I appreciated all the service workers here doing their best to provide a fun and safe environment. Bring your best attitude and tip generously for the hard working folk.

Location temporarily moved to the parking lot upstairs! Fuga izakaya will change to teppanyaki in case you wonder why there is a permanently closed sign at the store. The food used to taste better and was more creative/diverse! We liked the Shishito pepper, garlic fries, A5 wagyu steak, and ribeye steak. Pretty chill ambience, which is different than what it used to be.

This restaurant can cook. Their dishes are very inventive and they taste delicious. We had uni pasta, fried chicken wings, special shrimps, mussels and beef tongue with croutons. They also have happy hour from 5pm-7pm. It’s worth a visit.

Awesome restaurant that we ended up eating at by mistake, but I'm glad we did! The customer service was in the middle, wasn't bad, but wasn't great. We waited for about 10 minutes until someone noticed us. However, the rest of our night was fantastic. The food was amazing and the drinks were so good. Everything had so much flavor and at such a reasonable price. Please note when it says "spicy," you can bet it's going to be spicy!

Everything was incredibly delicious. I would give it 10/10 stars if I could. I wish OC had amazing Japanese food like this. Love love love this place. Try the grilled beef tongue! Great Japanese whiskey here as well.

Such a hidden gem. It's underground but has plenty of space. The highlights were the cheese risotto she the yellowtail collar!

Great happy hour, very lowkey, at least at around 3pm when I went. Menu has a lot of options, beer is affordable as well as the appetizers. Definitely coming back.

Have been here three times now for lunch. Always a positive experience. The first two times I ordered the rib eye steak lunch. This last time I went I asked for the Fuga-Bento box. I was not disappointed. The Fuga-Bento box comes with rice, miso soup, salad, and sashimi. There are four slices of the sashimi included: Tuna, salmon, albacore, and shrimp. There are two choices to include in the box. First options: salmon teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, fire cracker tempura shrimp, chicken karaage, ginger sauteed chicken, or rib eye steak(one dollar more). The second option: shrimp and vegetable tempura, California roll, or spicy tuna roll. In my pictures I decided to go with the rib eye steak and spicy tuna roll. Since this is a Japanese restaurant I complemented this meal with Sapporo. I finished my meal with a Yamazaki 12 yr whisky. Smooth. Almost tasted a hint of vanilla in it. The bartender knew her drinks and was surprised I asked about it. Overall a good, enjoyable experience. Thank you.

The restaurant is located at the bottom of the stairs, it looks shady from the outside, but once you go inside you will see the great ambiance of the place, dim lighting, nice music, just overall nice setting. The food is superb! You can taste the quality of the fish used for the sashimi and rolls. My friend loved the ceviche roll. The sashimi platter was delicious. The service staff was friendly and very attentive. The prices are fair for the excellent quality of food. Good place for a date due to the ambiance of the place. You won't regret coming here.

I really enjoyed the food, had the seafood ceviche delicious a must try. But the service was lacking, to be fair I was there an hr before closing so perhaps the staff was ready to head home. So I will try again at another time because that ceviche was that good.
