Was hired to investigate the owner and her backgrounds did not disappoint. The way she stays in business is by keeping the property as dingy as possible without being shut down and then ripping off everyone who stays there by having a false price posted online and refusing refunds even when legally applicable. Don't stay here unless you don't mind infestations in your luggage

Wow, this place is the dirtiest place I have ever been. It is unbelievable!!!! Everything (bed, chairs, even TV and walls etc) was dirty and disgusting. They had put a bag on the shower so in fact no shower!!!! I dont think they clean that place at all. I wont spend my money in this place anymore. Sleeping in the street will be much cleaner and much more comfortable than this place. Even one star is A LOT for this place…

Completely infested with roaches. Had a black widow in my room. Would not give a refund even though we checked out before 1:00 a.m. . Was a very rude woman who exploited this disabled woman and her veteran boyfriend

Very rude staff. The place inside was disgusting and very dirty. It smelled so bad in our room. The bath tub was very moldy, the floor was so sticky and the bed was disgusting. Also there was no batteries in the smoke detector which is illegal. I would like a full refund please or will be doing a chargeback on my credit card.

Awful simply awful. Not only you suffer in those old dirty rooms you have to pay deposit as well as taking your device to the office to put the wifi password for you which is a pain in neck.

I always ask for a tub room. This room had a tub but the only way was showering because water didn't come out except from shower head and it was clogged so she had me change it out...I don't like unless tub!

Terribly terrible. They come beat on your door, in the morning, just to tell you that you have an hour left before checkout 😖 They give lil and charge the same as Econolodge & such 🤯

Management is biased they gave me a room full of bugs, they over charged me, when I told her I did the booking through price-line but she was in denial and didn't want to search look for my booking, so I've paid using my card.

My room was tiny. One bed, one small fridge one small microwave and one small TV all the way up to the ceiling. That is all this room had. No nightstand no lamp no headboard no chair no table one little small trash can and the TV picture was very low quality. Not HD. Stayed 5 days and only had maid service one day. Not by choice.

Clean rooms, hospitality was great , the location is excellent the beach is literally down the road maybe a half mile. Theirs a convenience store across the street, a laundry Matt next door a gas station, and a chicken restaurant across the street. It’s a gated complex with security cameras only one entrance and exit.

This place was so nasty… they have bed bugs. I wished I had taken pictures. My boyfriend insisted I not write a review on it, but I had no choice. I wanted other people to know.

The lady at the front desk needs to learn how to talk to people. The unnecessary attitude that she was giving my brother was just too much. I had to stop that immediately! Other than that I wouldn't recommend staying here if you feel like you're going to get into an argument. Just find somewhere else to go.

My stay here for 2 weeks in 2016 was great. I enjoyed my stay here without interruptions. I felt safe and had total privacy. Communication with management is great because they are straightforward. I also enjoyed taking care of my space here. Making sure to clean up after myself. Exchanging out linens and even asking permission for access to housekeeping essentials like mop and broom to tidy up during my stay was very helpful. I plan on staying here again because of great value, privacy and easy access to bus lines.

It was Disgusting. There are no end tables so it's just a bed in the middle of the room. The Rooms were Dirty. As Evening approached...I started noticing Both Roaches and Bed Bugs Scurrying Across the Floor. Hands Down the Grossest and Most Infested Place Ive ever Slept. The people at the window counter weren't friendly or helpful either.

Hooligans and thieves. Black mold and cok roaches. They come to the door at 11:10 after being told at 11:05 that the $25 we need to complete the $83 payment is in a Lyft only 5 minutes away, which it literally was. She yells and screams something… to get teh hell off her property (our stay had been problem free and quiet mind you), and at 11:10 she shows up with a goon with a gun. Threatening physical violence, barging in the room, driving me out and then a second guy comes in and pulls a gun out on tony, my partner. He’s rushed out the door, adn of course they profit by denying that my iPhone SE is in there. We see it clearly on the screen and when asked later, we are again threatened with out lives and driven off the site, being told lies that they dont have it when findmy app clearly places it, charging, in their office. Of course police dont care, and she gets to keep the phone. I reiterate…. We did NOTHING to gain her wrath or disgust other than simply existing. *If this place burns to the ground, Long Beach will be a happier, more welcoming city by far. Shame on them.. SHAME on you, “Monterey Motel” for you’re disgusting and shameless scare tactics, unwarranted manufactured belligerence and unlawful use of firearms and physical threats to steal valuable property for your own gain. I will copy and past this review where ever you leave the gall to list yourselves.

This place is the worst place to stay in, the rooms are over priced, they are also infested with bugs and roaches, and the rooms are super dirty 🤮 the staff are also very disrespectful.
