Street parking still readily available before 930am but after that it’s fills up quite fast. Valet parking is provided just before the restaurant for a small fee. The restaurant is quite lovely and the dining area is bright and welcoming. When you walk in all the pastries catch your eye and there’s a lot to choose from. Food is generally good and the coffee is strong. Service is best described as brutally efficient. The staff are there to deliver the food, clear them and nothing much else. They will quickly turn the table around so the next set of guest can take a seat. Great in its own way I guess.

Our #1 dinner venue, impressive wine list, delicious food, and friendly services. Tom, our server, was patient and professional, going through in details the sharing style and recommended many dishes. What was greatly appreciated was his consideration of our appetite (ordering too much?) and timing. The sommelier is also professional, knowledgeable, and helpful considering our preferences. Every dish is a creation of dynamic flavours and contrasting texture using fresh, interesting ingredients. Baguette is delicious too (must order). Venue can get noisy. As for parking, street parking can be challenging, valet is easy ($15).

The best French restaurant I've ever been to! The baguette is a must try-- freshly baked with the right amount of crispiness and chewiness. I like how they pair savoury flavours with sweet flavours via fruits like peaches; it makes the dish a lot more interesting and most adventurous for the taste buds. The duck is also very delicious as the skin was crunchy but the meat was tender. The corn ravioli is soft with a burst of corn flavours (I would recommend paying extra for truffles because it really puts the whole dish together). The ambience mimics France: upon entering, it's as if you entered a house. If you ever visit LA, this is a fantastic spot to have lunch or dinner.

We went here for breakfast because my daughter wanted to give it a try. We got up early so we could walk in when they opened. The variety of pastries was astounding and amazing. We tried four pastries, and they were all quite good. We also ordered breakfast. The food is so good. I would go there again and just have pastries and coffee. You could not go wrong with anything here. There was a line by the time it opened and it stayed that way until we left.

One of the better dining experiences I’ve had in LA - a must try. Enjoyable atmosphere that is both intimate and lively with good lighting. The service is great, you’re frequently checked on, refilled, and given new silverware & plates for each course by an array of servers. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients, as well as the history of the building. Most importantly, the food was incredible. All of the flavors were absolutely amazing, everything cooked to perfection. Each course was consistent in its execution! If you’re a foodie, this place is for you.

We went for a delicious breakfast, and we were surprised with how delightful everything looked and tasted. The line started outside, but it moved pretty quickly. We ordered, then got a table, and they brought the food. The special Bombolini was very tasty. It was filled with a delicious berry filling. We also tried the Berry Tres Leches, which was very good as well. The breakfast was excellent, the bread and butter, and the bacon were fantastic. The service was excellent and the ambiance was really nice. The food came out pretty quickly too.

Went for Brunch, it was a long line so mentally prepare to wait ~40 min during prime hours. The line goes quicker if you don't plan on grabbing pastries but they're almost the best part! Brunch was good, the menu is quality over flair, everything on the menu sounds basic (i.e regular breakfast) but the quality of ingredients and execution more than make up for it.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Los Angeles. There is a variety of pastries freshly baked to choose from. You can order breakfast as well. We tried the Smoked Salmon Toast and couple of pastries including Danish and Cheese cake. The waiters were amazing. The place is big so you will find tables. There is valet service. Highly recommended!

Overall a wonderful experience! They were very accommodating from the beginning when we were running late to our dinner reservation and we were seated very quickly afterwards. The ambiance is a beautiful relaxed vibe that certainly feels like you are outdoors. Can get a tad noisy. The food and service overall were great. We got the baguette with pan drippings, lettuce salad, scallops, grilled prawns, and duck. The warm baguette was delicious - though I wish they had served it alongside the salad so I didn’t have to stuff myself with bread first until we finished all the bread… so I was already a bit full to fully savor and enjoy the rest of the dishes. The salad was very delicious! The avocado slices in there were the perfect texture and freshness. The scallops were good, but I thought could have used a bit more searing. The prawns were so tasty and I loved the slightly charred taste - however not a personal fan of the prawn eggs that were attached to all the prawn pieces (some folks may love them, just not my thing). The duck was good, but didn’t think it was remarkable, and again my personal preference was for it to be cooked a little bit more (and maybe I should’ve said that to the waiter previously so I don’t fault them for it). Overall a pleasant and casual vibe, great place for date nights.

