Having worked in the service industry and hospitality for a decade, this was the coldest and most unwelcoming hospitality experience I’ve ever had. Keep your head on a swivel because ownership might tear it off before you can get a word in. Not sure who hurt him, but I hope one day the owner can find empathy for folks with chronic health disabilities…not to mention the legal considerations…

Authentic fish and chips, and their blackened salmon was delicious. Their food is reasonably priced and consistently good. They have a wide variety of craft beers on tap, as well as generously sized cocktails. They have expanded their outdoor patio, and it's dog friendly. A great place to hang out.

Love this Pub! They have amazing Guiness! Also I can recommend a sweet potato fries! Yummy! Great place to start your Friday night!

We were here on a Saturday night at 7. Not crowded. We sat outside on the back patio. Very nice & quiet. Sports on the TV's inside. A good place to meet with friends - watch a game or chat. Good pour for the Guiness.

Smithwick's Red Ale was spot on. We sat in the beer garden, which is quite large. I'll have to try the food next time. Service is friendly and quick.

Came to Santa Monica and wanted to watch UFC 279. This place is awesome, they had no cover for the event and its not too expensive and the bar itself is stylish. Lets not forget about the Conor mural outside, if your a mma fan and even a mcgregor hater, you cant deny its beautiful. Burger is called the All American.

Great pub! Food, booze and service were all wonderful! We were travelling through Santa Monica and I craved a good Irish lager - then found O'Brien's. Great find! The beer and drink selection is outstanding, and all the food we ordered were great! The staff was very friendly and did the right amount of leaving us alone and asking if we wanted anything. We'd go back again the next time we're in Santa Monica! PS - they wore masks and tables were socially distanced, so no worries there!

This is a great bar in many ways. The bartender and owner both were lovely people who really felt like real people having real moments. Compared to a lot of other bars where you are treated like a customer, this place feels neighborhoodly even though it is in west LA. The Guinness tap is incredible, perfectly carbonated, just the right temp and poured perfectly. The bar patrons were friendly and I felt like me and them were in an atmosphere where we could all talk to another. 10/10

One of the best bars in Santa Monica! With some of kindest staff, the atmosphere of O’Briens is incredible. We regularly come here for trivia nights and have started coming on the weekends for drinks. There’s always a game on a TV somewhere in the bar and the crowds vary depending on the event or game, but you can also find casual evenings on some weekdays to sit and chat with regular patrons and staff.

Love this place. Willy and James are the best. Just a laid back local pub with exactly the vibe I’m looking for in a drinking establishment. Not too fancy, not too divey. And they have smithwicks on draft, which is all you should need to know.

O,Brien,s is not a typical Irish bar. It's FAR better. Home to NY Giants, and Man Utd fan club's also showing many international sporting events. Such as the Rugby world cup. Willy the owner runs a very efficient crew with always plenty of "Craic" going around. Your almost guaranteed a great time at this place.

The food experience was realllly good!! We like to try different cuisines and this was an awesome Irish breakfast place and sports bar. We had the Irish breakfast, Croissants sandwich with coffee:) But the only negative we found was when the billing was done, the prices did not match the menu prices. On letting the server know that the prices were incorrect, he mentioned that the prices were increased for St. Patricks and they forgot to get it back to normal prices (we went to this place after St paddys). Even after that he just reduced the bill by $6 which was for just one of the items we ordered. The rest he kept it as is (it was supposed to be $12 less), but we let it go. Had to post that part since that was not good on service and so we give 4 stars for the experience.

The service was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and always available when I had a question or needed assistance. They anticipated my needs without being intrusive, creating a seamless and enjoyable experience. What truly set this place apart was its remarkable atmosphere. The ambiance was inviting and soothing, creating a perfect backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment. Willie is the best!

This place has all the classic Irish beers you need, friendly staff and surprisingly great food. I really enjoy their full Irish breakfast, any time of the day. My favorite part of the breakfast plate is the sausages, including a black sausage that has the deep savory flavor of good black sausage without too much of the strong minerally taste that a lot of people don't like. The breakfast plate comes with the right amount of everything to balance the meal and fill you up. Everything else I've got there has also been great. There's a nice covered outdoor section to sit too.

