Nobu is a good restaurant with good tasting food. Service is fantastic and the staff can choose your meal from start to finish for you depending on tastes, price point, and what you want to try. The menu is big and I really recommend leaving the choices up to the pros. There are a few key dishes that are must tries and the sushi and sashimi is delicious. Salmon tartare with caviare, was one of my favorite dishes. Price point is about $200 and up per person with drinks.

It was my first time at the famous Nobu. Had to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance for a weekday. Skip the $10 valet, there was enough parking on the street. The dim lighting and wood panelling makes for a good ambience but noticed the table was frayed at one edge. For first timers there’s two ways to go - a $200 tasting menu (Omakase) or tell the well-trained waiter your tastes and preferences and he’ll recommend a course of dishes. Our waiter was patient and serviced with a smile, which I always appreciate. There’s two lists - “classic” items which you’ll find at every Nobu and dishes tailored to the locale called “now”. We had Nobu staples - the Yellowtail Jalapeño (6 thin slivers of fish in yuzu soy sauce and topped with a slice of jalapeño on top) which was tangy and buttery smooth with a moderate kick; the Miso Cod (great silky texture with a sharp but sweet sauce); Salmon Yuzu Karashi Su Miso (which was six small slices of fish in a tart sauce); and the Golden Eye Snapper nigiri (which I learnt from a Vox interview with Nobu is his favourite). For dessert a bread pudding - bites of toasted bread with thyme with strawberries and milk. Spent an hour and a half there. The above won’t fill two of you but will leave you satisfied that you tried Nobu and cost you about $150. I‘m glad I went and enjoyed the food, but with the price point I don’t think I’ll go back very frequently.

You’re going to Nobu, so the price is expected to be high and quality should also be high. The waiters are very snobby. He kept on bragging about how lucky we were that they gave us our food before a large table in front of us and that we didn’t wait long. That shouldn’t be something that he brags about, it should be expected that you shouldn’t have to wait 45 min to get your food. Sushi is not that good for the price. Hot and cold dishes are good but very overpriced. If you have reservations, be prepared to wait 30 min anyway.

In a word, AMAZING! Nobu West Hollywood is a restaurant experience with "the" 5-Star winning combination: Beautiful atmosphere, outstanding food/drinks and exceptional service! The atmosphere was layered with warm lighting, creating a casually sexy environment full of beautiful people. Tables, chairs, and restrooms were clean and sanitary by excellent industry standards. The food was incredibly delicious! The Sushi was super fresh, light and yet satisfying! The Wagu Beef was tasty and so tender, it melted on our palettes like butter! The drinks were aromatic, refreshing and flavorful! Our waiter(Josh) and his assistant(Jeremiah) were EXCELLENT!!! They really could not have been better. We relied upon our waiter's experience to select and create a display of customized dinner options......and he was spot on for everything! It was all delicious!! We even requested a second order on a few of the chosen dishes. Josh is the consummate waiter of choice and we will always rely upon his recommendations. With waiters like him, there is no need to even look at a menu. Nobu West Hollywood(Los Angeles): RECOMMENDED!!!

Enjoyed the experience, the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Our bridal party had a blast. And the food was very appeasing. Being honest the price was a bit pricey for the portion of food on some plates. But otherwise it was enjoyable and tasty.

Absolutely amazing. Service is flawless. The food options and taste quality are very high end. The ambient is very comfy. Price is high but worth it. The experience is perfect end to end. I will go again when possible. For foreign people is toooo much expensive unfortunately.

Every Nobu location has something unique to offer, but the La Cienega location is hands down the best food wise in comparison. They also have a lot of the original employees from when Nobu restaurants first opened that make sure that it's ran at an impeccable standard. The food here is so innovative and even if almost every sushi restaurant in the world tries to mimic their recipes, it simply does not compare to the creators of these intricate and multi-faceted dishes. Right when you think a course is impossible to beat, the next one comes out topping the last. Appetizers, sushi, hot main dishes, vegetarian options, desserts, to drink concoctions will set the bar for your food standards. Nobu is some of the best food you will ever taste in the world. The service is unmatched. Everyone there loves their job and strives to create an unforgettable dining experience. The quality and taste of the food, the amazing and impeccable staff and service you receive, the low key, but chill upbeat mood of the restaurant makes this place one of the best dining experiences you could ever experience in the world.

An incredible experience of delicious flavour packed into every mouthful. Our waitress (wish I knew her name to mention but she had blue highlights in her hair) was so helpful and her recommendations were spot on. When in doubt ask her to offer what the popular items are. I enjoyed how we started with cold dishes, through to warm, and finished with dessert. I'm not one to ever choose a carrot cake on the dessert menu, but again chosen based on our waitress' recommendation. This thing is truly special. The lobster and wagyu tacos were amazing, as was the miso black cod, which was a highlight for me. Well done to the staff and chef at Nobu.

Saved up to eat here and was not disappointed. The service and food here were phenomenal. Some of my favorites out of the meal were the crispy rice, and the lobster tacos. Our server ensured that I had lactose free items which I heavily appreciated. (I mistakenly ordered the cookies but they were ice cream sandwiches haha) but other than that. Everything was luxurious and a overall great experience.

