We were touring some family around the sites and walked a couple blocks off the main drag to find this spot. Well worth the walk, they hustled to sort out a table for 8, the flowers, house, and decor were lovely - don't miss the inside, it is also very beautiful. Food was fresh, fast, and delicious. Our server was the perfect balance of friendly and hands off, and corrected a mild mistake with comping the dish that was forgotten. Everyone enjoyed their food, and with a group of 8 including international travelers that is a near miracle.

Hello Folks! If you’re in the LA area you have to check out Off Vine. Very nice place to go to for brunch. They have the best banana bread there is. The staff is very welcoming and professional. The mimosas were great! The salmon and eggs were perfect! There’s also great parking options, which is hard to find at times in LA. Take a stop by Off Vine, it’s worth the visit!

Really great spot for brunch off bustling Vine. The garden patio is quiet, peaceful and absolutely bursting with green. It felt like an oasis. The food is also very good. My blueberry pancakes had big, fresh blueberries in them. My husband's smoked salmon scramble was pretty good even for someone who isn't crazy about smoked salmon. I guess it wasn't overly smoked and strong? Our little dog was welcomed.

It is a cute place inside. Needs a bit of maintenance on the outside. I met some old friends for brunch on a week day. The service was good, the brunch selections minimal. Brunch on the weekend may be better?? It is in a good location for dinner before Hollywood Pantages events. I probably wont return here as I felt the selection was so so.

Cutest girlie brunch spot! Service was quick and kind. They had alcohol and morning beverages choices! The food was decent. Little COVID mask crazy right now compared to MN but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless!

I like this place because it is tucked away from the traffic and noise. I have been here over the years and though I hadn't been back since pre COVID, it felt so good to return and enjoy a wonderful meal in the romantic patio. The service was wonderful and the food even better. The Chicken Marsala was very good with wild mushrooms in a wine sauce and mashed potatoes. The Atlantic salmon was also good with mushrooms, spinach, and grilled bell peppers. Make sure you order the raspberry soufflé when you order your food it is light and the right amount of tart on an already sweet dessert. My favorite over the chocolate which is my second favorite. Bon appétit!

Off Vine is a cool place to have some wonderful and delicious food. All kinds of interesting offerings. All made fresh to order with natural ingredients. There are a number of souffle items on the menu that are very good. It's all good. The staff is attentive. The Owner greets everyone, and makes sure you're good with the service and the food. The drinks are good. I was there for brunch.

What a beautiful place, great food and service that has been the heart of Hollywood .Too bad it had to close. Corporation will tear it down and construct a lot

Fabulous dinner. Really nice outside seating, with exception of a few noisy trucks going by. Menu is small but superb. Duck sausage appetizer was just amazing. Blackened shrimp was a little too spicy for some in our dinner party. By far, by far, best main dish was the duck breast with cherry and mushroom sauce. And make sure to order the souffle when you order the main!

Lunch. Mango, avocado & shrimp salad very interesting. Dressing was not exciting. Turkey meatloaf sandwich uninteresting. Wake chips soggy. Tomato & orange soup very nice. Best dessert of chocolate souffle. Coffee very good. Overall well done.

Good food and great ambience. Too bad the place is closing down soon. They have perfected subtle art of creating a majestic dinner experience . Do visit before they close down.

Overall good experience, it was raining when we went there hence couldn’t experience their outdoor space which looked cute. Their chocolate soufflé felt very much like it had Hershey’s hot chocolate mix added to it.

Very cute location - such a nice escape from the grime of Hollywood and its office buildings all around. Food is decent, although overpriced for what it is. Service was poor. There were only 4 tables filled while we were there, but they still managed to fail to put our food order through to the kitchen. The server apologised and sent it through. Our salad starter eventually came after 45 minutes. Not so good in a time-limited lunch break. Coming up to 2 hours, my friend needed to return to the office. A little while later the waiter came with the check. I asked where dessert was. It turned out that even after forgetting to put through our orders for starter and main, he still hadn’t put through our dessert order which takes 20 minutes to make. He had made a big deal about how special their soufflé is whilst taking our order, so we were looking forward to it. But I didn’t fancy sitting around another 20 or 30 minutes to have dessert on my own. So I still don’t know whether it’s any good.

One my most favorite restaurants in LA with incredible memories through the years. So quaint and cozy and welcoming - as if you are going into one's special home off the beaten path of the hustle and bustle of Hollywood - and so convenient to the Pantages Theater. So very sorry it is closing-- property bought by apartment developing company. Extremely sad another Hollywood gem is now gone. Thank you, Off Vine, for the amazing food and cherished memories and ohh, the out of this world chocolate souffles. You will be so missed!

Have stayed in a nearby hotel many times but just discovered Off Vine. Wonderful meal this evening. Unfortunately their lease is ending and they will close permanently soon because their block will be developed. If they’re still open, don’t waste any time. Make a reservation and GO! You’ll be glad you found this gem even if you’re one of the last to dine here.

We went with dear friends from Catalina island. They picked the restaurant. The setting is as charming as their wait staff. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals, very much. Tom, our waiter could not be any more pleasant. The Salmon was cooked perfectly. The shrimp were nice, plump and moist. The only area needing improvement was their flourless chocolate cake. It was super dry. I had trouble swallowing it. Definitely give this restaurant a try.