Tourists Beware! I think there is a flexible pricing system in operation. No prices on the menu and then the most expensive drinks we’ve had on this trip $10 for not even a pint of Guinness and $40 for a bottle of house white wine, we were here last September and much more reasonable prices. Food average to good.

Love this place. It has everything one looks for in a pub. Great drinks, tasty menu, sports, music. Add in the fun crowd and unbelievable staff... I'm hooked!!!

The best pub ever!! Willy and his staff are the absolute best. I was meeting a group of people for the first time and he made sure that everything was taken care of from the menu, tables, and guest greeting! I you are looking for a pub where you are treated more like family and not just a customer, this is the pub for you!!! Awesome experience!!

An authentic Irish pub with an Irish proprietor, Great bar food at a reasonable price , fun place to watch the game.

A neighborhood bar in the big city, where they know your name. Shepherd's pie is A-plus, and the pours are healthy and fresh. I have heard people make the mistake of complaining about a $9 pint. Ruh roh. Number one, that's the going rate for pints in Santa Monica. Two, Willie will patiently break it down for you, why costs are what they are. If you don't want to drink by yourself in your little crib, then you need to go somewhere pleasant, homey, and where the owner takes care of the staff, every bite and drink is good, and you can chill and watch a game or whatever is on TV. That all costs money. Don't worry about it.

The most helpful staff. My friend wasn’t sure what beer she want, so they brought 3 samples to the table. Burgers were great. This was our second visit.

Very awesome bar which has a small town neighborhood feel. The bartenders get to know you and there definitely are a lot of regulars. One of the better places to get a drink in the area and really worth coming to!

This quickly became one of my favorite spots. This is my husband's favorite spot since it's a Giants bar, it would be kind too but I'm a Cowboys fan. Aside from that, the owner is amazing, the staff is great, and the beer is always cold. What else do you need?

The bartenders here are top notch!! Nicest, coolest crew I have ever met. Our friends were getting married and they rented out the back patio so everyone could get together the day before the wedding. It was a great place to have a bunch of people meet and hang out. Again, I cannot stress the amazingness of these bartenders!! We had an amazing night, with stories for life!!

My first ever Irish pub. Loved it. Great customer service from what I believe is the owner. Welcoming and they make you feel good being there. Attentive bartender. Will definitely will be back. Also they know how to pick a beer of your liking. I recommend you try something new

My favorite local Irish pub,,good food and drink.. Had a black and tan with my son and he had fish and chips.. Batter was a bit too thick (made it mushy) but taste great,,I had the Cajun chicken sandwich was really good too. Good bangers and mash, all around an enjoyable experience with good friendly attentive staff. I recommend it..

This has been my favourite bar for a long time! We watch all of our sporting events here. The owner and his team are phenomenal and the food is delicious. It’s clean. Bright. Fun. Best bar in town!

Pretty solid Irish style pub but it cost $2 to sub out fries for a salad. Like, really? Aren't salads *less* work? And salad material is cheap! I got the chicken sandwich which was fine. My brother got the Irish Breakfast which looked amazing and he really enjoyed it but I was trying to be healthy. Outdoor patio in the back has lots of space, so good for social distancing.

O’Briens Pub is one of the most inclusive and intriguing bars I’ve been to in L.A. I first came in a couple of weeks before the Euro finals, and was shocked by the amazing atmosphere O’Briens had to offer. The waiting staff are all amazing and I have had countless of great conversations with the bartenders: James and Brad. If you want a place that can feel like your home away from homes, look no further, you’ve found it.

Got here about 5 minutes before the 3rd Fury vs Wilder Fight with a party of 7. At first they didn’t think they could accommodate us. Luckily they were able to set us up on a bartop outside. $10 cover for the fight was a great deal. Fish and Chips were amazing. Can’t wait to stop by again.

Came for a morning watch party for my team that an alum organized, had a homemade bagel with me as I was running late. Immediately ordered a few beers and had my wrapped bagel sitting on the outside table. Irish waiter came by and legit yelled at me for having a bagel there. Legit just put in a $30 plus order. Completely understand if they don't want any outdoor food but yelling at a paying customer for a bagel is absurd. Yea. never coming there again.
