The Comedy and Magic Club is a great place to enjoy some stand up comedy, delicious food, and have a good time with friends and family. Doors opened at 5pm for a 7pm show and we got there at 5:30. Most of the center tables and all of the stage seats were taken by that time. Highly suggest getting there before 6pm. We shared some small plates. The pretzel was fantastic, as were the brussel sprouts and lemon cake. Drinks were okay. Some shows sell out ahead of time, but you can sometimes get lucky the day of an event and get placed on a wait-list. I would suggest buying tickets though. Parking is tough in Hermosa. If you don't get there early enough to get roof parking, you'll have to find a meter spot or the parking garage next to the pier.

I visited this place tonight to watch a comedy stand-up by JR De Guzman. The place looks unassuming from the outside, but the atmosphere and ambiance of the place inside are extraordinarily welcoming and amiable brought about by the vibrant and warm vibes of the crew members and staff in addition to the civilized and accepting attitudes of the crowd. I had a blast overall. And by the way, the service and the food are stellar.

Great little place. Near the beach. Great atmosphere and drinks were great, service was good and I had the largest pretzel ever!!

Both times we went the comedy acts were awesome. The server gave us both food with no utensils and came back 20 min later so that wasn't great but stuff happens. Don't get the pretzel not a winner. Best place to park is in the structure that has the starbucks north of pier ave.

A local gem in Hermosa Beach, perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic date night. They always have a great line up of talent. We saw Paul Reiser. Great set! Hilarious. The seating is first come, so arrive to stand in line around 6:30 to get a spot near the stage. The owner limits the amount of alcohol served, which ended up being a little odd because we had cocktails not counting them and when the steaks arrived I wanted to order a bottle of wine but that would equal 4 glasses and I was only allowed 3 more drinks, this is the first time I've ever encountered a restaurant not wanting to sell me a bottle of wine. I mean I would have bought a nice bottle of wine? I took an Uber and we sat there before the show for hours?(Next time I'll bring a flask! Lol) The steak was delicious and they have big portions. The service was prompt but as soon as the show starts you will not see your waitress again. What else? They have separate bathrooms for men and women. Parking is terrible in Hermosa Beach but worth going out there. Have a fun time. I highly recommend going to the comedy of magic club. The location is very close to the Hermosa pier nightlife and it's a staple. It's a vintage iconic staple. Go get some tickets and enjoy the show!

Love this place. Met so many celebs over the years. Three drink max makes for a clean safe show.