In keeping with its name and fame it was a gastronomical experience on our first visit to Nobu last night. Each drink and dish exceptional in flavor and presentation in its own right. Hard to pick a favorite from all that we had. Whether it was the Salmon Tartare with Caviar , their signature dish black cod with miso, the Arctic Char with Chimichurri, the Nori Kaba Ribeye or the sashimi.....everything was excellent. But if I really had to choose one it would be the Salmon Tartare with Caviar. One has to try it to know it. The wait and serve staff were excellent as well- courteous, informative and helpful. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is the table we were seated at,a corner table on the back patio....when you are paying the kind of money you do at such restaurants you do want a great ambience. We weren't even asked inside or outside.

Delicious food / boring ambiance. Went on a Thursday to try Nobu for the first time. The food and drinks were delicious. We had a great waiter who recommended many things which were perfect. The sake was delicious and smooth and the caviar tacos were unique and definitely worth trying. Only disappointing thing was we sat outside and the vibe was quiet and boring. Other than that very pleased! Parking is also pretty easier to find on the street so I’d try that before sending money on valet.

If you're coming for the expirence this place is a 5/5, there's a nice fancy atmosphere. There was a celebrity and nba dining here which was pretty cool to see. As for the food had some strip loin, loads of sushi, waygu and lobster tacos; everything was average. I expected way more when it came to the food it was a 3/5 at best.

Our dining experience was wonderful. Food was amazing. We ordered a few things, rock shrimp, jalapeño seabass, tempura lobster, spicy edemame, spicy tuna with crispy rice, lobster and shrimp, and ribeye with crispy onions. We enjoyed every single thing celebrating a birthday right. Thank you Becky for such wonderful service! ❤🤗

Always a great meal at Nobu and this location is perfect. The only fault is the decor is extremely dated and in desperate need of a refresh. Clearly, they have no problem filling the place up but I’d love to see such a prime location meet the aesthetic of the neighborhood.

Always an enjoyable experience at Nobu, I’ve heard Malibu is the most sought after and is the goal to experience. Fresh ingredients and great flavors will leave you wanting to try more. I could eat the tacos all night long.

I can only vouch for the pickup takeout option here. Might I say it was probably one of the better choices in town for takeout. At first I wasn't aware that we had a whole "blue apron" like kit ahead of us. Let me tell you that was the most fun part. It was the Valentine's Day menu. The instructions were clear succinct you had to be a fool to mess this up. It's already prepped all you have to do is just cook. And it's not even heavy cooking. It's more of a sear, reheat, plate and presentation method. Highly recommend the takeout. This won't do you wrong you'll avoid the rush, hustle and bustle, crowds and covid-19... Stay healthy out there.

Simply overrated for the hype. Ordered $300 worth of food for the sake of trying the quality and execution. It’s so so. There are much better tasting sushi places out there for much less and with better/faster service.

Great Nobu location - levels above Las Vegas for sure. More intimate and laid back than other places. Service was fantastic, super nice people all around. Parking can be tricky. Street parking is possible but it’s a really busy street so be prepared. Otherwise it’s valet parking. Online it said $13 but can’t confirm because we got a street spot. Everything I’ve had at Nobu tasted very good. Couple of notes: - Yellowtail jalapeño is my favorite dish by far. Yellowtail is a neutral fish, very tender texture, and compliments the spiciness and tang of the jalapeño and soy sauce. - Crispy rice with spicy tuna is solid, but don’t get too excited. It went viral on TikTok so everyone assumed it was the best thing ever. It’s good but not necessarily better than other dishes. Worth trying but don’t expect to be mind blown. The one at this location was deconstructed too, so each item was separate and you build your bite. I’ve had it both ways at this point and they are both solid. - The steak was so good and the presentation with the flame and everything was really cool. By far the best thing we had, and honestly the best dessert I’ve ever had in my life, was the Pistachio Semifreddo. I’d fly all the way back to Nobu just to get this. The MOST delicious and delicate dessert. Passion fruit curd topped with coconut foam. It’s refreshing, tart, and sweet all in one.

We secured a reservation a week in advance for some friends that were in town. The ambiance was great, and for a party of 6, we got a great table. The Rock Shrimp Tempura really took the night. Wish we would’ve gotten two plates of them. Definitely the first dish you should get for the table. I got Wagyu Tacos but they really did not stand out. The meat was great but the tacos are very small (2 for $12). The main dish was the Squid “Pasta” with light garlic sauce. Pasta is in quotes because it’s all squid! This was good to try, but don’t know if i’d get it again. Would’ve loved a creamier sauce instead. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. It was really nice and warm, plus ice cream scoop! A great way to end the dinner. The reason I give service 3/5 is because our waiter forgot our miso soup, and brought it until right before dessert 😅

Nice but pricey food, and good service from Kevin. Good selection of various cold appetizers, hot food and sushi. Informed that we were celebrating our graduation but sadly nothing was arranged for us.