Overall experience was great, the interior lay out is pretty unique,a great place for photos. I ordered a Today’s quiche and a Croque Madame. The ingredient’s quality are high, but flavor profile was not my cup of tea. Their flavor is more on the bland side. I was expecting the savory ham to stand out when I bite into the sandwich. However, the grease from the cheese and the toasted bread coated my taste buds before I can taste the ham. The side salad was a bit too acidic with the combination of shallots, sea salts, and lemon juice. This is a great place for people who pursues simple flavors and extremely fresh ingredients.

The building! The ambiance! The food! The menu is expansive and every choice seems right. Every item was unique and innovative. Most pastries were GONE as expected but we were able to try the Passion fruit lime coconut bar and we are still dreaming about it. If you are looking to only grab pastries it's imperative you go early-they sold out fast I heard! Since I've been living in LA for the last 25 years, it was unacceptably my first time at République but it won't be my last. I can't wait to go back and try their pastries as well as other items fro their menu. Absolutely LOVE République!

We went to this restaurant while in Los Angeles, primarily because of the reviews. The pastries were probably our favorite. They have plenty of options. The breakfast items we had, the BLT Benedict and the Waffle, were fine. The waffle had no flavor, and the only redeeming feature was the berries on it. It's expensive for the amount of food you get, but the atmosphere is lovely.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere inside and outside is so delightful. They currently are doing all outdoor seating. The pastries are fresh and delicious. The food is amazing. If you can get the eggs Benedict salmon with the green sauce, DO IT, don’t ask me what the green sauce is, but it’s delicious. Tea is served in cute cast iron carafes. The customer service is stellar. There was a slight problem with a patty and the manager rectified it right away. If LA was my home I would be here for brunch every weekend!

Brunch at République is always the best — a must for both locals and visitors. The line can be long at times, finding seating can be a little chaotic, and the food and service can be quite slow, but it’ll definitely be worth it! The vibes and food are amazing. The mushroom toast has a wild blend of textures and flavors. To complement a crunchy, crispy toast, fluffy and light scrambled eggs are delicately placed on top. The mushroom toast was flavorful and very rich. The avocado toast was also very good and lighter than the mushroom toast. I love how it wasn’t just plain avocado, and the balance of the seasonings were just right. The cheesecake was the perfect way to end the meal. The basque cheesecake was so rich, creamy and delicate at the same time. The brown butter oatmeal raisin cookie was also so good. I highly recommend the pastries and desserts!

The food here is spectacular. The ambience is also very cool. We had the Belgian waffle, French toast, and a few other items. The food was absolutely spectacular. The service is a little weird in that you have to order on line and try and grab a table when you can. Makes it a little stressful. However, it’s all worth it because the food is just that good.

This is a brunch review! Note that dinner is a different chef. We parked at the paid parking at la brae tarpits and walked the half mile. The line was to the end of the block and took about thirty minutes as it moves quickly. You place your order at the pastry counter and the food comes quickly which means the tables turn over faster than an order at the table style restaurant. The selection of food, both pastries and brunch is diverse and playful. While there are classic dishes even those have twists. For example the classic eggs and meat breakfast has “bacon steak” vs sliced bacon. (It was spectacular if your okay with plenty of fat). My potato pancake was like no other and hit the mark for interesting and delicious. Simply put, this was the best breakfast I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of breakfasts! Service was really good. Remember you order at the counter on the way in and then it’s open seating with both indoor and outdoor options. Bus and waiter staff were frequent and fast and super friendly. I came away feeling the lunch team really were concerned that you got the best meal experience they could offer. Small item but I always take my coffee with sugar but this coffee was so good I skipped the sugar. My suggestion is go here for both the culinary adventure and a trendy meal experience.

4.5. Actually pretty good just the price are little expensive but we are in LA, let’s just talk about how good the food is. And yes, it’s good, the only thing is it’s too greasy if you ate the whole things. I really don’t like much greasy food so please when you order, consider don’t order too much!

