Excellent dog park for first time visit. Parking was ample and the grounds were well maintained. Friendly dog owners and dogs. Excellent overall experience.

It’s a nice dog park to go to, with a very large area for larger dogs and a smaller fenced area for smaller ones. Not much greenery, but plenty of space for the doggies to run around, lots of tennis balls lying around to play with. There are a couple of water fountains with hoses attached. Overall a good place to let your doggy loose to play around.

I love this dog park. There are shady spots, but just one that your darker dogs may get overheated on a hot day! There are tennis balls everywhere and lots of room to run!

Not my favorite park but certainly a good one. The dogs love it because it's huge. Lots of places to sit and relax but so many dog's around so I must be on my toes in case a mean dog is there. My pack stick together by me, but that won't detour a mean dog from coming over. I still enjoy when I go.

Ooh, how much do I love this place. My dog Coco and I would come everyday when she was here. She's gone now, but I see her here every time I come. It is THE BEST DOG PARK! Bring your dogs 🐕 They will have the time of their lives here. You will get dirty. Your dog will get dirty. Do not bring food here. Bring kids to see just how dogs act when they are around other dogs. If the kids run, they will be chased by the dogs, so don't run! Now that most of the bushes have been cut back, there are fewer fleas and ticks here: its a dog park. It is surrounded by Coyotes and Mountain Lions; yes. This ain't Kansas. Its a great place.

This dog park is a nice size for my little guy to run around and get all his energy out. It’s all dirt, so expect your pup to get a little dusty. Also, there isn’t much shade, but there are a few trees they’ve recently planted, which will help in the years to come. Typically the dog owners here are responsible, but I have seen a few dogs be a little aggressive. That being said, always keep an eye on your dog and be aware of other dogs.

Really large open area for dogs to run and play. They have water stations and plenty of bench seating. Dogs and people were friendly! Overheard someone mention it’s perfect to go a day or couple of days after a rain so it’s not so dusty, which is when I ended up being there, and it was great.

Best dog bark in the city. Lots of room friendly people. Everybody's dressed for the dog park not for dinner 🤣

Really nice space in the middle of the LA craziness to get away and enjoy nature. Big open area for doggos to run free off leash. Also small dog area if you want to use it. Plenty of areas to sit and also a lot of parking. Porta potties if you need to use them.

Fun fenced area with lots of dogs. Unfortunately commercial dog walkers bring large packs here. Fights frequently break out because too many dogs crowd each other. I used to like it but I don't like it so much anymore. Sometimes it's okay later in the evening, when the dog walkers with the big packs aren't there.

Wonderful dog park. Easy parking. Water bowls are provided. Tons of tennis balls to play with. There's also a playground for children to play in.

Nice people, great dogs. My doggie had a blast!

  • 4/5 Ryan B. 4 years ago on Google
Larger fenced running area is nice, however not much grass to be found around. Multiple water stations around are suitable for the large number of dogs usually there during the day.

Lots of space for running around. Only problem and it is has been a reoccurring issue is the dog walkers there. I moved to Mulholland 7 months ago and have been going here every so often and now only go in the early evenings to avoid the daytime dog walkers. During the daytime you will encounter numerous large groups of dog walkers that are very judgmental and self-righteous. They think this park is theirs and it makes my experience with my dog unenjoyable.

Fun dog park with great mix of dogs and people. Tons of space for puppy play time and a few spots of shade for humans. Stella's tail was wagging so we will definitely be back.

This is one of my go to dog parks. Nice and fairly busy. There are water spouts and bowls readily available. The park is huge and there is plenty of parking. Enjoy !

Huge big dog side too bad i don't have my boy shadow anymore he would've loved the huge running space they have now i have a Yorkie so we are on the small dog side now but plenty of space either way

I've been going here for 10 years. Its a very clean park. Watch your dog like a hawk though. And monitor everything. There was a rattlesnake here a few years back. As well as some freak who had opened up all the doors and a dog was lost. People in general are cool there but sometimes you get a bad apple. So you just have to be aware with your dog.

Haven't been here for years. Took my son's dog here while my son was away. Huge park, cool dogs, very safe

A very good place to take your dog to run free. The area is fenced and leashes are not required. This flat, dirt field in the canyon can get pretty hot in the summer so plan accordingly. There are porta-potties there if needed but the park is somewhat primitive, quite nice in a dog's opinion. 😛

  • 5/5 MHRLA 1 year ago on Google
The dogs and people are friendly. There’s plenty of space everyone! However shade is pretty minimal. The parking area and lot is usually not too full. Enjoy!

  • 5/5 Alex P. 1 year ago on Google
Two fenced-off areas - big dog area is very big for an LA dog park, small dog area is tiny. Mostly sandy dirt, not a lot of shade. Dogs were all very chill when we were there.

I wish I could give this dog "park" a 0 star rating. It's less of a dog park and more of a dog dirt pile. Seriously, no grass at all, mostly hard packed dirt. Whole place has a gross "dog prison yard" vibe. I don't know what happened but it looks like it might have been covered with grass but then someone wanted to film a post apocalyptic scene here, ripped out the grass, made it look stark and dead (surprisingly like most of Las Vegas) and it just stayed that way. If I wanted to reminisce about North Las Vegas, I'd come to this dog "park", but I don't, so there's that...

