Expansive and beautiful park in downtown LA, lots of space that allows plenty of light in even surrounded by larger buildings. Has fountains and kids play areas, wonderful assortment of trees and plants on display. Interesting vertical design as it's built along a hill, creating a series of tiers. Very close to the Walt Disney concert hall

Sprawling urban park close to city hall. Pretty well maintained, lots of things to do nearby. Look online for events in the area. A nice interlude when wandering around downtown.

Highly recommend this park if you’re living downtown and just need a place to unwind or do some work outside or anything of that nature. I had a great time walking around after work and grabbing coffee at the starbucks. There are many fountains where families often bring their kids to play inside of. Lots of open space for a downtown picnic or just open space to lay out in the sun

I found this place to be a good stopover while working around downtown LA! Grand Park is a wide open urban park, good for taking in prepared food to eat, joining co-workers for a break and join friends for a game of soccer. It’s also a good area for festival style concerts and shows! There’s interesting displays of flags and there’s a tribute memorial honoring the military services that have served our country! There’s a covered area with chairs and tables and a well maintained restroom. Grand Park is next to the famous LA City Hall. The park is easily accessible on foot for those who work in the area, as well as attendees to local functions, events and commitments. While Grand Park is free to use, area parking will be expensive for any length of stay. So a stop off just to use the park may have be considered, if to justify the expense! Lastly, the ongoing plantings of arid tolerant gardening is appreciated! I would’ve liked to have seen more tree shade and naturalness amongst the neatly sectioned spaces. Tho I guess it goes with the territory of limited urban space here and the tradeoff of not having hiding places for vagrants, with whom this park seems to be freed of. I felt sad for those who were displaced, although mindful of my visitors concerns of going here.

Went here for Pokemon Go Community Day. Lovely park, the fountain was very peaceful. Lots of people out playing and enjoying a beautiful spring day. I will definitely be returning. It's close to a lot of tasty food so good for a picnic.

My kids love playing in the fountains and at the playground at the Grand Park!! We have been going here since they were toddlers. It is nice because there is also a Starbucks right next to the fountains. It makes it convenient to buy snack etc. The only challenge is finding parking. I usually can find metered parking and walk there. There is a metro stop that is right near the park.

This urban park next to Los Angeles' City Hall is a popular spot with dog walkers. I stopped by to view the facade of the 1930s municipal building. The nearby Vietnam memorial and flag exhibition were worth looking at, and public transport links are good.

This is an awe-inspiring place to go. Amazing that it's right down the street from skid-row but one would never know it. Whether you visit during the day or after sun down this place is vibrant and beautiful. Great for the kids or an intimate couples picnic! ENJOY!!

Peaceful and beautiful park that's maintained well by grounds keepers. Sadly, when I visited the water fountain wasn't fully spraying water but nonetheless it's a nice park to sit back and read a book, picnic with friends or just relax in. At the upper level of the park, near the fountain is a Starbucks too.

Beautiful gem in the middle of LA. The vegetation here is stunning and there is such a wide range of trees, shrubs, and succulents; especially pretty to those from different climates (ie. Canada since we don’t have succulents or palm trees!).

On 06/24/2021, walked through the Grand Park and see a magnificent waterfall fountain. Walked to the Walt Disney Concert Hall just across the street, two Covid-19 vaccines were provided for free. After walking a few steps, many volunteers wearing red T-shirts were ready for help, and the big bus parked on the left as a vaccine clinic is ready for anyone to get a shot. You can see a $1 billion The Grand LA is being built. Thank the Los Angeles County and City Government for providing a convenient service platform for angelenos to receive the vaccinate. Compilmentary coffee from Starbucks and lunch are provided, plus a few gifts.

I went to the Gloria Molina Grand Park in Los Angeles. To attend the venue that hosted EDM. The venue comfortably accommodated the attendees. I mainly went to listen to Boris Brejcha, but all the DJs were great. The music and light shows were awesome, especially with the Los Angeles City Hall in the background. It was a good night with great music under the stars. There is plenty of room for concession stands and restrooms. I felt comfortable, and security was present throughout the venue. I paid $10 at a parking structure next to the venue. It was easy in and easy out.

I'm guessing people who work downtown use this multi-level park to take a break from the office or for lunch. The park has a great view of City Hall and it's set up like no other city park I've stumbled upon. It has multi-levels that are divided by city streets. You walk up the stairs, cross the street and then walk into another section of the park. This continues until the top section where there's a nice fountain. Great spot for photos with the fountain and City Hall looming overhead. There's also a Metro station right between the sections. Lots of green areas to sit in. Not too crowded. Cool city park. It was such a great time there with my kids and husband.