This is a very large restaurant with many workers hustling all over the place. The food was very good and introduced us to something different. All dishes were very good including the corn pasta and the truffle appetizer. Two of the dishes, the cheek meat and the soft shell crab, were good but both were way too salty (not the crab, but the rice it came with the crab was very salty). All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

Great breakfast & brunch. The line backs out the door but it’s not as long a wait as it seems, the bakery display case is right inside the door, you pick your pastries and order food at the cashier, then find a place to sit. There are two levels of seating plus a large outdoor patio. A large skylight makes the main seating area bright and sunny. Valet parking only.

My sister recommended me to come and I’m glad I did. The food here is seriously so premium. I love the atmosphere in the cafe. The open kitchen layout is pretty cool. We were looking at all the staff busy prepping all the delicious food. I would recommend to come early if you want to get pastries. We came in right before the kitchen closed (1:45pm) and all the pastries are gone lol. I’ll probably try to come here before 8am next time. We order two dishes and two lattes which costs about $70. It’s pricy but I think it’s well worth it.

République Café Bakery & République Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of charm in L.A. The fantastic location, delicious food, and friendly service make it a true gem. And of course, don't even think about leaving without indulging in those incredible pastries! République Café Bakery & République Restaurant stole my heart (and stomach) on a recent trip to L.A.! Nestled in a charming 1920s building, this French gem delivered on all fronts: location, service, food, and those divine pastries. Like many chic Parisian cafes, you order at the counter first, then snag a table and wait for your culinary delights to arrive. The line moved surprisingly fast, even with the tempting pastry display beckoning me at every turn.

I enjoyed the classic breakfast plate with eggs and potatoes, but the shakshuka was a letdown. Unfortunately, modifications aren’t allowed. The pastries were good, not exceptional. Despite the food, the vibes were nice, making it a decent spot for hanging out with friends or LA newcomers. However, the overpriced parking at $13.50 on a Saturday morning was a drawback. Overall, a solid choice with room for improvement. I’d rate it 4/5.

This place is beautiful, spacious, great atmosphere, and with friendly staff. Now, let’s move on to the better part of my review, their food, pastries, natural juice options and coffee are to die for. Highly recommend this spot, don’t be discouraged by the wait time in line, the only reason there’s a line is because they have an order as you check-in concept, then you go sit where you like. Amazing spot!

The food is delicious. The Breakfast Sandwich is good but nothing out of the ordinary. French toast is very good and light. We loved the Koshihikari Rice. Very unique flavor and texture. It's kind of a cafeteria style restaurant, so the service is not great. For first time visitors you would like to have a better interaction with the staff to order the right things. They seemed rushed which I understand given the long lines. Come early before 10 am. All the pastries will be gone if you come at noon or later. The regular Coffee is amazing. Very smooth.

Food was delicious and the line moved fast. We were visiting family from Texas and we can’t wait to come back to eat here. Everything was excellent. Service was friendly. One item was never delivered until we got up to check on it. There could be more communication at the front when you get in line outside as to what we do in line and how the order process goes. We were kind of lost an the servers in the bakery were in a hurry to move us through.

This place gets extremely busy but worth the wait and money. Carrot cake was the best I've ever had! Skip the average waffles though despite the fresh berries. From the looks of the customers it seems like a hip modern date spot or with SO friends

Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. République does not disappoint and lives up to its hype. The steak is cooked perfectly and the duck is tender and paired well with sweet caramelized peaches. Our waitress recommended the bread and butter and I'm so glad we took her up on her suggestion. The butter is flown in from Normandy and adds flavor and creaminess to the rich crispiness of the baguette. Service is top notch. The only thing that I didn't like was the Japanese highball cocktail. Too much soda water diluted the drink, and the overall flavor profile was a bit bitter.

It was good. My husband thought the duck was among the best he's tasted, and that is a big deal. I thought the food was good. It wasn't the absolute best. The service was a bit slow at the beginning. We were 30 minutes early for our reservation at 5:30, and the restaurant opens at 5:30. We were the first ones there. But others who just showed up were seated very quickly, while we were told to wait. So we waited. Then others showed up and were seated right away again. I also did not know that the reservation was for outdoor seating, so I made the mistake of asking to sit inside. And that took another good amount of time. I was frustrated. Little details or lack thereof annoy me. Other than that, it was fine.