This restaurant is amazing! What a lovely setting and a fantastic restaurant. The service is great, and I was made to feel at ease from beginning to end. They are all outstanding in every aspect. This is a just experience that I'd never forget. Without a doubt, I will return to this place in the future. Thank you so much, and please continue your exceptional job.

I am literally still sitting in this restaurant. One of my final meals before I head home from Los Angeles. I had no idea what to expect suffice to say that I am blown away by the service and the food. Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. I ordered the waffle special with 2 eggs over easy on the side w/bacon. They did not skimp on service, quality and portions. Well done ‘Off Vine’.

I loved this place for its elegant, intimate setting, and yummy main courses 😋🧡 The menu is more on the consise side but had lots of appetizing options to choose from. Came here for brunch and I got the Eggs Sardou (shown below) and my bf got the Lox Benedict both were amazing 🍳🥚🥓 the hollandaise sauce was perfection, the eggs were divine, and the portions are substantial. Our servers were attentive and friendly and overall the service was hospitable. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was because both of our house potatoes were lacking some seasoning but other than that I would for sure come back to check out the lunch and dinner menus 😋Come check this place out if you want to enjoy a lovely brunch away from the hustle and bustle of the city (you are still in the city) and enjoy a lovely and delicious brunch with your group of brunch enthusiasts 🥞🥚🍳🥓🥂

We made 6 PM pre theater dinner reservations at this longtime favorite; but due to a “stopped” freeway traffic accident, we were 45 minutes late. We’d called and were told “…..OK. Please don’t rush, and be safe.” When we finally arrived, the lovely Brenda welcomed us. Somehow, we were calmly but quickly served our salad and delicious entrees in time to make our show! Our salad was lightly dressed with a lovely balsamic and olive oil. My husband’s shrimp with wild mushrooms and spinach over linguine and my penne pasta with fresh basil and chopped tomatoes were exceptionally delicious. Both entrees were served piping hot! Thanks Brenda…..and our compliments to the chef!

Such a great find on a chilly, rainy fall day! The atmosphere is cozy and warm and the staff Is friendly, attentive and just as warm. For our lunch, we sat next to the fireplace and started with soup and sandwiches and ended with a chocolate soufflé. The food was delicious! Bonus: they are open on Mondays! You can’t go wrong with this place!

I rarely give 5 stars for anything unless, it's outstanding and has a wow factor. This special place deserves all of it. Every year we would host our Friendsgiving dinner here the week before Thanksgiving and it's been fabulous each time. The food is always very delicious, the service just superb and just the atmosphere is so homey and cozy. I always grab the upstairs so, we can have it mostly to ourselves and the staff always manages to make the room feel like my home. The table cloths and candles all around just adds to the atmosphere. They are always so patient. I had to change my reservation a couple of times when people cancelled or if I had to add some back. I love this place! I'll have to get back a few more times just for regular dinner before they close permanently in 2023 when their lease is up. So sad to see them go but, so grateful to have discovered them. Go check it out yourself.

The location and building are amazing. Old construction home acted in the middle of modern urbanism. Beautiful and calming environment hidden behind natural greenery in the heart of the city. Food was fantastic and the service was pleasantly perfect. No matter what you have for your meal - get the soufflé for dessert. Always.

My husband and I really wanted to love this place but we didn't. The service was lacking attention to detail. We weren't offered fresh plates or cutlery in between selections. No coffee or dessert beverages offered. The food was unremarkable, even bland.. my meatloaf brought me back to college and frozen stouffers meals. Also unfortunate that we paid a premium price for twist bottle 5 buck chuck wine!.. I think this place is riding on a reputation that has long past and needs to put some energy into quality of food and service.

Wonderful, wholesome American fare with a Californian twist served in quaint cottage. It’s the food you wish you could make at home. Save room for the soufflés.

You could tell they were short staffed, but Derek was amazing and sweet. He got us taken care of and out of there in time for our show. The ambiance is so relaxing and welcoming. I could stay there forever.

One of the most charming places in Hollywood to dine. Location that's been there for years which looks like a cute tucked away house with a lovely floral environment, eat on their front porch, in their front yard, or within the home, and enjoy sumptuous menu options and delightful service.

This is my go to restaurant before I catch a show at the Pantageous. Make sure you order the souffle the minute you sit down. The menu is all delicious

Nice neighborhood place for brunch! If they offer the souffles, do not say no.

Really more like 4.5. Pros - well prepared tasty food, fine service - and the arts and crafts home setting is really special. Cons - somewhat limited menu and wine options. Reds we're all California; maybe one French or a Malbec would help round out the choices. To they're credit though they will do corkage. Another con is that they also do a split plate charge, which I truly hate.

Off Vine has been serving delicious food for nearly 30 years. Located in Hollywood, it's been a favorite of theater-goers, particularly those attending the Panthers and The Lighthouse. Unfortunately the lease is up and the restaurant will be closing in April 2023, so get there while you can. Adorable and inviting cottage with the best patio seating around!!

Nice set up for indoor or outdoor dining. We didn't have reservations but were promptly seated. Our eggs Benedict were delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice meal on a homey setting.

An excellent choice for before or after the Van Gogh Exhibit. Within walking distance. AND the food is fantastic, prices are fair and the staff is top notch. Also a great garden patio! You can't go wrong here. Just visiting from Denver CO, but have had a meal here on 3 prior visits.
