Truly, a fantastic experience from the moment we walked through the doors. Everyone is very friendly, approachable and respectful. The instructors are absolutely amazing, not only with my daughter, but with all the students. I saw true differentiation and acceptance of students at all levels. I have seen them foster and promote confidence, self-discipline, and courage. Definitely would recommend anyone to American Martial Arts Academy.

My daughters started in August, and they love their classes! They really love their instructors and can't wait to promote to work with some of the other instructors as well.

Nothing but good things to say about American Martial Arts Academy. They run a wonderful after school program that includes a karate class. Best of all for a working parent, they pick kids up directly from school and my kids come home with their homework done. This allows us to really enjoy family time when we all get home at the end of the day. Miss Hannah and Miss Lili are great after school program teachers. They are excellent communicators and willing to do what it takes to help make your child successful. I've seen excellent growth in my kids in terms of maturity and discipline. This is a small local business and the community that has had such a positive impact on my kids and my family. I do not know what I would have done without them.

Love this place, my twins used to go to other studio, but they don’t really like it, every class become miserable for both of them and us, so we have to quit. But this one is definitely the one, they do it little differently, I think this one more like MMA, with finesse and everything, not just the poses. And you don’t need to set your schedules, like to come on the set days, you can come on your own schedule, doesn’t matter on what days. As long as you come to how many time a week, that makes so easy for me, we just come on the day whatever we can. Looooove! Ohh, and forgot to mention, they got way more instructors here, every of them are full of love and friendly. Boys love them all. Usually all the classes are full of kids, but today we got lucky, only few of them, lol, they got all the extensions. I bet the early week day is the days to go. Kids had so much fun while they are learning! Now they can’t wait to come to the class every time, yeah! Happy babies happy mommy!

My 8 year old is fascinated with the sensei’s and class. It’s a fun and educating class. The sensei’s have an efficient way to keep kids motivated. Really happy I found this place. The wonderful lady at the front desk is always so nice and always willing to help parents and kids when we have questions. Overall this place is amazing and would recommend to everyone as they have a time to fit your busy children’s schedules.

My 4 year old son has been attending AMAA for the past month and we are seeing his development. Its a wholesome atmosphere, he is happy and eager to go for each class and the instructors are wonderful, teaching them important topics such as being aware of "stranger dangers", discipline and teamwork in addition to the karate per-se. Facilities like changing rooms and toilets are very good and clean. Fully recommended.

My wife and I (in our 50’s) have been going to this Dojo for about a month for exercise and self defense. The staff and all the other students have been super nice and patient with us and we’re having a great time and learning a lot. We love this place!

Our son has been a student here for 5 years. He likes the facility (it’s his home away from home) but most of all he connects with all of the excellent instructors and the entire community. He really enjoys his classes, after school program and summer camp. All of the instructors are so helpful and professional. Each success is celebrated in special ways and challenges are met with appropriate guidance, great instruction and compassion. The Senseis even offer life coaching when extra help with the struggles of growing up come along. My personal karate journey began 3 years ago. Stepping onto the karate mat was a big step out of my comfort zone. Each instructor offers insightful instruction and encouragement each step of the way. It’s a well rounded journey that is truly challenging and fulfilling.

Honestly, hands down a great environment for nurturing your little ones while teaching them self defense, confidence building and discipline! My youngest recently started and loves the classes but she is a little hesitant at times. The instructors and staff take the time to help her warm up individually. She has definitely taking a liking to Mrs. Joshi!

I've been bringing my two kids ages 6 & 4 yrs old to this academy for about a month now and I'm so pleased with the classes . The instructors are professional and knowledgeable. My son is very timid so I was a bit worried about him joining but I must say it's been such a great experience so far because he's opening up and participating more which is hard for him. Overall, I highly recommend American Martial Arts Academy.

We joined during a Halloween special and our 3 yr old son loves his classes. When he was having difficulty focusing, they suggested he try a 15 minute private session and the difference after that was night and day. They are taking the time to get to know him and what motivates him to make sure he is successful. They really care about their kids and it shows!

This martial arts school is one of the best in OC/LA area. We have one boy and one girl and they both love their instructors and love to go to their classes every time. The instructors are professional and keep the kids focused all the time through interactive activities. Family friendly environment and healthy competition. Thank you so much. Regards, Mohammed Ayman's & Sima's dad

Been attending AMAA for years, here at the Placentia location. The instructors are fantastic, welcoming and patient. Definitely a family-friendly karate experience. If you have kids, and are nervous about a ‘Kobe’s Kai’-esque experience, don’t worry. This is definitely not that. I’ve had my son there since he was four, and he loves the staff. He even wants to teach, because of them. Check AMAA out. You won’t be disappointed.

American Martial Arts Academy is a place where my fearful and shy 5 year old months later was standing in front of a crowd performing her karate moves. The senseis here have a gift. They have an ability to engage anyone that steps into their facility. They are fun and friendly, but they teach everyone the importance of discipline and respect. They are structured; the kids learn karate here. They are persistent in a good way, which tells the child they are not going to give up on them. Their energy is contagious. They are a family. We love AMAA, and would recommend it for all ages.

Always a safe and friendly environment. Staff is constantly checking if class went well or if we have questions. It’s my sons 2nd month and I’ve seen improvement in just a few weeks.