I’ve heard so many good things about having brunch at @republiquela but have you ever tried their pastries as well? Starting your day with their Peach danish🍑 will definitely make your day 1000times better☀️ République offers a wide variety of pastries ranging from cookies to pies and cakes! Their peach danish had a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness from the peach slices and the danish was very flaky and buttery😍 📱@infoodwetrustmi

Republique is in a class of its own when it comes to dinner and is certainly one of the best choices in all of Southern California for breakfast. I make the long trip from Riverside at least once a month to dine here. It is worth it. Always order the bread when visiting, you won't regret it.

I love this place! A huge dining area indoor/outdoor, the line seems longer than my life, but it moves fast due to the ordering system inside, where you have to place your order once you enter on the pastry counter. Then grab any table you want. Food is delicious! Coffee is satisfying and the patisserie section OMG!

Delicious pastries and breakfast. Service was quick and attentive. The line was understandably long, but kept moving along. It is busy on Saturday mornings. Plan to wait in line for at least 25 minutes. Silverware is given out by request instead of being left on the table, cleanliness is not a concern. The lobster omelette, chia seed pudding and the ricotta toast were yummy. The fruit tart was great, but the spherical, puffy pastry with the chocolate filling was dense and average.

Love the food and atmosphere. I reached at around 11am and there was a long queue. However, the queue moved pretty fast, where orders were taken before finding a seat. Was it worth the wait? Definitely yes but just make sure you are not queuing when you are absolutely starving. 😉 Ordered the salmon with potato pancake, french toast and the mushroom toast.

I tried their banana poppy seed cake, the texture was great, not too greasy but moist enough👍👍. Croissant is well made also, must try. You will see a long queue outside of the restaurant but surprisingly don’t need to wait for a long time. The crab omelet is a must, the egg is well seasoned & cooked, plenty of crabmeat, so soft but no runny egg yolk👍👍 We have never had Pupusa before, this is our first. We like how they layer the flavors for this dish. My son had the traditional breakfast plate, he enjoyed the bacon steak, which is steak style. We saw some people leave the whole bacon steak on the plate, maybe they expected thinner crispy bacon? They cook the potatoes so nice, crispy outside and tender inside👍 We like this restaurant very much. We wants to go for dinner but we couldn’t make it on this trip. If I come back to LA again, this restaurant will be one of my must-visit places.

A pricey visit but personally felt it was absolutely worth it for the pastries and beautiful environment. There is a line but it moved quickly for us, we arrived around 9am Saturday morning and were able to be inside in 5 minutes. However when we left an hour later the line was down the block! Immediately entering you can view all the delicious pastries and baked goods available, which they don’t list in their online menu. You cannot go wrong with any of your choices!! After you order it’s first come first serve for seats - another reason why coming early works well. The line does move quickly and you may be asked to order before you get the chance to look at everything on display - don’t be afraid to ask for more time :) We also ordered items from their breakfast menu and coffees - which was delicious but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat again with so many other breakfast choices in LA. I genuinely thought I scammed myself for ordering the mushroom toast lol but it ended up being very filling and a new delicious experience. But all that said, the baked goods and pastries are really a treasure and eating them in this gorgeous high ceiling, open air architectural beauty of a building was an amazing way to start the weekend.

The food, service and ambiance are truly divine! The BLT Benedict came with the best poached eggs. Every ingredient has its own flavor and when you combine them all in one bite, it’s like a symphony. Pastries are flawless. We picked several different kinds and they are all top-notch. We came 5 mins before they open, there was already a line outside(weekday). Counter service, order everything at the register, choose your bakery stuff and the staff will bring your hot food and drinks over.

We came early in the morning for brunch and didn't have to wait! The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly! The best part of this restaurant is the interior design and the ambience. It is such a cool building and really well done! We easily found street parking a block away. My parents used the valet and it was a mess, so I would try to avoid it as much as possible. They lost someone's keys and it took over 20 minutes to get our car back because there were so many people coming to the restaurant mid-day. Overall, a great spot and amazing food!

Came for brunch and don’t think I’ll ever come back. It’s overpriced for ok food. The BLT Benedict was good but the eggs were incredibly undercooked; egg white was watery and gooey. The mushroom toast was tasty but not filling. We came on a holiday and there was a pretty long line but it went fast. It took about 20 mins from the moment we got there till ordering and finding seats.

