A fun place to place all sorts of video games, have a drink, and eat the most incredible food of your life. The menu is so adventurous and it really pays off. So many unique takes on classics such as the Thai Caesar salad, which was somehow both light, fresh, and savory. The real champ was the chicken gizzard pasta. The flavor and texture was like an elevated chorizo, and paired with the fresh pasta and green onion was *chef's kiss*. The service was impeccable. In such a casual setting, I felt like I was having dinner in a fine dining establishment. Would definitely come again.

Definitely a fun stop in the area, we only popped in for a few drinks and a few games but it was a good time. Finally scratched that skee-ball itch!! That can be a weirdly difficult game to find, so thanks Button Mash😂👊

Button Mash is a blast! I wish I had visited them sooner! I love this concept! I've been to a few arcade bars before, but this place is by far my favorite! There's a whole dining area with plenty of delicious food options that you can order, as well as a bar where you can get beer or wine and tokens for the arcade games. We tried some of the Vietnamese rolls and some fries when we went one time and they were absolutely incredible. I LOVED the rolls! The sauce was perfect, the crunchiness of them was just right! I thought it was amazing! I also love all of the arcade games that they have here. There's little tables between them to place your drinks down on, and they have plenty of different options to choose from - pinball, PacMan, shooters and racing games. The prices are all reasonable and the fun that you can have is nearly limitless! I had a blast the two times that I have come now and I will definitely be looking forward to coming again.

The tortillas de maíz are delicious. We shared some combos and every entree and salsa is delectable. Pinball machines and classic arcade machines can be found here. #RadMusic As of the time of this review, the air hockey is one of the smoothest I've used in a while. Stared at the wallpaper often. Boom. 5 stars.

I intentionally went early to avoid the night life scene, so I can't comment on that. I was in it for the FOOD. The bartender recommended the burger because he said they just won best burger from someone. I tried the burger but I thought it was just okay. The burger at Lowboy is better. I also tried the brussel sprouts and the garlic noodles. Both of those were really good and way better than the burger. The beer selection was also pretty good. I would definitely go back here.

This highlights Poltergeist at Button Mash. To preface, they absolutely do not allow anyone under the age of 21 to enter past 9 PM as they turn into a bar, even with a reservation so please follow their rules. The food was offered through a series of set courses. To begin, the roll was extremely flavorful and almost melted in the mouth. The beef ravioli and the octopus were also excellent and unique dishes. As for the game hen, there were a lot of bones and it was hard to get much meat but the overall experience was great. The vibes were very modern and almost hippie, and there were pinball games to play around us. Highly recommend if you want to try some upscale food in Los Angeles that comes with a fun experience with every dish they serve.

friendly staff, great food & drinks. we love being able to bring our toddler here during less-busy times and have a beer & snack. They have step stools which are great for her to step up and play the whack-a-mole game.

This place is awesome! Great classic video games, pinball, and more. Quarter a play like the good ol' days. Good beer, great salsa and food. Came by after a Dodger game and stayed for quite a while. Good times!

Food was pretty good- the cauliflower, burger, and fries surprised me. It’s a bit loud in there though cause of all the games, so if you’re there to just chill and talk then this might not be the place for you. But it was a nice stop before going to the dodgers stadium for black pink!

Not going to lie, "Time Crisis II" is mainly why I come here. This arcade is one of the closer ones for me that has this game. There is an amazing restaurant at this place as well. The bar only serves beer, but that's fine with me. Staff is super friendly and willing to reimburse you for any machines that eat up your tokens. Some arcade games were out of order last time I went, but what do you expect when it comes to old machines? Parking can be pretty tough in this area, but that's to be expected in LA and you can eventually find some with the side streets in proximity to the venue.

I miss their old menu! Especially the garlic noodles, but their new menu is good too. GF corn tacos and they have vegan and vegetarian options as well. For those who love soju please try their canned soju fizzy drink. I wish I could remember what it's called but it's SO good. Amazing place for games/groups. The air hockey and basketball games area was my favorite part. Feels secluded and has a night club feel due to the lights.

Pretty cool concept, with Asian fusion dishes, classic arcade game and craft beers, wines and ciders. We tried the Cheese Corn, which was pretty good for a spin on Mexican elote, and we also tried the brick bread dessert, which was delicious! We had a few ciders and beers, but my favorite was the coffee in a can with the side of milk they served me. Personally, I feel the "Pwn Shop" attached to the arcade bar is a waste of space, because it's not a pawn shop, more of a novelty shop and truly would have been better as a space for pool tables, dart boards and air hockey tables. Hopefully they change that, it also seems like it would be a more consistent money maker, but who knows.

