One of the most beautiful parks in Los Angeles! We finally decided to check this place out after talking about it for months (we recently moved to the area). There are beautiful panoramic views of all of LA - downtown with the white capped mountains in the back, the ocean, Hollywood sign and more. Such a special place. There are play grounds, picnic areas, fitness equipment, lakes, ducks, fishing and more. This park is awesome - so plan a day to picnic, relax, hike, or take some breathtaking photos on a day right after a rain. The views won’t quit! Also you can hike the Culver City stairs and walk over the bridge to access the park. That or park on premise but you have to pay for parking which is only $7. Well worth it to support a park like this!

Beautiful park. There are plenty of picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms. There are some water streams, a lake with some geese. Really good area to relax and spend some time. The entry costs 7$ (2023).

AMAZING GETAWAY. This beautiful park offers many activities for the family to enjoy: from picnic tables and grills to children's play areas and sports areas. It's a dog-friendly park and you can walk your dog along the many paths around. It's an excellent choice and highly recommended to have a fun day off.

A generally overlooked gem in the CA state park system. Free Monday through Friday but CASH ONLY on weekends and holidays. WONDERFUL grounds with multiple hiking trails, ponds, playgrounds, and even a disc golf course. I was able to visit in early January and saw turtles and tons of waterfowl. It was fantastic. It’s huge but can get very popular in the weekends. If you drive to the top of the bowl, you can see almost all of LA. Bonus points for being able to WALK via bridge to the Culver steps. Kenneth Hahn is a wonderful place for any type of visit.

Great way to spend the day with family and friends enjoying the beautiful scenery. My Son and I come out here every other week. We enjoy the trails up in the hills and the ponds with the ducks and turtles.

Decided to go to the park on a whim since the sun was finally out. What a park too, it was peaceful and calm even with plenty of people around. There was plenty of wildlife as well (be careful of the gopher snakes near the tall dry grass) and even some goslings out and about. Beautiful space to relax and picnic in. We really only spent time at one of the ponds but in the future might hike up and see the waterfall 😄

Beautiful park within the city. Wildlife preserved, walking trails, clean restrooms, nice lake to fish, picnic areas and beautiful scenery, ducks, birds fish, you name it. This park also offers themed areas to represent different cultural outdoor experiences. You'll enjoy your visit and look forward to seeing what else you can discover in the park.

You have to pay $7 to enter on the weekend, which isn’t too much, but if you want to enjoy the outdoors with family or your pets, there are plenty of other nice parks with no entrance fee. Apart from that, once you enter there is plenty of parking and a lot of space to settle down whether you want a private table or just a spot on the grass. There are gorgeous views of downtown and west LA, which is my favorite thing about this park. I see people come here for picnics, birthday parties, biking, and running.

Very big & cute park! It’s dog friendly a scenic in both the nature & city way. The Japanese Garden is real cute and you can see the little turtles swimming around. On a hot day, the hike up is a bit more strenuous than you’d expect, but not too bad-bring water for the trail. On the lower level near the water there were a series of tents, I believe they were having a family camping event. Nice to see they are community oriented! Parking was free for a weekday (Friday)

This was my first time visiting, but boy did I enjoy myself. Me and my baby"GRANDS" took a walk through the trail to the restrooms which were clean(by the way). We participated with WalkGoodLA yoga event on the freshly manicured grass under the fully, blossoming trees... There is a cozy sitting area around a small, quaint pond with ducks for your nature pleasure.

Great place to get away and take a walk. Enjoy the trails, the stream, the views and the fresh air.... You can even fish on the pond while you enjoy the ducks quacking around... Hope you all enjoy it as my family and I enjoy it every time we come here.

If you want to feel nature close to you there's a place in LA where you can go and feeling this way ✨. There's a homing bird garden where all the birds can drink water and get some food. There's a beautiful view and everything is free. A good place to work out and breath . You can let it go all your worries 😟 and be calm again.