On our most recent trip to L.A., we stopped at Republique for brunch. We loved it so much we ended up going back twice more. That should tell you everything you need to know! The pastries are fantastic - in particular, the Basque cheesecake, the ube brioche, the kouign-amann, the rose raspberry doughnut and the madeleines. From the breakfast menu, I'd recommend the Gioiella Ricotta Toast, the Regular Breakfast, the Granola and the Steak Frites. We also tried the Eggs Benedict - not my favourite item from the menu but a solid choice if you like Eggs Benedict in general. The French omelette was also quite good. We loved the granola so much, we bought a bag of the mix to bring home with us. Also, the bread and butter - amazing! The line moves very quickly so don't be discouraged if you see a lineup out the door. It gets quite busy but we managed to find seating every time. The restaurant has a busy vibrant ambiance during the day with a mix of individual and communal tables. We will definitely be back next time we are in Los Angeles!

This is an upscale French restaurant, but it's definitely worth visiting. It can be quite crowded at the entrance, as many people are eager to dine here, even during lunchtime. But it's worth it. Inside, you'll find a delightful interior with various areas where you can comfortably spend your time. There are cozy spots near the windows, outdoor seating, and even a view of the bread-making process if you sit closer to the kitchen. There's a wide variety of dishes available, but my advice to you is to be adventurous! Instead of opting for a sandwich, try the Shakshouka. Yes, it's a meatless dish, but it's so satisfying that you'll never forget it! As for dessert, I highly recommend the meringue cookies. They are absolutely delicious!

We ordered one breakfast dish and three pastries to share, and were very impressed with all of them! I would have said that the morning menu is $ or $$, and the dinner menu $$$. There is no host/hostess, you just order at the pastry case, get a number for your order, and go take a seat. I was surprised that there was no line at 10 AM on a Friday morning! They have a paid parking lot, but we got free street parking two blocks away.

The hostess was amazing, but our server was rude. He would just slide plates on the table, drop the utensils and barely passed by our table to check if we needed anything or if we were good. but putting that aside because the food is always the star of the show. I don’t need to itemize this review as EVERYTHING we tried from Republique was good.

Their line is always long during brunch hours! Waited in line for 1 hour. When you walk in, they’ll take your pastry order first. Let them know if you are dining in or take out. The plate/container is out into consideration! Order at the front and they’ll hand a cup with a number. Then you’re free to find a spot to sit. They do have upstairs as long as it’s not closed. They need to see your cup number to bring you your food! Croque madam: it was delicious!! I wish they added more bechamel sauce but the amount spread on the toast was still fine. Would recommend! Cauliflower nachos: it’s pretty good!! Majority of the nachos are covered with their sauce which I do like. They could definitely add more cauliflower as we got many small pieces and a few larger pieces sprinkled around the plate. Koshihikari rice: mix it!! 2 poached eggs was the perfect amount! The flavor was so delicious! Would recommend! Ginger ale: lots of ginger! It’s good!! Parking: we parked on the street in the residential and walked over to the restaurant. It’s not far, but definitely do not block others driveway! Price: their price is higher but I’d say to give it a try! They have lots of unique food and pastries. I’ve been trying all their dishes every time I come and have been loving it!

Have to order everything at the counter before you sit down. Kind of slows down the whole experience. But once you do order and get your number the food delivered to your table is delicious! Beautiful building with high ceilings and glass roof. A must visit brunch place.

Very cute brunch/bakery spot. You order in line before being seated. While waiting to pay you can see all the amazing pastries they have which are supposed to be some of the best in LA. I had their brown butter cookie which was delicious but def heavy on the butter. Also had their pistachio raspberry Amman and it was amazing. Cream, flaky, buttery. And they have many more pastries that they’re better known for. Also had their short rib burrito which was smothered in a delicious red sauce. Very tasty but also very filling. Excited to go back and try more pastries and other brunch items.

Brunch at this République was an absolute delight. Arriving at 10am allowed us to easily secure a table, a smart move considering the popularity that attracts a large crowd later on. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the pastries, with the Ube croissant standing out as a must-try. It paired wonderfully with their cappuccino, a real treat for dark roast coffee aficionados. Additionally, the lobster omelette deserves a special mention for its exceptional fluffiness and rich flavor. This place is a gem for brunch enthusiasts and we highly recommend it.

Fine location for delicious French food. You will not be disappointed in the menu and service. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.

