Tourist attraction Historical landmark Pedestrian zone

👍👍 Very nice walk to see your favourite stars. We were in Los Angeles for a four days and the walk of fame is a must if you ever go. It is free and you can chill and see as little and as much as you want. A lot of interesting shops and things to do along the way to break it up. Well worth the visit. People often mention stars, walk, Hollywood, visit, street, people, Fame, Walk, homeless, parking,

First time ever checking out The Hollywood Walk Of Fame and it was really cool. It's also like a scavenger hunt trying to find names. Good amount of homelessness but if you just mind your own business you should be good. Lots of people trying to take photos for money and selling stuff too. Worth checking out!

This place is an iconic landmark in Hollywood, CA. To have such a high prestige on the world is tough, I admit. While we still enjoyed our visit, this street didn’t live up to the expectation. It was dirty, seemed unattended and we could also perceive several homeless camps around. This last, of course, is not something I’d blame the place itself, but the lack of provisions from the city to help this people in need. Overall, it is a good place to enjoy some of the attractions and museums and also the fact that you were there, in such a famous place. Bottom line: Barely recommended.

It really was a dream since i was a kid to be here or walk here one day. It really was a great feeling to walk the most famous walk in america. If you get the chance to, you really should try the hard rock cafe. It was amazing. Apart from that you have many shopping options to get comfy. It was great here. See you soon!

We were lucky enough to be accommodated on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during our stay. That's why we walked down this long street full of world-famous stars many times. There we visited the film museum, attended a performance at the Chinese Theater and, with great luck, won tickets for a guided tour of the Dolby Theatre. There was no shortage of random movie stars either.

Whatever. You have to do it. Find a couple stars and snap a pic. Ogle the Chinese theater and get a selfie with it behind you. Buy a fridge magnet of Los Angeles. Check out a street performer. Get some food. Peruse one of the plentiful head shops if you're into that. Or lingerie stores. Or tourist traps. It's a big circus with a generous side-helping of drug addicts and homeless people. Good for a couple hours entertainment. It really deserves 3 stars IMO but I'm giving it 4 just cause what the hell... it's kind of a bucket list item I guess.

Actually a really neat and bizarre experience. I enjoy things like this with crowds of people and a vacation-y experience. Packed with tourist shops and wacky people this is definitely a must see in California. My family didn't feel the same, small children won't exactly enjoy this. But if you're big into celebrity culture and pop culture this is for you.

Enjoyed the sights of the stars and the nice walk down Hollywood Blouvard. It was fun finding the names of our favorites while enjoying the sights. We didn't get hassled by street performers or homeless like we thought, and the area was pretty clean, so maybe coming to visit during the work week is key?

Be prepared to walk! .. Plenty of parking spaces at the Ovation Hollywood Mall, and if you happen to purchase anything from the mall, even if it's a coffee from one of the cafés, get your parking ticket validated to get a couple of hours of parking for 3 bucks! That'll be plenty to walk around the block, view the path, buy some souvenirs, and even see some street performers. Overall, it is a good place to visit during your stay in LA.

I believe it’s Highly overrated place. It's a must visit for the first time visitors to enjoy your walk while looking for any familiar Hollywood stars. This was my second visit to the walk of Fame and the equation has drastically changed It was well maintained in the year 2018. As of now, the place seems to have poorly maintained. Due to the uncontrolled rent market many have lost their homes and put up their tents on the streets. However I see that the streets are continuously being cleaned to avoid thrash floating around in the air. The touristy section of the street is still looking clean and could be the one where you want to take pictures.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame has its iconic charm, no doubt, but after walking, I couldn't help but feel it's a tad overrated. The initial excitement gives way to the realization that it's a crowded and touristy stretch. While the stars themselves hold a piece of Hollywood's history, the bustling sidewalks and constant foot traffic can make it challenging to fully appreciate the experience. It's almost as if the glitz and glamour of the entertainment world clash with the realities of the city. That said, it's worth a visit if you're a film buff or a fan of celebrity culture, but don't set your expectations too high. The real magic of Hollywood might be found in unexpected places beyond the star-studded sidewalk. 🌟🎬🚶‍♂️

Hollywood Walk of Fame The Walk of Fame is a must see for a first time Hollywood / LA tourist just like the Hollywood sign. If you are like me I prefer to secure the map of locations of those stars that I’d like to see and catch others along the way. With over 2750 stars and growing there’s a vast collection of stars to see.

