I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Palm in downtown Los Angeles. We ordered a bit of everything, so I'll just talk about what I liked the most. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was very tender. We ordered a few of the sauces and while they were pricey vs the amount, the chimichurri and peppercorn are worth adding.... The au gratin was my favorite side dish, it was creamy and flavorful, wish we ordered two servings honestly. Lastly the dessert and the key lime pie hit the spot but being full from the dinner, we had it to go. Overall, I had a great experience at The Palm and would definitely recommend it to others! Worth it especially for special occasions.

We love dining at the Palm before Lakers games. It is the best steakhouse in downtown Los Angeles in my opinion. The side dishes are excellent too. My favorites include Potato’s Au Gratin and Lobster Mac and Cheese. They make excellent cocktails too and have an extensive wine selection to go with your meal. Sometimes I have had too much meat for the week and I switch it up to their seafood selection which is also excellent. The staff are friendly and on top of it. We make sure to give ourselves plenty of time so we are not rushed during our dining experience and make it to tip-off always.

Best steakhouse I’ve had in a long time! Coming from Texas this was 10/10. Got the surf and turf. I usually always eat seafood but I wanted to try some steak! Great customer service as well! Definitely recommend

Amazing place to go when visiting the downtown LA area. Decided to get the center cut fillet and couldn’t be happier. I got the 8 ounce one instead of the bigger one with a side of mushrooms and mashed potatoes and it was the perfect portion for me to eat. The mushrooms were seasoned perfectly and complemented the main course well. Careful with the drinks as they were stronger than I anticipated. Parking can be a bit tricky especially if it’s a busy night.

The palm was really nice place to have a nice steak. Mashed potatoes were overly garlic but then again our (many times too familiar) server reiterated they were garlic mashed potatoes. Food was delicious service was a little uncomfortable. Ambiance was very nice with high ceilings.

There restaurant no valet and the closest parking is 5 minutes away walking and costs $40. Most upscale restaurants provide valet services and even validate parking. No wonder the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. To add to this cold welcome, the food was mediocre and overpriced. Their Tuna poke had a pungent smell and the chips that came with it were stale. Our total bill was $274 for two people (not including parking and tip). Morton’s is a much better restaurant with better service and food. So sad to see a historic and reputable LA restaurant so run down. Ripoff, avoid.

The menu was limited. The mashed potatoes were cold! The broccoli Raab was disgusting!! Our waiter admitted most people hate it!!! So, why is it on the menu???!!! The chimichurri sauce saved the lamb chops!!! It's over priced. I don't mind paying for food but when I do pay 🤑🤑🤑, I wanna be 🥳😲🤤😋 AMAZED! It failed... I loved the ambiance!!!!

Our first time here and we are impressed. We heard so much about this restaurant so we decided to try it out. Not disappointed one bit. Service is exceptional and the food was prepared perfectly. The giant lobster was done to perfection, the meat soft and sweet. The salad fresh and crispy. The bread was fresh baked. I highly recommend The Palm Downtown Los Angeles for a great evening out.

Absolutely one of the best steaks ever. Service was slow but that's the way it is everywhere. Was not impressed by the mushrooms or the Brussel Sprout, lobster was not tender. Somewhat tough, shrimp cocktail and deserts were good

Service was great, they really did try to keep us pleased. I'll be factual: 6lb lobster was perfectly cooked, well worth it. The 8lb lobster was huge, so huge in fact some parts in the classes didn't fully cook. Also sure to the size, our helper really struggled to crack the shell. So much so that she left a decent chunk on the floor. Large prime rib was cut into 6 pieces and very good, medium rare in most sections. Again, hard to control temperature in such thick slabs as we cut into sections rare enough to moo! We didn't mind, just what happened.

Hosted our companies Holiday Dinner here. We got a private room for our small party and everything was set up beautifully. Lydia was great coordinating everything for us. Once we were there the Manager Lamont and his team were amazing. They took such great care of us. Danny our waiter was truly our hero as everything was timed perfectly and we felt really taken care of. As the host, it could be stressful, but The Palm made it seamless. Food, service, and atmosphere = A+ all the way!