They have recently graded the entire area, getting rid of a lot of the potholes and large rocks. They also added another concrete pad and seating that connects to the concrete ramp from the parking lot. This is great for people who have difficulty walking over uneven surfaces. One of the watering areas also now has a dog bath.

Come with your dog and enjoy watching them have an amazing time running around in a wide open space with other dogs. There’s water and plenty of places to sit and shade cover.

  • 5/5 Glen C. 1 year ago on Google
Gigantic space for dogs to run around. It is so gigantic that you must watch your dogs demeanor. Is she nervous because of all the other dogs? Is she nervous because of that open space? Is she having a good time? That kind of stuff. She has a problem with another dog you can just walk over to the other side of the park and just keep on playing. there’s not a lot of shade here, but there’s a lot of water from three faucets.

  • 4/5 Juanita H. 5 months ago on Google
Too many dogs at certain times of the day, because dog-walkers bring all their charges, so the ratio of person to dog not good. Other than that great park.

  • 4/5 Eric 3 months ago on Google New
This park would receive a full five stars, if it were not for the massive dog baby sitting groups that will take over benches and set up camp for hours. There’s always plenty of parking and never too busy

The one thing that I remember from coming here is the breathtaking view of Los Angeles CA.. Not only is there a view, the sun comes out. If you're a first timer to Laurel Canyon Dog Park, then you might be surprised at the randomness of things that happen there. Different kinds of dogs everywhere. Different kinds of people everywhere. Doing different things. But hey, it's SF. Whats not to love about dogs and people?

I've been on this trail many a time, mostly because it's a convenient five minute drive or ten minute walk from my Girlfriends place. And as far as hiking trails go it's got the basics, decent distance, decent incline.

Just great for my long-legged pupper! Lots of space to run & also be independent if he's not feeling social. Most everyone is friendly. A few oddballs that come to play only with their dog & won't let them socialize; or don't have them fixed; or bring small children into the dog area. A few too many dog walkers who can't keep up with all the dogs they bring & they keep unpredictable hours too; they used to leave by the afternoon to give owners a chance to watch their own dogs. I really wish they would put up some lights for evening use, but I understand it's in the canyon so there's probably some wildlife that wouldn't appreciate that. I also wish they would section it off & let the grass grow back. Some of the old-timers say it used to be grassy. :( Parking is always a breeze, though.

Nice big open space and nearly all dogs present seemed well behaved. Our smallish poodle mix enjoys running around the big dog section. Far better than the Sepulveda basin dog park!

There's a reason that Dolores is one of the most popular destinations for locals and tourists alike! Great small patch of grass in the crowded mission district for people to lay out, have picnics, throw a celebration, and my favorite, take in the view of the SF skyline. Make sure to check out all the vendors walking around selling coconuts, popsicles, bakes goods, etc. If it's a sunny weekend, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this spot to read a book because it does get loud and crowded.

  • 5/5 Jill M. 3 years ago on Google
Friendly dogs friendly people, they even have a porta potty in the parking lot but otherwise no human services. They do have trash cans and water fountains for dogs inside the park. Ample parking.

  • 5/5 Jack F. 3 years ago on Google
Has parking. Large. Small and large dog sections. Pretty nice.

  • 3/5 Rohan S. 3 years ago on Google
Good place. But then there’s people who bring non neutered dogs when LA county law clearly prohibits unfixed dogs in the park. The locals are great and follow the rules and just general common sense. But then you see people from other places bring their dogs with no regard towards other dogs and owners.

Parking gets a little cramped since it is street parking mostly, entrance isn't hard to find, and there are multiple trails to take. Whether you want to explore and find the hidden gems of this hike or to just get a good workout in, this is a good choice! None of the trails were too difficult. All different kinds of people enjoying these trails.

Never too crowded, owners usually do a pretty good job of controlling their dogs. Definitely a lot of larger dogs but I have a little chihuahua and he's always been comfortable here.

Huge park with tons of dogs that no one is actually watching. Lots of dog walkers letting their charges loose. Dangerous and irresponsible. Would never recommend

Is good to walked your dog there but at night I would lock my doors because there are lots of homeless living in the park who might try to open your doors, when I'm driving into the park I always lock my doors just in case

  • 3/5 Jennifer K. 3 years ago on Google
This place is a huge fenced area which is amazing, but it is all dirt with the exception of a small trees planted sporadically in the center. It gets hot in the summer and fall months but there are a bunch of water fountains, bowls, and even a little pool placed around the park so your pup always has quick access to water.

  • 4/5 Vasilisa R. 3 years ago on Google
Dusty, but pretty big. Has an isolated area for fearful and timid dogs.

  • 5/5 Ejay M. 3 years ago on Google
Friendly atmosphere, and there's plenty of areas with shade.

This off leash dog park is the best. My pup absolutely loves this park. Every time we come to this park, we are met with friendly dogs and their well mannered human companions. People pick up after their dogs, seem friendly and always supervise their pups while at play. Unlike other dog parks, this park is green, shady, and large. If you are looking for a safe and non stressful environment, this park is for you.

  • 4/5 Michelle H. 3 years ago on Google
This is such a nice large area where my dog loves to run and play with her doggie friends. But we come here only once a month before my dog gets her bath. I really wish there was more grass so that my dog would not get all dirty. If there were grass, I'd go every day.