I went on my bike and toured the entire park complex here on this day and it is a very nice place with a surrounding view inner downtown buildings surround this pace peaceful and secure to me the sheriff's patrol on foot here constantly for your security very pleasant place to have lunch read a book or just for a moment of peace This is the place definitely for it 👍

Nice place to chill and watch the world pass by. Campaigning groups setting up on a Saturday morning, all good natured. Live music too. Great for people watching.

The Great Park is very nice, the fountains that the park has are beautiful. You can come to spend the afternoon and a pleasant night, hey have a coffee stand to. You can also see the tower of the mayor's office from afar.

Our family recently reserved a picnic area at Gloria Molina Grand Park, and it was nothing short of perfect. The booking process was a breeze, and when we arrived, we were welcomed by clean and spacious picnic tables. The park's well-maintained facilities and the beautiful surroundings truly impressed us. It was an amazing value for the price, and our kids had a blast. We'll definitely be returning for more memorable picnics!

Cleaner than what it used to be. Great spot to take a walk and spend a nice afternoon, great for kids. Saw few homeless people around. Looks like city is doing a great job keeping the place clean.

I must say, with the disastrous homeless issue in Los Angeles, and with rising numbers annually even though we paid Garcetti 1.2 billion dollars to fix the homeless issue they managed to keep this park nice and clean.

It is an active space. The lower section closest to city hall is very sad. The grass was dry, but most of it was gone. In the section next to the courts, there was an event of a movie being played. The section closest to the music center had the "altars" for (día de los muertos) day of the dead. The top tier fountain was under repair.

Gloria Molina Grand Park is an absolute gem! The park's lush greenery, stunning views, and tranquil atmosphere make it a perfect urban oasis. The well-maintained trails are great for a leisurely stroll, and the playground is a hit with kids. Don't miss the breathtaking sunset from the park's lookout point. Highly recommend! 🌳🌇👌

One of my favorites places! It's absolutely stunning. I'm a photographer and it's one of my top places to shoot. Especially if you can find the pink lakes by the brine shrimp factory.

A great tiered park in downtown LA with open lawns and space for kids (and adults) to run around. The park as an events lawn across the street from the courthouse and a built-in concert stage up the hill to finally a water fountain complete with a splash pad for the kiddos. It's a nice scenic place to relax or enjoy a break to let your kids cool off. However, as with most of LA, there is a homeless population that you need to be aware of, especially with kids.

This place is amaze-balls. A huge nature park within the city. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just wanna relax, then just take a stroll through this park. Everything you can think of is here and you could spend all day just walking the expanse of this place. I love it!

Grand Park is a perfect model for what a park in the middle of a city should be. It has something for everyone, from fountain to playgrounds to picnic spots to Starbucks, and is surprisingly peaceful for it's location. And, the view of city hall from the fountains is beautiful

The beauty of this park is wonderful. This park is split in half by Broadway. The lower part of the park faces the city hall. This is a great area to stage parades, Sally's and what not.

Great place to spend the afternoon! It’s got abundant seating area and has a peaceful atmosphere. It’s well kept and having the Starbucks nearby makes it for a good place for hanging out or just spending time.

Park is beautiful well maintained. Kids section is gated and has only one big slide and some climbing obstacles. There's a parking garage underneath Grand Park $20 max, but $3 or $4 every 15 mins (not too sure).

  • 5/5 Johnny R. 2 years ago on Google
Love this park. Especially enjoy when the park has special set ups during certain holidays and my lil one enjoys splashing in the water. It's a very beautiful place for a walk or working out and I love to have picnics here and see all the cute pets being walked around. It's very near little Tokyo, City Hall and a short walk from Grand Central Market, Angel's flight and other LA hot spots.

Best Fourth of July on record. Everyone was harmonizing in peace and vibing together. The fireworks show was being done with awesome music in the background and the crowd of at least 30,000 people left in an orderly fashion without incident. Traffic jams were non existent and free parking on the street.

November 1, 2022 Day of the Dead altars. My first time going and it was nice and emotional. Yet, I think that need it more altars for our community to see more of the culture and to remember all those people that had die in war, covid ,cancer ,aids, abused and racism. Just a reminder of all those people not forgotten by families and friends . I hope that with the years to come we also see other ethnicity to share there pictures or altars of there love ones.