The food is meh. The best dish was the Lobster Ravioli, it was truly delicious. But they peaked on the appetizer. Everything afterwards was bland or seasoned weirdly. Excruciatingly slow service on a Saturday night! But it was okay… other than them running out of lobster so we had to change an entreé… 30 minutes after putting in our order. I wish we could’ve tried the Lobster Gnocchi… Oh yea, and the Shrimp Risotto tasted nothing like risotto. The hostess was very friendly! We were sat quickly as well

The spot is a classic steak house in Downtown LA and one of the spots I highly recommend. Old school feel inside with great customer service coupled with wonderful celebrity wall art. We went here for my buddy’s birthday and brought our own wine. We ordered a dozen oysters, the thick cut bacon, hash browns, mushrooms and I ordered the boneless prime rib for the entree. For dessert I got a latte and the tiramisu with vanilla ice cream. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly, it was the right size also. I like mine medium rare and the sides were really good. The oysters were very flavorful and tasted fresh. The thick cut bacon was phenomenal and the sauce that comes with it was great(I used it for my steak too). Customer service was great overall and the dining experience was great. The latte was delicious and the tiramisu was phenomenal, especially with a side of vanilla ice cream. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items. Parking is limited to street but I recommend covered/garage parking on the opposite street on Hope.

Pros: amazing service. Absolutely top notch. I started with the buffalo mozzarella salad. Absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. Melt in your mouth. Cons: my martini was overly shaken and had large ice chips in it. I order their steak sauce with the steak, it was way too sweet. The scalloped potatoes weren't scalloped at all. They were diced and overcooked. And bland. And it was expensive. I've been to other "steak" places in the neighborhood that were a better choice. But it wasn't bad.

Great service. Everyone was so friendly. Lots of choices on menu: Lobster, steak, fish, chicken. Lovely place. Lots to see. Good wine selection. Loved the food except for the wedge salad. Not enough dressing. Very nice side dishes especially the mashed potatoes and the mushrooms. Yum! All the desserts I was interested in are made there, i.e. key lime pie, tiramisu, and the wonderful donut holes with choice of 3 dipping sauces: chocolate, caramel, and a delightful raspberry sauce. 2 sided bar. Definitely will be back.

The steak and lobster was delicious 😋 and cooked to perfection. The perfect medium rare. They have great steak sauces but are a little stingy with it. The drinks are strong and the desserts delectable and filling.

Mother's Day at the Palms was spectacular! GREAT variety of steaks and seafood! We started with the seafood tower. The general manager and the floor manager greeted us, and the staff were attentive and professional. Daniel was our waiter, and he was very informative about the menu and provided excellent service. A treat for those who enjoy listening to vintage music with matching atmosphere. The affogato dessert was the best!!

The experience at The Palm 🌴 Restaurant was just amazing! Since I walked in with the friend I had dinner with, I knew I would like it. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Jordan. He was great! The food was absolutely exquisite, starting from the side shares through the main meal, not to mention my choice of Malbec wine, desert, coffee. The service from their team, and ambiance was excellent!

This restaurant was the perfect place for my wife and I to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. I informed the restaurant's staff a few months ago that I am allergic to all sorts of shellfish. This would typically be a huge concern, but everyone I came into contact with made me feel very welcome. Strongly recommended!

The finest place to dine with family and relatives. Believe in me! Without a surety, you will never be let down! The proprietor of this wonderful eatery was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Their food was fantastic! I will definitely keep this restaurant's phone number and make a reservation for future gatherings. It's all right!

This place was whack and way overpriced! They serve salad that dines out of a bag and charge 20 for it. Theres way better steakhouses with better food!

Great service and experience. Although a steak house, we ordered the sea bass and it was great, and so was the Lobster Bisque. So was my date, but she's not on the menu. LOL Sorry, no photo of the bisque! 🙄

Great for a group. Great drinks and good atmosphere. Non existent vegan menu- but that’s what I get for meeting with friends for dinner at a steak house 😂 had the mixed greens salad and some mashed potatoes.
