My go to spot for all my saltwater needs...R.O. Water and Saltwater cheaper than any other LFS I've shopped. Doesn't over charge or over mark up everything like most LFS. Art can order any food, supply, and most importantly any fish or coral you are looking for...if he can get it he will be up front about pricing and always gives honest advice...Clean and brand new store...Highly recommend for new and experienced reefers...

This guy is down to earth ready to help you in reef related problems and has a lot of supplies. Honestly not even bigger shops have what you find here that’s why I like coming down to check him out every time!

Art is the man! He’s in a cool spot in North Pasadena. He sells high quality tropical fish and coral. If you are into reefing you have to hit up Art’s spot because the shops always carrying the best clown fish, tangs, butterflies and all the rest of the best reef goodies around.

I have to say that Art's fish store is a one-of-a-kind. What stood out to me was how healthy the fish he kept looked and how well everything is taken care of. On top of that, just his super welcoming and warm demeanor from him and his staff. This store is top-notch! I am happy to hear that the store will be expanding, which is a plus because he carries all kinds of salt water and fresh water fish and will soon be carrying reptiles! What makes him stand out from the other pet fish stores, is he is truly in it for the hobby and not the money. And it shows! I really like going there. Highly recommend.

This aquarium place is the best I’ve ever been to thus far, It’s small but when you walk in it’s amazing, the knowledge and kindness the worker is so patient and explains whatever you need answers to. He also goes beyond to anything you might need, he does not have fresh water tanks, but upon request will get you any fresh/salt water fish you would like. There is never a I can’t get that fish moment with this shop.

I have had many great experiences at Art's Underwater Reef. I found the store just after I finished cycling my first saltwater tank. I have had many freshwater tanks over the years and still do, but saltwater and reef tanks are a different level. I needed help, advice and compassion. Art is very helpful, completely compassionate and gives great advice and guidance. My reef tank is doing great. I have purchased many fish and corals from Art and use his shop as my #1 source, even though other shops are closer and bigger. Art is the most helpful owner I have worked with and he has a wonderful selection. Art even helped me nurse a sick fish back to health. I bought a Copper band butterfly from him and two weeks later brought it back near death. He had been intimidated by my tang and wasn't eating. When I walked through the shop doors I thought my fish had died on the way there. He was lying lifeless at the bottom of the bag. Art took him and nursed him back to health. I couldn't believe it when he called and said the fish was alive and doing well. Unbelievable!! I am so grateful that I found Art's shop. I am a loyal customer and plan to keep it that way for years to come!

I have nothing but good things to say about this shop. No matter how many times we go back, the experience is always a great one. Art has both the patience and knowledge to answer any question you have. He throughly explained and showed us everything necessary for what we wanted to build, and continues to do so. Must start by saying the shop is extremely clean and very well organized. Art is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The store has a great selection of corals and salt water fish, not to mention the great prices. If you’re looking to start an aquarium or already have one, this is definitely the go to store. Had an emergency with my tank and unfortunately all other stores were closed, thank God for Art's! He's actually really kool person and very knowledgeable and store has plenty of supplies. Art is a funny and easy going person, Loves to have conversations with customers and is extremely helpful with any questions you have. All his tanks in the shop are extremely clean and clear. His prices are much better than most shops out there. Highly recommend.

Recently got back into the reef aquarium hobby after taking a 10 year hiatus and am super glad I stumbled upon Art and his awesome shop! Having a local fish store that you can rely on for advice as well as carrying or even finding fish for you that you’re looking for just makes the whole reef keeping experience that much better. On top of that they’re some of the friendliest shop owners I’ve ever met, so if you’re looking to stock your tank with some cool new fish or just looking for some supplies, I highly recommend giving this shop a visit!

Walked in to buy some Maracyn 2 for my sick betta. Had a great conversation with the owner, Art. Knowledgeable guy running a great new LFS near my home. Only real LFS in Pasadena/Northern San Gabriel. Geared toward Marine hobbyists but also have some great Freshwater stuff to including bettas! Super clean shop, beautiful healthy fish, great coral, choice selection of supplies. Highly recommended! Good luck Art!

This shop is so awesome. You ask Art any question and he’ll answer it helps you with whatever you need. most of all he is so honest in what he tells you. I’m new to saltwater and didn’t know much. I was going to a different fish store and all they wanted to do is sell me stuff just to make money sold me stuff that I don’t need. You can ask art for anything, and if he doesn’t have it, he’ll get it and he works really fast in getting you the stuff you need. Got some really cool healthy fishes from Art underwater reef. I definitely recommend these guys! I stopped by over the weekend. They have a good selection of saltwater fish and corals. Everything is really organized, well maintained and it´s fresh inside. They offered me a free bottled water. Awesome! The staff did the same to everyone else entering the store. It's cool that there's a reef store in Pasadena! I bought some frozen food and some R.O water. It was cheaper than other stores I've been to. Stop by and check them out.

Art's Underwater Reef is the best! It is very clean and well organized and has a great selection of merchandise at very reasonable prices. Art, the owner, has put a lot of thought and effort into the design, set up of the tanks, and overall operation. That meticulous attention to detail sets him apart from many others. Art has a wealth of knowledge and experience that he is willing and ready to share with anyone paired with an outgoing, sincere, and cordial personality. He even offers a free cold bottle of water! Who even does that these days? If I can give 100 stars on here, I would!

Very clean and organized store. Friendly staff that care to provide the best customer service and not just take your money. They have reef aquariums within creatures Prices are fair! I purchased a few corals and creatures to start my own reef at home. All questions were answered to provide the best care for my creatures. Very convenient place to find what you need; from aquarium accessories to Beta Fish and lastly Reef Creatures. Will definitely be going back.
