valet parking is always on point even when it is busy. I will suggest you call valet a head of time and let them know when you want your car pulled up to the front so that you do not have to wait when you get down there. Continently located near bars and restaurants that are walking distance.

I had the "privilege" of recently staying down town LA a few months apart. Once at a Hilton with self parking next door. Once at the Bonaventure where I used valet parking. I'm a huge fan of if I am paying for a service then it should be better than I could manage on my own. Unfortunately, the valet parking here is a complete waste. Not sure it's because they aren't back into the swing post COVID, but the service and extra time of valet is mind numbing. It was twice the price and way longer than parking myself. It didn't even have the benefit of a bell hop and taking up luggage, so why bother. Nice enough suites in the yellow tower. But don't use their parking.

I'm not sure why this hotel had bad reviews. We saw or experienced nothing but professionalism. Views were great, the bed and pillows were comfy, and the food was good in the restaurant on the 35th floor. Great experience, although breakfast was too expensive. As for the neighborhood restaurant--nasty!! Food in LA is garbage.

This hotel holds a special place in our family's history. My husband and I stayed here the 2nd night of our marriage. The rooms are nice, but small. The elevators are so fun. I love the rotating lounge.

Me and my Dad stayed here for three nights during our trip to Los Angeles. I stayed here ten years ago, only returned here in the middle of January 2022. Some of the shops at the moment seemed to be closed due to the pandemic but there are still other places in the hotel open. I thought the lobby bar was nice, the morning café bar was lovely with options of fresh salads and fresh baked breakfast. The people working there were lovely. I also thought the safety of this hotel was great. The lifts are still the same as I had remembered, amazing views of Downtown LA as your reaching the floor level you are staying in. If you look from one of the towers you can see the Hollywood Sign. The top floor restaurant was closed during our stay as the restaurant is only open Thursday - Sunday. I thought the hotel was beautiful overall and I will be definitely going back :)

Beautiful location. Great staff. Does have construction going on, but still a very nice place to stay and the staff is excellent! Location is good if you like high traffic areas. Valet parking and parking garage available for extra charge, but easy to get to places from.

Ambassador review from a February 2023 stay. The Westin Bonaventure is an awesome property with great views, rooms, and a nice location, but even better staff! I encountered crazy weather which significantly impacted by flight scheduled, and Patrick (front office manager) was extremely kind and accommodating. I will DEFINITELY stay here again when I am in town for this reason alone. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Just checked in a few hours ago. Beautiful hotel, clean room - albeit small (king, 30th floor). Bathroom offers plenty of counter space. All that aside, as this is just a place I'm sleeping while on business in the area, I cannot rave enough about Raymond at the front desk. Extremely personable, friendly and inviting. You see it and hear it all the time - the front desk can make or break a stay. With Raymond greeting guests, this hotel won't have any problems. Kudos to him!

Great for this being the first time that I ever stayed at a Westin. Amenities were for the adults. Not kids and I travelled with 4 kids under 18. Stores and shops inside of the hotel need to be updated. There are 2 floors that could be better suited for guests. Staff provided a band to bring in the New Year! This was amazing A Value is well for the money - parking was 50 bucks a night, but the car was readily available. Bar had a great bartender, but drink prices were similar to stadium prices. Location was amazing. Walking distance to a million places to eat, drink, and shop. Ordered cleaning every day and staff was very respectful and punctual. They did an amazing job with this being "Covid season". I loved it. In retrospect, I understand pricing and upscale dining because of this being such a prominent place. So do take this review with a grain of salt.

Architecturally impressive and interesting building, but agree with other reviewers about the state of rooms: very tired and a lingering odour of smoke. The bed was quite comfortable, however, and housekeeping was helpful when I needed some extra towels. I was here for a conference but would likely look elsewhere if I was staying for pleasure or needed to be in the room more.

This hotel is the biggest and oldest hotel in town. The pool area was very clean and the children enjoyed themselves. The garden was well kept and the staff was very diligent and accommodating. The trees, flowers, beautiful garden that surrounds it are amazing. This is a perfect hotel for me. Highly recommended!

Had a great stay again. Always love coming to this venue. Clean! Professional and friendly staff, and we have even been remembered by several. We will be back again!!! (Only thing, this time when we went to check out and get a luggage cart, our room was "closed out" by the time we got back to it. The door keys no longer worked. Come on, Front Desk. Give folks some time to get their luggage on the cart before you rush us out the door. Again, this has happened only once.) ALL of the rest of the staff are great!!!

Aging and dirty-looking in places. The carpet in the room tries unsuccessfully to conceal dirt. Huge hotel though with ample meeting spaces. Many on-site restaurants are closed. Some homeless people nearby made walking less desirable. Overall not good value in my opinion. Staff were all great though and food at the brewery was pretty good, though breakfast at the restaurant in the lobby was not.

Currently US BANK, I used to occasionally stay there when my client, Union Bank, was Mitsubishi. The accommodations were nothing short of fantastic. The room's elegance and comfort provided a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It felt like a home away from home. Thank you for creating a memorable experience. I look forward to returning to your wonderful hotel in the future.

Solid choice if you are coming to town to run the LA Marathon. If you book a hotel through the LA Marathon website, you can take a "hotel" shuttle to the start line (and back from the finish line) - a very convenient "perk". The hotel shuttle picks up on Figueroa Street less than a block from this hotel, and drops you off at the same place. When I checked in, the front desk clerk knew all about this and immediately gave me the correct wrist band I needed (and she was very nice and friendly). This hotel is good in other ways- the elevators are fast and available. There is a 24 hour gym that is great for some warming up before the run. The room was clean and quiet with plenty of towels and had an ironing board, refrigerator and a coffee maker. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. My only disappointment was being charged 5 dollars for a can of Pepsi in the lobby grab and go restaurant!

Good taste and class never goes out of style. Impeccably clean rooms. Well trained staff. Location is in an excellent spot to experience the best downtown Los Angeles has to offer. You can walk to pretty much everywhere. The Westin Bonaventure is an affordable luxury you should indulge in at least twice in your life!

We stayed at a Westin in Phoenix and was impressed with the brand. This was was comparable to the Marriott Marquis in NYC. It was very similar in many ways. We loved how each staff member had a commitment to detail. From the valet, to room service, and everyone in between. Our beds were comfortable, the showers had high pressure (our favorite!😍), and the food was pretty good. This place definitely made our stay in Los Angeles more convenient and enjoyable. We loved being within walking distance of so much and within 20 minutes of most everything you’d want to see/do while in LA for a couple of days. I wouldn’t take a chance on another hotel in this area, honestly. We saw people have to park on the streets and in public garages with other hotels, and this isn’t an area where you’d want to chance having to do that at night. Walking around after sunset is not recommended, obviously. This is SO much different from NYC in that regard.

Very nice hotel. They should have more than 2 people checking in, but I survived. Customer service was superb. No microwave in the room, but they brought one upon request! Would definitely come again.