It's disappointing that great artists are honored with this. After reading some reviews, my expectations weren't high, but the reality was worse than I had imagined. I went to there as the first thing I was going to do in LA, and what an awful first impression. It all starts with trying to find a place to park. Some places were charging $40 just for parking, so I kept circling around until I found a spot on the street. Unfortunately, almost all of the parking meters had no instructions, as the labels were torn off. This is terrible for someone who is not from the US. Eventually, I found a meter with a QR code which led to an app that is not available in my Google’s account country. Nice move! Geo-locking an app that is probably going to be used by tourists. After finally exchanging some quarters to pay for the parking meter, which I'm still not sure if I paid correctly, I heard an angry homeless person approaching and shouting in the street. I quickly locked up the car and started walking away. While walking through some blocks, I constantly felt the smell of urine. Many of the stars were dirty, with gum and tire marks from bicycles. Some stars were blocked by tents and people trying to sell stuff. Locals may become impatient with tourists who stop to take pictures. If you are a fan of cinema and want to visit, thinking this is a way to honor these artists, better think again. It should be called the Walk of Shame.

It is famous that's why I visited. I believed this is a big wide street with no cars, only pedestrians who can enjoy looking to the stars. No, instead the street is full of vendors, clowns, performances and also homeless. It's very crowded because it's narrow, extremely dirty to the point you can barely read the name on some stars. Absolutely disgusting, a big disappointment!

Actually many names are dirty and damaged. Some of them are not visible due to the wear of tourists. This is an iconic area that attracts many people to come. Too bad that you can smell the weed and urine in many places here. Some areas you can see dog dumps. That is saddening to see all this, but it actually exists. People clean it in the morning and it is still not changing much by night. Generally a safe place with sun, but at night, you’d better stay away so avoid unnecessary danger.

Amazing place. This place is one of the most happening places in the world. This was my first tourist destination while I visited the USA first time. I really felt the Hollywood vibes here. So many people were dressed in different costumes and characters. They were offering a photograph for a cost. This place is having so many restaurants and clubs.

This is one of the “must do attractions” in Los Angeles! It’s a relatively short walk where you can not only find the star of your favorite Actor, Singer or Artist, because there is not only for Actors… there are many personalities for different disciplines and/or industries; but you can a also visit other local attractions that are great such as: the Kodak Theater, Chinese Theater among others. This is a fun place, you can look for your favorite stars, some of them has printed their feet and hands on walls or in the side wall and you can have a closer feeling of them. Last but not least, some of the Hollywood Tours starts here and there are many souvenirs stores too! 100% recommended 👍

This is the perfect time to visit this place because its not that full like it usually was before the pandemic. You are also able to drive by it with no problem because there is not too much traffic. This is a huge plus because you can take great pictures with your favorite celebrities stars and you will not have a bunch of people in the background photobombing your picture.

The walk of fame is a must when you visit LA. We took visitors in a weekend and there was great as always, performers on the streets, stores all around and all famous persons while you walk, amazing and unique place. Parking lots are available around the Hollywood Boulevard in case you don't find a spot. Enjoy your visit. Highly recommended 👌 👍.

Super cool. Wish my wife and I had more time to walk around more. So many stars we didn’t expect to see. A lot of cartoon characters plus movies dressed characters dressed up to take pictures with. Many areas to take pictures with pros and back drops. I love it and will be back a few more times.

Basically a busy sidewalk with the celebrity name on a star on the ground. I gave it a 5 star since there’s no fee or anything. There are entertainers (singers/dancers) who are performing on the sidewalk and you can put money on their bucket. Colorful lights all around. Food stand and Shops all around too.

Nothing to do at Walk of Fame, only looking at names, this is my 2nd time here, not recommended to anyone, waste of time and lots of traffic. Private parking charges me $10 for less than 30mins, difficult to find parking also unless you want to pay high ticket, streets are dirty and smells bad. Sorry Hollywood

Not what we were expecting. Took our girls to Hollywood Blvd to check out the Walk of Fame. It’s completely NOT how it’s depicted in movies. Litter and homeless people everywhere. We couldn’t walk a block without being bombarded by people selling souvenirs and t-shirts. The only enjoyable part of this visit was Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Its the only place in Hollywood we recommend visiting, very fun and educational place to take the kids! 👍

It is worth a visit because it has a distinguished history. As I heard that the famous boxer Muhammad Ali is the only one who refused to put his name on these stars on the street.

