The food is delicious with generous portions. Best thing on the menu is the California burrito. It’s huge and packed with fries, meat, salsa, avocado cream and cheese.

I ordered the beef flauta plate, super nachos, and burrito cargado. When I choose the beef option for the flautas, I thought I would get shredded beef. Instead it was ground beef, they should write that on the description. The flautas were fresh & crunchy, which I did love! For the super nachos, I asked if they could substitute the chips for fries. Which they did! I was happy about that. I got it with the carne asada, I wasn't a huge fan of the taste. It was salty and too lemony. But I did love the toppings, it was a huge portion too! Enough to share! Perfect. The burrito was DELICIOUS! Only downside was that it had no beans, I thought it was suppose to come with black beans. I could be wrong though. The protein option I went with was Al pastor, super delicious too! For the price of the burrito, I expect everything that is in the description to be inside the burrito.

My first time here. Small mom and pop joint. Clean fast friendly service. I got the California burrito, it was big and very tasty. Compared to a Sandiego taco shop, I would say they had more authentic Mexican seasonings going on that gave it some rich and complex flavors. I would definitely get it again.

Accidentally stumbled upon this place after making a u-turn and I am so happy to have found it. Ordered the Oaxaca burrito ( veggies) with a cucumber water and I can say I have been reborn 😛💗 Clean atmosphere, excellent customer service and good tunes 🎵 👍🏽👍🏽

My girlfriend and I came to Santa Monica for the day, and we were looking for something a little more off the beaten path. Especially as you get close to the pier, things are very touristy and can get a lot more expensive as a result. Somo’s Oaxaca piqued our interest when we saw it just a short walk away from the pier and had reasonable prices. The food ended up being very good and I’m glad we went. While I wouldn’t call it a hole in the wall, Somo’s Oaxaca is also not upscale, so feel free to walk in as you are.

I came here for the first time. I ordered the carne asada torta with an horchata. The torta was delicious. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion, beans, aguacate, and the famous Oaxaca cheese 😋 so good. The horchata wasn't that great. It was a little too watery. I'm sure they can make it better. I was also disappointed that they didn't have a restroom for customers so you can't wash your hands before you eat. They have tables and chairs for you to eat and drink but you can't use the restroom if you have to go! Very disappointing.

This is like a fast food place so atmosphere wise is basic. It is in a strip mall so there is parking. The workers are nice and the food is good. We had a burrito and it was a good size. It will fill you for lunch. We also had the enchiladas with mole. There were 3 and came with white rice. Not a lot of food but very tasty. Our total for the 2 dishes came to $40 that included a 15% tip. I say we got value for the burrito but could do better with the enchiladas.

Amazing and authentic Oaxacan food. Reasonable prices and great service, highly, highly recommend - the chicken mole is amazing!