Beautiful park with plenty of trees and a really nice big lake. This was a nice park to walk around and enjoy nature. There are also great overlooks of downtown LA from the park. I'd recommend spending at least a couple of hours here or maybe even bring a book and sit by the lake and relax.

You have to see it to believe it! A huge park space, relatively speaking for a park within LA. Most local parks can be seen from the entrance parking lot, whereas this one would take all day to walk around to see and experience, much less drive to the different parking lots and look around like separate parks in one! This park has it all, from parking, picnic areas, scenic pond with walks and waterfowl, sports fields and courts, fitness court, disc golf, playgrounds, hiking trails, view-spots, restrooms and a visitors center! I’ve been impressed with the awesome nature of this place, as it is a respite from the crowded urban world below, all without having to leave the city! As of this posting, there’s no admission charge per vehicle for weekday parking, though there’s a $7.00 charge for the weekends.

A few friends and I hike around most of the park. We experienced the trails, rolled down the hill near the Dr. Martin Luther King monument and enjoy the duck pond. Sometimes there's yoga and workout classes in the park as well. But don't forget to donate to them because some are non-profit organizations who do a wonderful job and putting together beautiful events. They're very kind and nice. It's a wonderful place to take your family friends or just enjoy your personal time. Time to relax and reflect. Work out an energize your body and thing and that comes to mind.

I am happy visiting this park, I was not thought my family enjoyed this much. There are few trails. I took water fall trail and bridge trail with my family. You have to pay entry fee of $7 at main gate of park rest areas included ( Including Doris Japanese Garden, view point) This park have artificial water falls, picnic areas, kids play area. I and my family enjoyed this park more than we thought.

Another good find for hiking. We wouldn't have found this place if it weren't for the Pandemic. Rather than been cooped up at home with locked down, we would constantly look for open places where we can hike and walk around and still maintaining distance from other people. Kenneth Hahn Recreation Park is one of our surprise finds. We have passed by this place many times and didn't realize there is a huge park on La Cienega Blvd on the way to the airport. Once you drove passed the gate, we can see a few huge park lots in the park. A large pond and a beautiful river stream welcome the visitors right across from parking. Surrounding the soothing streams, a well maintained Japanese garden is there to provide picnic and play ground for the whole family. At the end of the stream, there is a fantastic mini waterfall. It's a such picturesque scene. I took a lot of photos here. After parking the car, you can hike up to the top of the hill to get some exercises. The hike is moderate. If you don't want to hike, there are also parking spots up on the top of the hill. Once on the top, the view is amazing. Here, you can have a panoramic of LA, from downtown LA to the Hollywood sign and to the beaches. On a clear day, you can take very nice pictures of the downtown skyline. But today, it was a bit hazy, pictures didn't come out that well. After taking the pictures of downtown LA, we had a picture on the top of the hill where there are many picnic benches are provided. Such a nice way to spend a day!

Huge park in the hills. Good place to walk and get great views. There is small playground and a picnic area in the middle of the park. You can walk to there or get by car from the other side access. The playgound is good for kids. There is also another area down this park that you can visit. There, there is another parking lot, but you have to pay 10 dollars for the day. There are areas for picnic and barbecue too. Enjoy!

Great park. Lots of different areas to explore. Lots of wildlife to see from sparrows, snakes, squirrels and gophers. Awesome trails to hike. Always well kept. Get there early to avoid a line at the gate. They do offer bbq grills and well taken care of bathrooms Free on weekdays $7 per car on weekends

This is an absolutely gorgeous place with plenty of things to do. We came on a Sunday so parking was $7 for the day. Completely worth the cost of exploring without graffiti everywhere. While we were parked, jeeps marked with Breast cancer awareness designs pulled through and parked. I couldn’t help but ask about it. If you’re in this area look up sisters with Jeeps. The whole day is an experience I’ll never forget!

