One of the best hiking trails in Los Angeles! Unfortunately, rapacious developer Mohamed Hadid (yes, Bella and Gigi's father) is trying to get it closed to hikers! We cannot allow this to happen!

Free parking with some accessibility spaces, bathrooms (sometimes out of order), a pretty park at the bottom of the canyon, and an entire canyon super close to heavily-populated areas that makes you feel you’re out in the middle of nowhere! There really isn’t much to dislike about this place. Franklin Canyon is super cool and worth checking out - especially this place since it’s free to visit! Do keep in mind this is a canyon, and when it rains it can easily flood (as shown in some of my pictures). Be observant, and if the water starts rising on the road, turn around and head back! On a sunny day, enjoy the beautiful scenery!!

Decent. It’s good to get your feet on dirt in the midst of the LA bustle. The trails need to be better maintained.

Really easy trail, could do with your family! Free parking and it’s a pretty quiet area. Also has a nice picnic area at the start - toilets are pretty good too!

It's a good short pump of a hike. About 2.5 mile around, or about 4 if you just do the main trail in and out. Nice view at the top. NO SHADE! Bring sunscreen or long sleeves. Only 4 stars because unless you're done by ~9am, it starts getting very busy.

Nice and pretty trail. Takes less than an hour to finish the trail. Great for taking a walk away from the city.

Great quick local hike. Not usually too crowded during the week. Slightly more crowded on weekends, as expected. Fellow hikers are respectful and offer a friendly smile. There are also some great side trails to explore. It's really a shame that the developers are destroying the top of the trail. I've been hiking this trail for well over a decade and the peaceful natural wonder just keeps getting eroded away more and more. It's one of of the few remaining places in the area where we can get away from the chaos of the city for a few minutes. What a shame.

Perfect hidden gem for local hikers, many trails & shades, nice lake, beautiful pond full of turtles, koi fish, and ducks, in the middle of Beverly Hills!

Excellent place to hike. Several beginner and intermediate trails to choose from, including a small and a larger lake you can walk around. Highly recommend this place.

Great park for hiking in an urban environment. Every now and then you can see Century City or greater Los Angeles peek through from higher elevations and there are of course "mountain top" mansions on the ridge lines of surrounding higher hills. The park is just north of the Beverly Hills area.

One of my favorite hikes. Like a 3 or 4 out if 10 for difficulty

Amazing trails with such fantastic views and pure beauty, surrounded by a peaceful lake filled with turtles, koi fish, ducks... The trails are not too difficult. A plus is there is a lot of shade throughout the trail! Plus lots of picnic spots! Highly recommend!

Hide your belongings and lock your car, window smashed today and purse was stolen. No cell towers for service in an emergency and no signs posted about protecting belongings.

The Beverly Hills Karens have made it extremely difficult to access this public land. Will update my review when I achieve my goal of actually getting inside.