It is my first time in Nobu and our server Arturo made our experience unforgettable. He made amazing recommendations. Everything we ate was over the top in taste. When I can back to the LA area I will return and recommend anyone to come to Nobu. Thank you Arturo for the 5 star service.

Nobu is one of my favorite restaurants but it is my first time at this location. I've noticed some meaningful differences between different locations over the years. The food was excellent and that is what you would expect from Nobu. The Nobu favorites are as good as they ever are. Of particular, I want to point out how delightful the "chips" were for the fish and chips, though you would probably wish for more fish. The server disappeared after the initial introduction so the experience was awkward. For the rest of the dinner, it was a guessing game as to who will come serve the table next, something that is very not Nobu-like. This location lives up to the Nobu brand.

Great food, but the front of house staff is rude. You are a number here and not a guest for dinner. Experience is a very important aspect of a destination restaurant, but this flagship store is alienating patrons with their poor attitudes. In particular the maitre d (Kat) is very rude and her attitude is reflected in every host working the front desk. I realize reservations are hard to come by here, so maybe they feel we are expendable? Management is allowing the host staff to undercut what is an amazing restaurant with one of the best views in all of Southern California. As a business owner it makes me angry to see employees fritter away another businesses good will. Kat, this restaurant does not belong to you and you should spend every minute you are representing Nobu to further their brand! I’ve been 4x since the beginning of summer, spending an average of $1000 each visit. I will not be back.

It is the first Nobu restaurant set up by their chef in Los Angeles. We booked seats one month in advance to have this refined dining experience on Friday night. The valet outside is $10, and there are also abundant street parking choices. The service was extraordinary, they take precautions for the pandemic in every detail and gave us not only a sense of comfort but also security. They gave very patient advice on the dishes' choice. They know that it was our first time here, so they let us take orders one by one, to see if we like what they serve. The “premium omakase” on the menu is $200 per person and it was perfect for a date. While we this time chose to order by plates. We highly recommend their bluefin tuna, it was very fresh and flavorful! Something we recommend most is the BREAD PUDDING, it was made of hot croissant bread pudding in cast iron with strawberries and milk gelato. We initially were not decided to try the dessert after the sushis, while we were fortunate that we did! And it didn’t let us down, with the ice cream on the top and hot croissant on the bottom, every bite was joyful.

it was meh. there really wasn’t anything special and usually i’d be absolutely ok with mediocrity but just not when mediocrity costs upwards of $350 for 3 people. you do order a la carte so you can decide how much you want to spend but everything is so expensive anyways so it’s hard to avoid spending a lot. the service was meh, the servers look like they have better things to do or other customers to serve. it also seems like they judge you on how you dress (gauging the depth of your pockets?) And my group followed the guidelines, we just didn’t come in with designer dresses and handbags and flashy jewelry. i went to the nobu in miami and they had much better service and looked like they actually wanted you there not that you were just another seat filler. the food wasn’t bad though, i won’t complain about the food, just wish the service was better. not worth $100 per person in my opinion considering how the experience was. there’s better restaurants in LA that are nicer decorated with a better environment and better service.

Ambience is just too dark. Atmosphere is a bit unwelcoming. Hostess could be more inviting. Server: Josh. AMAZING. 15 years of experience. My friend and I were taken aback when he asked us if we wanted to order ourselves or if he could chose for us based on 6 questions. We were skeptical but agreed. I wasn’t sure how I felt about someone else selecting my food. But I am so glad he did. Every dish he brought out was amazing. The sashimi (yellowtail and tiradito) was fresh and melt it your mouth heaven. So delicious and succulent. The sashimi with truffle sauce wow! Artichoke salad. Miso cod. The wasabi and salmon taco. All aH-mazing! Dessert: I wish we didn’t order the bread pudding. Only because we had such a light yet filling meal. The Dessert made me feel like we went over board. Drinks: the non alcoholic drink are too heavy on ice!

Nobu Los Angeles is my favorite place to have a glass of Riesling after work. It's a huge snazzy modern space. The clientele is quite well dressed and sophisticated for LA, yet the vibe is still chill. The food is excellent. And I can't say enough about the servers who all seem to love their jobs and don't take themselves or wine too seriously, even though they all know everything about it.

  • 3/5 Filip K. 10 months ago on Google
I heard of this restaurant chain and it's great food so I decided to check it out while in LA. It wasn't worth it. We got a tasting menu and except for the Chilean sea bass and the tocos no entre was worth the $500 US bill. The food (except the two dishes mentioned above) was sub standard for the price. I was very disappointed with the tar tar. Most flavors didn't work well together but the quality of the food was great. The service was amazing though! The waiters where nice food came quick and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. If I where to go back I would just get the Chilean sea bass and a cocktail.

Wow, for a gorgeous atmosphere! (Don't come dressed down!) Wow, for congratulationing us for the event we were celebrating! The waiter was really helpful and super friendly, the rest of the staff was on top of making sure we had everything needed like water and clean plates. We had the ribs super tasty and the melt in your mouth. "