Truly one of the best restaurants in LA. Everything here is great. The pastries are hard to access as I think they run out very very quickly after open but they are a gem. I mean it when I say, EVERYTHING that I've tried here has been great.

By chance, I find this cafeteria! I am very happy that when I found this amazing cafeteria, I was able to go around the place. Their position was superbly cleaned and superior to my style. Their staff were polite and greeting, accommodating me from the front door until I got a seat. The finest service! Up thumbs!

The room was tidy, comfortable and comfortable. The rates were rather competitive and fair. Before the next time! Oh, thank you boys!

It's the best place to get comfortable and catch up with friends. The interior design is fantastic, the customer service was very satisfying at the time, and there was a wide range of food. It has parking spots outside. It's a beautiful place to hang out and the rates were also fair. Thank you very much.

I give this place 4 stars for everything except for the second most important thing bedside eating is "ordering." It's difficult to get your hands on the food here there are so busy. I couldn't even place an online order until an hour and half later. Other than that the food is unbelievable crafted to presentation and the taste is what it looks like... flaky-buttery-crunchy-quality!

Last week, I had dinner with my friends here and we enjoyed the venue as well as the food served. Their price, too, was only correct and fair. Their staff members were very helpful and welcoming as they helped us find a nearby taxi because we were new to the place. Thank you, guys!

They've all got what I needed, particularly some grilled chicken with roasted vegetables. I always enjoyed it and I enjoyed the generosity of the server who was willing to listen to all my requests. This is an outstanding restaurant in our city!

NEVER order fries from this place, it’s not their specialty (very thin, stale and over priced). Over priced soda ( also don’t buy it’s nothing special). Order anything else and you’re golden! The pastries are from heaven. Definitely worth going back for. My order was two meals+2 drinks + 3 pastries+ tip=$100

The best restaurant ever, because it was pet-friendly! Our angry babies will enjoy having dinner with us, too, in this place. They also serve meals, with freshly cooked dishes. The place was airy and comfortable. I love to dine under the trees and enjoy the breeze of the air. This is the perfect restaurant for our dog lovers!

Came to République on a Wednesday evening for dinner and drinks. They don't allow backpacks and large bags, but that's okay since they offer complimentary bag check. We were lucky that we made reservations ahead of time because it was pretty busy. I can only imagine how the weekends might look like. They also won't seat you until your whole party is present.

we finally decided to buy the NYE dinner ! a great good idea to end a terrible year .... We made it a dinner and a lendemain lunch ( with the rillettes and the foie gras en croute ) . It's really rare to get to this level of cuisine on a delivery menu and as French foodies, it's actually exceptional ! the devil is in the details : the petit beurre salé, the chanterelle mushrooms, the Italian pasta with real lobster pieces .... Maybe the only mistake was the half bottle of Krug champagne at 75$ and the champagne dessert far away from the chocolate one just incredible ! ..... and the tatin ice cream (apple and vanilla) , perfect to start 2021 .... Merci Chef !!

The service is excellent, there's no doubt about it. Crew members are very well educated, friendly, attentive, and they know exactly what they're doing. They make excellent suggestions for wine that goes well with food. The meal is gorgeous and well served. Really good as though they treated a lot of visitors. Great location for any family meeting.

Standard République: delicious but with difficult parking and long lines. The pastries, drinks, and food are consistently good. The last couple of times i got lucky and parked on the street. My favorites are guava strudels, individual tres leches, cubano sandwich, ham croquette, and fresh OJ. This is my go to on the way to the Hollywood Bowl since you can bring in food.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! 5 days on vacation, and the family decided that we should try sushi that day. This was our chosen venue, and it didn't disappoint. Lots of ordered dishes, all delicious. The matcha tiramisu is an acquired taste, but since it was there, I just tried it! This restaurant I would highly recommend!

Great spot for breakfast. Beautiful pastries and delicious entrees. Cool room too. Don’t be too put off by the ever present line to get in, moves pretty quickly but it builds quickly if you don’t get there early and then there’s a wait. The room is always busy but you can always find somewhere to sit. The croque madam was kind of heavy, skip that. Everything else was quite good.

Note: I'm told they have the best brunch, which I have not tried and will be back to give it a shot. But for dinner, I don't think I'd consider returning. The service was slow, food was mostly average, dessert was not all that, and it's a bit too loud. Aesthetically though, beautiful space and nice food presentation. My favorite dish was Mary's Chicken. The chicken was soft, flavorful and just great. The potato's and veggies in the dish were really good too. Highly recommend trying that! But otherwise, the dinner experience is average.

