It's about freaking time they did something about the homeless. It looks so much nicer and you can finally see the green grass and also the nasty smell is gone. They still have a fence bordered all around the park so it only has a few entrances to the park. You can finally ride the swan boats but I hear you need to reserve a spot online. It's a great area to jog, take a walk with ur dogs, and fishing is allowed. I don't much about parking but its mostly outside and can be difficult to find a spot for anyone coming with a car.

Our experience was good, not right? We had trouble with our first boat. It didn't work, nor did it Stir. We went back for a second time. They gave us another boat that also didn't work and didn't steer. So we had to get another one🤦‍♂️🙏

Echo Park is one of the places from my childhood that brings back such wonderful memories. I had the pleasure of visiting with my wife who also spent time here as a child. The park is still an attraction for families, couples, and those looking to get some fresh air. There are food vendors serving up delicious Sonora dogs, tacos, and various desserts and snacks. There is also a coffee shop that has delicious warm drinks and excellent coffee for those cold evening walks. The swan boat ride is a huge attraction and was so much fun and also romantic. We can't wait to come back with our dog Coco.

Loved this park. I would love to see an updated fence around it. Easy walk around it and the water plants are something that you don't see in a lot of places around Los Angeles.

Echo park is beautiful. The scenery of the LA skyline behind mixed with the plants and lake makes Echo park a chill place to recharge after a heavy day. If you ever want to jog or walk your dog Echo park is the place for you.

I walk this beast early she's not friendly. I want tell the lady with the two small dogs that my time is as precious as yours you can't stand in the middle of the walk way on your phone when I'm trying to get by with a 90 pound pitbull! I waited and waited for you to pass. Seriously...

Park looks great in 2021 after the reopening! Still fenced up, with a couple of entrances. Abundant nature, tranquility in the middle of the city 🥰

Coming down here last Saturday for Lotus Festival 2022. It was really big park with Lake where you can rent the Swan boat. Unfortunately you need to book ahead of time. There's celebration of Asian Pacific Cultures with entertainment and attractions. This Echo Park scenic is overview the downtown LA. Which is really nice and cool to see it from here.

The city has done a ton of work since I was last year about 3 or 4 years ago. The park doesn't have any fences on it, so technically it's open 24/7. What's really beautiful about this park is that there is no such thing as a bad angle for taking a photo. Everything about this park is beautiful. The boathouse also has a little cafe attached, but the prices are expensive to say the least. If you do go, I highly encourage bringing cash. The park is itself from roundabout 1935, and the architecture around the Park is all over the place including a staircase on the north side from around about the same time, to modern churches and apartment complexes. Bring water and snacks. Try to pee before you come here, the bathrooms aren't always the best.

Fusion of landscapes in the city. Interesting contrasts.

  • 4/5 Paul C. 2 years ago on Google
I liked the lake but I originally thought it was more of a large park with a lake than a large lake with a small park around it. Just wished for more greens, personally. The walkway around the lake was quite nice. The crude fence around the park could use an upgrade as I think it takes away from the charm of the place.

This place is perfect for almost everything. Great place for kids and family gatherings. Perfect place to work out with the outdoor gym . A wonderful swan pond/lagoon. I am anxious to paddle on the water myself . It’s a beautiful place for photo shoots. A romantic place to walk and talk /sit. The sunset is gorgeous it enhances the skyline from a different perspective.

During my visit to Echo Park, I had an incredible experience renting a pedal board with my son. Echo Park Lake provided the perfect setting for some fun and adventure on the water. The pedal board allowed us to explore the serene lake at our own pace, enjoying the stunning views and bonding over shared moments. It was a fantastic activity that brought us closer together while enjoying the beauty of Echo Park. I highly recommend renting a pedal board at Echo Park for an unforgettable and enjoyable experience that the whole family can cherish.

Decent place to relax! It’s even not crowded on weekends and it’s okay to book the boat after getting there. Not a large place but so much fun and comfortable to spend time there! FYI bring more snacks bc you may also wanna share with the cute ducks there!

I liked this park. They didn't seem to be remodeling anything anymore, but the fencing was still up. You can also rent swan-shaped paddle boats on the lake. Be warned however, that due to covid, reservations must be made a few hours ahead.

It's a lovely park. So many different species of birds to watch as you pass through the park. The only thing that's missing though is the homeless people. They shouldn't have been kicked out of the park. LA is in a food crisis. FREE ECHO PARK!!

About a mile loop surrounding water with a fountain in the center. A great place to not feed the water fowl, but to ride the swan boats instead. Take a loop around and spot the turtles. Bike racks, bathrooms dispersed. A playground and benches as well. It is dog friendly, street parking.

Here for the main attraction of this park... the afroducks!! I see this pair everytime I visit at the same location. This park has been a little overgrown plant-wise in some parts though

Echo Park is an excellent public park. For some reason, it's surrounded by a chain link fence. I'm not sure why it's there since there's no fee for entering the park. The fence limits access to the park. Thinking about it, the only thing that makes any sense is that the park is entirely below street level. I suppose that entering the park on a steeply sloping lawn could lead to slips, falls, and lawsuits against the city. The fence allows free access to an area where there's a ramp. The park has areas for playing and a very scenic lake, doubtless artificial, with lots of ducks. There are paddle boats in the shape of swans. They cost money to rent. There's also a nice little cafe with inside and outside seating. I recommend Echo Park.

Parking: free, lots of spots but it took me 30 minutes to find a spot. There is paid Parking in LADOT lot close by. The park itself is nice, but surrounded in fences to keep homeless out at night. The people there are something else. You can rent a foot powered boat. Lots of vendors around the park.

We had a fun time here in the evening with the swan boat rides. I ready did a review there. Get there on time. We did get there late but still had a chance to get out on the water and do a few laps. Others seemed to just sit and look into the distance.

  • 5/5 Tiffany M. 1 year ago on Google
On the approach to the park it seems to be a bit dirty. However once you get to the park it is a nice place. The bathrooms are not clean. However the Swan boat ride on the park was fun and peaceful.

A beautiful, accessible, safe public space -- a peak experience in terms of nature in the heart of a major urban area, with vintage Angeleno infrastructure (the staircases and cute little nooks in the retaining walls), a great balance of landscaping & flora growing at will, and satisfying views of DTLA. It's open late enough that you can go for a little romantic perambulation after the coffee shop closes or you've had a drink at the bar, but is well lit and -attended enough that you don't need to unreasonably fear getting mugged. During the day it's a constant social hour, with sunbathers, exercisers, and people hanging out alike. After I had minor surgery, my specialist and physical therapist both recommended I travel from a nearby neighborhood to walk around the lake at least once a week. Am pretty well healed by now and still do that just for the sheer enjoyment of it. The fountains and swan boats are like sprinkles and a cherry on top.

Hate around it and street vendors made it hard to see what was going on side of park. Once we walked over, the vendor food was great and park he some characters, but also a decent playground with several families around. the waterfront was nice with the heat and pretty vibrant with a good stream of people on asking through.

  • 5/5 Katherine W. 1 year ago on Google
I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, new'ish-looking walkways and lighting (don't know when these were installed) and the sunny vibe! I came here for a covid test, hoping it'd be safe enough to walk my dogs after, at 9am. Nothing to fear. The garbage cans were even freshly emptied by the nice groundskeeper in his little truck. People were friendly, lots of joggers, a number of other dogs, all on leash.