A gastronomical journey. We were all eating with big smiles in our faces. It felt like going on an adventure of flavors. It was delicious and so much fun (and I’m not even talking about the arcade, though that was amazing too!). Can’t wait to come back and try all the menu options. Favorites of the night: Octopus Burrata and Prawns. Also, I want to highlight how amazing the staff were. I had a problem with my reservation and they were determined to figure it out and get us a table.

Cool place, definitely a place to go with friends. Has some at arcade machines and bar. Note:we were carded on Friday night. Food was good but not a lot of variety, and the wings and garlic noodles had a strong taste in my opinion.

Went here for the first time with a couple friends and it was super fun! I love that they have such a large selection of hard ciders! My fav! I tried the blackberry one and it was very good. 4% alcohol I believe. Kinda expensive tho. They have a bunch of different old school arcade games, some physical games (ie shoot hoops), and also these really cool pinball machines. I believe some of the games are free which is always nice. But for most of them, they accept quarters and you can exchange $ for quarters that they give you in this handy little container with a screw on top. Also have machines you can get the quarters from yourself. Most of the games are decently priced tho some can be kinda expensive esp if you’re playing multi player. Overall a rly fun place that wasn’t too crowded or loud (tho sometimes the music randomly went rly loud for no reason), with a laid back vibe. Great first date location imo!

The food was excellent, all of it. We started with the honey walnut prawns, which were fantastic, and we didn’t leave a trace of them. After that, we had the octopus burrata, which was mind-blowing. Everything was super fresh. Finally, we had that day's special, duck legs, and I believe that was the yummiest duck I have ever had 😄. Shout-out to our server, Victoria. She was super sweet and extremely attentive to our needs.

We had only dined at Poltergeist once before. The food was good, and the service was good. Our only issue was that they served our child's food way after ours, which was a big no-no. But they apologized, and it was fine. So, I was a fan until our second visit. According to our waiter, we could not make any adjustments to our order; we could not even order more food after our initial order. Which we were initially okay with until we found hair in our food, and I wanted to vomit. Based on the order restrictions, one would think we were dining at a Michelin Star restaurant. However, you do not find hair in your food at a Michelin Star restaurant. Because our kid loves playing video games, we will probably return and only have drinks. It was a lot of money for just a headache. Very Disappointing.

What a perfect place to hang out with friends. Great service, awesome food and friendly staff. You can grab a bite to eat and play pinball or crazy taxi or time crisis or burger time or etc. I recommend the smash burger from the bar or the ravioli which slaps!!!!! Anyways, I highly recommend. I was there tonight and I will definitely go again.

It's a nice place to go if you want to play some old school video games and some pinball machines. Some of the food choices are a little on bougie side.....(they seem to be trying a little too hard for their hipster crowd.....) if you come there for some regular food you might be surprised. I wanted a hamburger and that's exactly what I got I hamburger. The drinks come in a bottle depending on what you like it's not the best, I guess it's easy for them. You can buy tokens at the counter when you're getting your food which is a good thing. We also ordered some egg noodles and it's exactly what we got some egg noodles. not very much going into the food. They had a couple of different sections so it's interesting. they had a basketball game.. and the bowling game like they have at the Santa Monica Pier which would be fun with the kids. A nice array of pinball machines which I was there for was good. Parking kind of tight but you can make the best of it. Sketchy East Hollywood neighborhood but if you're from Los Angeles you're used to that. Other than that a decent experience I will come back but maybe I'll eat first...lol

The only BEERcade bar worth speaking of to me in LA. It's the best. Always fun for family, friends or a solo gaming mission. And the aesthetic is chef's kiss.

Great hangout spot for friends. Love all the arcade games, pinball machines, basketball court and air hockey table. It’s such a chill spot and brings you back to the good old days. Didn’t try the food so looking forward to going again and trying their menu.

We had the roll, coconut curry, and carrot cake, and all were so delicious. The roll has the most unique flavor, while it was good it also had flavor combos that I've never had. Was fun to try all of them and we finished it all. Photo is the carrot cake.

Great place to get a beer and play some games. I didn't actually play games here though but it was a nice casual atmosphere :) Enjoyed the stone fruit sour beer here!

Its appalling how negligent management is at this place, that will lie and argue about them stealing from paying customers even if you have solid proof. its common knowledge that reliable banks will inform you on a fraudulent suspicion from a specific charge from the only location you made a transaction at that night, why wouldn't i know what i spent? furthermore if want to support an actual non gentrified small business with professional hospitality skills then check out "barcade" in highland park because this place is NOT worth your money.