Easily my favorite place to talk a walk or hike with my family and dog. Try to go at least 4 times a week. Parking is free during the week and it's open sunrise to sunset. It's especially nice during springtime when all the wildflowers are in bloom. Just a beautiful place in the middle of the city

This state park is great for easy to moderate hiking. The most challenging leg of the hike was getting to the entrance at the Eastern Gate. I was visiting my son, who lives nearby, right next to Jim Gilliam Park, not even a mile away from the entrance. The easy way to walk there would be to walk up straight up La Cienega Blvd, but there is very little shoulder on the road with fast moving traffic, making it unsafe to travel up there by foot. The only other way, from where we were, to get there is challenging. I'm in pretty good shape for 64, so I considered the steep, hilly roads through the Baldwin Hills neighborhood to be a strong, solid cardio and leg workout! The main walking paths are well marked with small, dusty gravel. I loved the exercise equipment along the walkways. (Although I did not partake!) There's a charming area dedicated to hummingbirds! It's nicely maintained, dozens of feeders, freshly filled. A bazillion tiny hummingbirds fluttering around and singing those cute little hummingbird songs was an unexpected surprise. The brush is not lush and green like some other trails, but more dusty and dry. The views are great but not as amazing as other hikes I've taken through Griffith Park or to the Hollywood sign, or the Getty. The lack of crowds makes up all that, though. It's a quiet park, or at least it was on the day we were there. The park is HUGE, I only saw a tiny area. I would definitely visit again to explore other trails. Rather than walk down the hills to get back, we caught a bus, right at the trail head. It was a great afternoon, highly recommended!

Perfect place to come and spend some one-on-one time with nature. Easy hiking trails for families and the adventurous soul who wants to venture on the beaten path. The park has an extensive trail system that's quite hilly in most sections with beautiful foliage along the way.

A lovely lovely park so close to Culver City and free entry on weekdays. Perfect for a day to just relax and read a book or go for a walk around the park. Very well maintained with a pond and a small gushing waterfall with plenty of picnic tables and shelters, some running tracks and hiking trail tracks as well. Great to spend a day for a fun time to be with nature and easy to get outside.

There are 22 picnic table areas, 11 of which can be reserved in advance. We went to a birthday party at one of the unreserved tables. It was a wonderful setup, near a great playground, surrounded by lots of other families having a great time. The park is much larger than I expected, there's a lake, wonderful walking trails, and great views of downtown LA.

Beautiful park with lots of space, light trails, clean restrooms, playgrounds, a pond, a fair amount of shade. Needs more parking spots, tho. Or not? Wouldn't want this place getting too crowded. But seeing as how it's not close to anything else, parking is indeed limited.

Been coming here since I was a kid and absolutely love it. The main entrance is on La Cienga but you have to pay $6 on the weekends. You can enter via the Eastern gate on La Brea, just park on the adjacent street. There are several different routes you can take throughout the park and you can check out the beautiful Japanese Garden, the Humming Bird Garden, the lake, take the kids to the apparatus, or walk around the Bowl Loop. The Loop is .8 miles so a few laps is a great work out. If you don't want to make the drive to Griffith Park or the Verdugo Mountains for a hike, I recommend checking out the Western Ridgeline Trail to get that nature feel.

This was a lovely experience. Good trails for mountain biking if you choose to take the trail up the mountain for views. You can see the Hollywood sign from afar. If you don’t want to hike the trail You can enjoy playing frisbee on the field or just walk around the loop at the park. I originally came here by foot from a trail loop starting at Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook- which was a fun little adventure. It takes you over a newly built bridge crossing the highway to the Japanese Garden and a waterfall close-by which ironically doesn’t have any water lately. That was on accident, I came back the next day using my GPS and parked in the parking lot- $6 on the weekend.

I used to live in LA for over 20 years and never took advantage of all thr connected trails and it leads to the Culver City steps. You can hike for days here. I took a 9 mile trail loop and it could have gone on further with all of the side trails. It was strangely overcast but it made it so much better for the workout not for the view. I would highly recommend and I will do it again.

👍👍 To get a vantage view of downtown LA, this is the location. The best time to take a photo of DTLA skyline is during the golden and blue hours on a clear day, especially after a raining day when the sky is clear. When the full moon comes out, the photo with DTLA skyline in the foreground is the most...
