In the hall of Seven Grand, fun hidden little speakeasy treasure. They are super knowledgeable on all things whiskey(it is a whiskey bar) and have a great selection. Me being “green” in the whiskey realm was happy with how the bartender heard my palette and found a whiskey I actually liked!!! Try em out. Go there.

One of the best whiskey bars in downtown Los Angeles because the selection is ridiculously good. The decor is very vintage with a very welcoming feel. The customer service was excellent and all the servers know their whiskeys. The patio area is excellent and you can have a cigar in the back with whiskey tasting selection. Definitely a great spot to get into when you find the right people. Hang out at Seven Grand long enough and you’ll get here.

Came here on a Tuesday night with a friend and it’s a really quirky chill environment compared to the outside Seven Grand bar! It’s reservation based and members get their own bottles so it feels exclusive! We got the mystery flight which was a fun guessing game in a way. It was also Paul’s birthday! The servers were really fun people.

Highly recommend this place for a nice whiskey drink. Classy speakeasy vibe. Recommend reservations, inside tables are limited

Super dope and hidden bar. Went with a good friend of mine and we felt like big timers. He ordered a whiskey from Ireland and I ordered one from Japan and the server was very knowledgeable on everything!

Outstanding service! You will have an awesome experience and it doesn’t matter if you know everything about whiskey or nothing at all. The ambiance is dark, candle lit, comfortable and intimate. The staff are very kind and extremely knowledgeable. Just ring the door bell upstairs in the hall of Seven Grand.

Had a couple of whiskeys at reasonal price. Atmosphere is very comfortable and I wish they could serve some small dishes or nuts.

Absolutely outstanding experience 👏 My husband and I came here to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. Both Haley and Peter made the experience so amazing. We did a couple of blind tasting flights (both of us love whiskey) so we had a lot of fun guessing components of each glass and had some laughs in between. I am so glad we found this place. Thank you for a great night!

I was so excited to come here as my husband and I are big whiskey drinkers. I ordered a 2 oz pour of a nikka yoichi single malt which was $45. The server told us the 10 year would be $65, only $20 more (word for word by the server, Peter Ha). I enjoyed the single malt and took Peter's advice and tried a 2oz of the nikka yoichi 10 year. When the bill came, the price was $195 for 2oz of Nikka yoichi 10 yr. Over 3 times a the amount we were told. After receiving the bill, Peter told us $65 was the amount for a 2/3 oz, which was not disclosed initially. We felt scammed and duped. We paid the ridiculous bill and left. This place should learn how to do business. We will never come back.

Private and low key whisky bar that allows you to buy and store a bottle there. Also sells cigars.

Came here on a busy night for the outside bar. First timers, group of 3, not experienced. Felt welcomed, no pretentious vibes. Did the blind test. I like that all our initial questions were answered and also we got asked some questions regarding preferences and they taken into consideration to come up our tasting menu. Then we were left alone to enjoy our tasting. They would check in with us, but leave us alone. (In a good way). We bought a bottle of our top choice and stored it there.

Much like other reviews here, this was a place I was really looking forward to visiting. The welcome was luke warm and had to stand in a line to get in through a small door. We were sat in the outdoor area and after reading through the whisky menu, it was apparent that these were all drams you can buy at the liquor store down the street, but there you get the full bottle for what two-thirds of an ounce here costs. We got a couple cocktails and a bourbon, which I asked to split between two people, but they told me they were out of tasting glasses and poured it into a water glass…Just a lack of attention all around. The selection is ok if you’re someone new to whisky, but the prices here will turn off anyone starting out in whisky - this isn’t what it’s all about.

This place has pretentious bartenders who criticized our drink orders and barely paid any attention to our party (they were too busy firing back shots with random people). We sat at the bar for over an hour and they only came over once. Way too overrated and not worth it.

We had a very delightful night. Casey the Manager is very personable and attentive. Looking forward to the comeback of the record player !

Fantastic cocktails and wines. Staff is super chill and nice. The only negative thing is that it's quite loud in there. And you can tell they attempted to try to alleviate that with the sound proofing devices on the ceiling, but needs some work.

This place is always a blast! One of the best tiki bars in Los Angeles. The atmosphere is spot on and the drinks are delicious. They do not have food, but you can order Grub Hub delivered here and they're ok with it. Little Tony's pizza is a block down and their pizza is amazing! I usually order from there over the phone, have a few more sips, then go pick it up. As long as you have a table you're all set. ;)

Such a good time always first class and they do a great job! Friendly staff really great cocktails always consistent. So many places make fancy cocktails but many times they're not consistent. I have a great video of the bartender making a marshmallow drink but I don't know how to post a video I'll try soon :-) Don't miss out on the great Bar Jackalope No!

Sooooo many whiskeys. It's like Christmas (if you believe in that). Staff is friendly and provides great recommendations. A great place to taste bottles to find that next bottle for your home bar. Highly recommended. Mmmmm booze...

If it's the bar I'm thinking of (Id had a few), then it's a world class whiskey den with a busy, pub like front bar. Had some excellent stuff in their backroom and the whiskey sours were divine. The bar stuff are very knowledgeable and it's a lot of fun talking shop with them if you know a little about whiskeys. Only gripe? Guys put some smelly cheese on the menu it goes great with a lot of scotches.

Really cool place. Would be nice if people could talk quietly amongst themselves. Go to the buffalo wild wings if you want to be loud. There, it's expected

Easily one of my favorite speak easy in LA. It's hidden inside the Seven Grand. You would need to get reservations if you're planning to come here during the weekend. It can get pretty busy. But if you're free during the weekdays, getting in would be a lot easier. This place specifically does whisky. No cocktails of any. The bartenders inside are very knowledgable in their whisky and can help pick out one for you according to your taste. I was lucky to get in because of the gentlemen i was with knew the bartender that worked there. However, i have gone back several times, and they have seated me each time. I guess it's good luck. It also helps if you buy a bottle here. Helps you get seated if you leave a bottle here. The atmosphere is super moody and cozy. Try bringing a date that knows their alcohol or a friend to play catch up.

I love going to this place. It's hard to say there is a nice restaurant in that building, I had passed by this place many times, and never crossed my mind to try it out. Until one of my friends took me there and since then I have been going regularly. Great salads and meat selections. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite bar in Los Angeles. I'm not ashamed to admit that i've been to several bars (actually... many, many bars) and this is the bar that I consistently have an outstanding time at. Maybe it's the great prices. Maybe it's the fantastic staff. Maybe it's the amazing tunes. Or maybe... it's the magic that this little bar is imbued with inside and out. Let your hair down, the water is fine!