I went for the first time ever. I’ve always heard of it from people and movies, etc. I’ve always gotten mixed reviews; homeless, dirty, overrated, beautiful, cool. Go for yourself, at least once. I’m an adult already but it was still very cool to go walk and see celebrity names that I care about. I was honestly there to go see Dwayne Johnson’s. The walk was nice not tooooo long. Plus, there are stores and restaurants to stop in between. Definitely the place to get souvenirs. Street parking is, non existing. But they do have parking garages. I don’t think the amount of homeless was bad.

Not worth the trip in my opinion. There is plenty of other great places to visit in Los Angeles. The street is filled with homeless people screaming or scam artists praying on the tourist.

A walk down Hollywood Boulevard is worth the experience at least once. It's really hard to get a true appreciation for all the sidewalk stars when crowds of people are constantly walking over them. And then there's vendors on the sidewalk taking up space, too. I did not take the time to see all the stars, but it's fascinating to see it in person.

One of the top three places in LA to visit. Every celebrity has their name etched into a wall of fame star.. the street has a top of entertainment options and bus tours. Just don't get scammed with local gambling.

It's surprising how long the Walk of Fame really goes, but makes sense considering how many stars there are. It's a lot of fun seeing all the various famous stars and even more so to see how they grouped many of the more famous ones together. The area is extreme touristy of course, and honestly not the nicest area in a lot of parts, but definitely worth it if you're in Hollywood.

Walking along reminded me of all the movies and stars I need to go back and watch again. Plenty of nostalgia for both movies and music. If you are planning on taking pictures, it is a lot easier if you get there early.

Amazing place to visit, lots of dressed up people push you to take pictures with them for money, the best thing is to avoid them and if you wanna take pictures make sure you agree for the price first or else they can ask as much as 40$ for a photo

The street was clean, better than New York City Times Square. Names on the Stars are difficult to find at night. Some names on stars are very dirty and barely visible. Difficult to find street car parking. We ended up parked in the shopping mall parking lots paid $3 for 2 hours.

Super fun experience! I got to see all the stars. It's a lot of walking but worth it. Unfortunately there is significant homelessness around. Be sure to keep your eyes open for scams as well. It was overall a great to sightsee!

Had Goosebumps while walking the street with walkways peppered with the names of Hollywood stars and other heavy weights. View of Hollywood was hazy due to fog. Famed Kodak theatre best known for hosting Oscar awards and now re-named as Dolby theatre was a treat to watch with all Oscar winning movies of yester years hung on the sides. Even blank name boards for future movies are showcased. One can indulge in a shopping spree of Hollywood souvenirs from nearby shops all at 5 $ apiece.

This place looks way better on TV, I was expecting something more exciting while walking down to find my favorite star, couldn’t locate some of them, and just like other reviewers say, homelessness is a real problem on the walk of fame, you barely enjoy with so many people laying around. I hope they can find a home and shelter soon, so the walk of fame don’t turn into the walk of shame.

It used to be a prosperous tourist attraction with lots of people. But now it seems going down a lot, same as Hollywood. The real problem is, the streets, sidewalks and buildings look so old, filthy and dirty, and the homeless and wondering men on the street made me feel not safe. The stars are the same as before(with some additions). There are street food, artists, and homeless as well. Being honest, I have no desire to stay there and never want to go back again.

  • 2/5 Guillermo F. 2 years ago on Google
Not the best touristy spot. The side walk was full off homeless asking for money, illegal street vendors, performers in costume asking for money, and lots of pot heads smoking. Don’t come here along and definitely do not walk here at night alone. Sadly lot of the stars are damaged and need cleanings.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame seemed much cleaner recently than it was pre-covid. There is lots to see and do with lots of restaurants, shops and attractions. You can search for your favorite actor's star or just sit and have a drink and watch people walk by. No trip to Hollywood is complete without a walk down the Walk of Fame.

  • 5/5 Robbie C. 2 years ago on Google
The experience you get being down in Hollywood is so exhilarating. You can be listening to the best street performers while jedi knights walk up for a photo op with you. There's so much to do you'll never get bored.