Came to this restaurant after hearing about it on the podcast “dinner’s on me” by Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The food is delicious. Definitely very expensive and not for a casual meal. Had the corn appetizer, butternut squash pasta and lamb chops. The lamb chops were pretty average in comparison, however.

What’s a great atmosphere ! Our food was also very delicious. I would not say it’s quiet cafe for work environment necessarily but the bar is definitely nice for a change of scenery while you do laptop work. The staff are excellent and very friendly and personal. Our waiter took time to stop and chat with us for a while even thought the restaurant was so busy. Lattes were a hit, we ordered 3 rounds!

Today is my First time here, brunch with my friends. I really like the French Toast, very delicious! Here you have to order and pay the food first at the counter. After that they will give you a number of cup, and find the set by your self, waiting for the food. By the way, this restaurant have place can parking the car but valet only, it’s 10 dollars for valet. (If it’s the weekend prices it will be different.)

Typically long line, but it moves pretty quickly, and there are enough tables inside, so don't worry about the waiting time. While browsing through charmingly displayed pastries, I finally got more than I needed. For brunch, I loved the French toast; such a delicate and buttery piece it is. Hopefully, everybody should try.

I recently visited Republique for breakfast and while the food wasn't outstanding, there were aspects of the dining experience that stood out. The bakery and sweet offerings were absolutely delicious. From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air, enticing me to try their delectable treats. The pastries were flaky, the cakes were moist, and the overall quality was excellent. Moreover, the ambiance at Republique was truly remarkable. The restaurant had a charming and inviting atmosphere, with its elegant decor and a bustling energy. The combination of rustic and modern elements created a unique and memorable dining environment. Although the breakfast options didn't meet my expectations, the bakery and sweet offerings, along with the ambiance, salvaged the experience. Republique is definitely a place worth visiting for those seeking a delightful bakery experience and a wonderful ambiance.

  • 5/5 Ryan M. 9 months ago on Google
Fabulous. The ambiance buzzes with the joy of life. Service is only a 4 b/c you basically serve yourself, however the staff is certainly fab. Would rate higher if it was full service. Food is great, albeit inflated in cost for being in LA. At some point, the more expensive the food is, the worse it begins to taste. I realize it is probably the cost of doing business, but an omelette is just an omelette..

  • 5/5 Maina K. 8 months ago on Google
Republique has always been one of my favorite breakfast spots in LA! I highly recommend their potato pancakes, pastries, eggs Benedict, and brioche french toast. However, during my last visit, I was disappointed to find that the brioche french toast did not quite live up to my memory of it from before COVID. It was not as creamy on the inside, and the caramelized sugar layer was not as perfectly crispy as I remembered. Nevertheless, I still cherish their recipe book, which I acquired a few years ago, and have been able to replicate their brioche toast recipe at home ever since!

Amazing restaurant! Excellent service and incredible food! Beautiful inside and a wonderful atmosphere. We had the Regular Breakfast & the Belgian Waffle. Both were delectable. We also had the Strawberry Chocolate Scone & a Chocolate Chip cookie, delicious. Highly recommend!

Where should I begin? The positive: the food is unbelievably good! We tried the BLT, and it’s out of this world. We wanted to try everything from the pastry window, but it’s almost impossible due to the wide variety. We ordered the croque madame, and while the ingredients and flavors are top quality, the combination left us feeling sorry. It missed the creamy and cheese experience in the kitchen! Nothing to do with the original. The creme brulee bombolone and the other one, I can recall its name, were excellent! Finally, the atmosphere is beautiful! But, there are also some negative things. First, the system to get in has many flaws. After almost 40 minutes of waiting, you pay for everything in advance, just to realize the place is practically empty! That’s so frustrating… Second, the service. They have zero interest in giving you a good experience. Could it be related to the pay-out front system?

  • 5/5 Samarth J. 3 months ago on Google New
Wonderful dinning experience!! Portions are very small so make sure to order multiple dishes. Drinks are the highlight. Unfortunately bakery was closed by the time we went for dinner but apparently their bakery items are worth the trip that’s what I heard from the locals FYI.
