It’s super fun! This is exactly the kind of bar I like and that’s why it gets 5 stars. I was there on a saturday evening. Not too crowded, easy to approach people, great live music, awesome selection of games, from pool, table tennis, fusball, board games and others. A downside is that sometimes you need to wait for a while before getting your turn to play. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. I will definitely be back here.

Definitely a new favorite bar in LA. They have ping-pong, pool, shuffleboard, darts, fooseball and a whole bunch of boardgames. The cocktails are excellent, the food simple but delicious. So much fun and a great crowd.

Came here for board games. It is not a board game place! Typical bar with loud music and not board game themed place. Also servers work too slow, I waited in the front of the line (I was first to order) for 25 mins. And then both drinks I tried to order from the menu were not available. This is just a coincidence maybe but I never had an experience like this prior to this day. Sorry but left not happy to another place nearby shortly after.

I wanted to try a new place. From the photos, I thought it would be great that it would be lively and filled with excitement. In truth, I was disappointed 😞. The front entrance was definitely cool; the colors and ambiance were intriguing, and most of the people were nice. Yet, we went on a late Thursday night, and the place was empty, lonely at times. Few were entertained, many just playing pool, no musical entertainment, and the only positive attribute was the bar area. I did find some attendees being rude, cutting the bar lines, the staff not controlling the flow well, and don't get me started on parking. You need to find a parking structure ! Come 30 min early for a parking spot. I was fortunate to get something 1 block away, and that was literally luck!. The entrance host was nice and cordial, the staff overall was great, and the decor was fine and alluring. But the food was subpar, drinks weren't potent, and the overly rude people I found were a bit too much. I rated this place a 2.75 to a 3. If there were more servers or músical entertainment venues ...possibly a higher score.

This place is the best bar and best live jass band in town. The Host Jesus is 100% awesome. The atmosphere is great. There is good food, pool table and darts. Highly recommend this place for an awesome night experience.

Fun place to hang out. Drinks are not strong and expensive. Service is slow and all done at the bar. I would go back for the pool but probably only order beer. Jazz was ok but you need to be near the stage bc acoustics are bad. Dress code is lax and crowd was chill and friendly.

This place is such a great place to go. Inside it just is super spacious. There are chairs and tables, couches, booths as options to sit at. They provide games that you can play. There is also live music. It's such a chill vibe. Like you can spend all day just relaxing and drinking with friends.

We ordered the margarita pizza and chips and guac to share. The food came out quickly and was pretty good. There wasn't anything unique about it but it was a good bite to eat. Other bartenders tended to us frequently and were super polite so I think the other bartender was an anomaly. Overall, it was a cool place and worth checking out.

I wish I had taken pictures, because this place is awesome! There are ping pong takes everywhere and a bar in the middle with a DJ playing really good music. You get carded after 9pm because it turns into a bar/lounge even though you're still aloud to play ping pong. The secret if you're younger is to show up before that because once you're in you don't get kicked out, you can just hangout by the couches, bar area, dance floor, or keep playing ping pong.

Great experience DTLA. Exclusive lower_level speakeasy feel. Live bands and nice cocktails.

Went for my boyfriend’s birthday. Had a good time! The atmosphere was fun and drinks were on point. The kitchen was closed but they allowed us to bring in our own food. Band was great! Will definitely be coming back.

I love this place. Friendly neighborhood jazz/music club. Great mix of artists, we are never bored. Always bring our out of town friends here so they can experience the true SF vibe. Not ostentatious- leave the attitude at the door.

Just discovered this place. Live music, pool, and food in addition to a full bar. Comfortable and spacious. Easy to get a table but we did go a bit early. Will come back!

Really cool place. A bunch of fun nooks and crannies to hang out in. The bartenders make great drinks too! My two notes would be: the bathrooms are in pretty bad shape. I found this a lot in DTLA. But it still always surprises me when it's at a nice place like this. Also, there's no clear order system for getting drinks other than standing at a relatively small bar for the size of the venue anyway. And there is no wait staff. It would be great if there were at least a designated area where people could not sit at the bar and it was clear that this is where you order somehow.

Great fun. That was live music and a great crowd. Would recommend for a night out with friends or on a date.

This spot started a live jazz night with a band. The ambiance was cool. Downstairs and dimly lit with a nice band doing r&b and jazz covers. The back has an area with board games and there is a small but sexy band.

Fun place with live jazz. Drinks were good. Very knowledgeable bar tenders. Games available to play with friends; pool, ping pong. Some have a charge however and were a bit steep ( $15/ hr for shuffleboard)

Such a VIBE!!! The night I went was on my birthday and the live performers were so freaking amazing. Cocktails were a bit pricey but they had a 5$ pineapple shot that was so fun!

Tasty food and cool vibe, BUT the bartender put OVER $40 worth of random peoples drinks on our tab! Check your receipt before you pay! That was NOT COOL and it took forever to try and get a second round of drinks so we left.

We had our company party here this week and it was amazing! Located in the heart of downtown L.A. in the basement level of the historic Hayward Hotel. At 5,400 sq feet, this place is spacious with a beautiful bar and lots of seating. It has a dark, jazzy vibe that takes you back in time. There's also four billiards, three ping pong tables, two shuffle board tables, two foosball tables, two sets of darts and over 25 board games! As you can see, there's lots of entertainment to go with your libations. We all had a lot of fun!

Not much actual jazz played when I went but nice drinks and wide variety of games made it a fun night. The live band was also great, albeit some sound mixing troubles, and the staff were friendly as well.

Went there for the first time this week, and had a great time. Live bands were great, drinks were great, and service was even better. Small venue that feels bigger with a spread out floor plan. Plus they has foosball!

It was my first time going out in LA and I'm so glad I stumbled upon Rhythm Room to break the ice. This bar is so beautifully decorated, I really loved the aesthetic. It had a cozy speak easy vibe, but also felt like a jazz club kinda? The owner did a great job with the decoration especially with a beautiful subway mosaic that resembles NY subways. You gotta see it for yourself

Really cool jazz bar in LA. However, on a quiet Thursday there was still a $10 cover and there was only one group playing at 930pm. Their pepper steak sandwich is pretty good but their other burgers were disappointing. Fantastic old fashioned though.
