Mixed experience here. When you enter the parking lot it doesn't seem like much, but there is a really nice outdoor seating area with a fire table. A lot of outdoors green plant and easy atmosphere. Indoor is open and nice as well. The menu had lots of selections of vegan veggie choices. The server was nice. After our order things went south. We ordered an appetizer and 2 drinks. ( drinks are smoothie types) For the price point the appetizer was just ok. ( menu is pricey) but the drinks never came. Other people deliver the food and drink but the server never checked back in on us. Since our time was limited I got up canceled our drinks and asked the server visiting with his Co worker for the check. I am on the fence about visiting again.

Love meat and didn’t miss it one bit! Came here three nights in a row, it was that good. Friendly place for a solo diner with really nice outdoor space, great wines (they have one choice for each type but they are very well selected), fun music and food that will charm its way into your meat lovin’ heart.

A lovely outdoor patio, festively decorated with nature. The dishes were delicious, but the shakes and desserts were divine. Someone vegan told me he didn't know about this restaurant. My reply: It is like the Vegan Church of all things holy & delicious *nondenominational *maybe not even spiritual, idk *I would go religiously, though

The food is always great here, my only regret is not switching tables to avoid the crass drunk friend of the owner excessively loud yell "talking" the entire time which basically distracted me from the true dining experience that I know Sun Cafe is. I only have myself to blame, but so grateful this place still exists and provides a humane dining experience. The raspberry lemon cupcake for my birthday was divine!!

Food was tasty, healthy, and organic. Service was slow and patio needed to be swept, and fixtures could use a paint job. Overall pretty positive experience.

Vegan restaurant - not what I expected - in a good way! I chose to dine here as the menu sounded fresh and tasty but I didn’t realise it was completely vegan and I’m thankful for my oversight because all the food and drinks were fantastic, very tasty! I would absolutely return here and have already recommended it to a vegan friend.

The best vegan food I have had. Great flavours, I had the nachos followed by the pesto pizza it was so flavoursome 😍 Loved the date coffee milkshake - just so good. Small place with indoor / outdoor seating.

My friend chose this place tonight. Food was good, but $$$. We tried about everything on their Starter I and Starter II menu. Drinks were great. I had the Lavender Lemonade with Vodka. My friend had the Jalapeño Cucumber Vodka. They had parking - yay!!’

A friend and I had bought desserts only. The almond butter cheesecake is my favorite, rich and chocolatey.

Sun Cafe is the best vegan brunch place in the valley. Absolutely loved the goji/strawberry smoothie, especially since it’s served in a real glass with a straw made of hay! My mung bean omelette tasted fresh although the ‘’egg’’ seemed bland. The side of tempeh bacon was only $3 more and worth it. Giving this vegan restaurant 5 stars for ambiance, service & creative food/smoothies! 🅿️ Free private parking lot or street parking

Lovely patio, amazing good vegan food with lots of choices, and friendly but efficient service. The pumpkin shake is to die for and the chocolate raspberry cheesecake is way better than any regular dairy cheesecake I've had.

I and my partner visited this place right after our universal tour. This place beat all expectations. Great outdoor decoration, perfect for a date or otherwise. We ordered the crab cakes, daring pot pie and lasagne. All of these dishes were exceptionally tasty. The staff was warm and welcoming. I am vegan and visit a lot of vegan places in different cities. This one is easy one of the best. Kudos and thank you for the food and service. I hope to come back soon!

The service was great! We tried the truffle pizza, mini nachos, mini Mac and cheese, and the cacao nibs coffee milk shake. Everything was just brilliant. The pizza especially is a must try, and so is the milkshake. Definitely must try.

Suncafe is a great gem in the area. They have something for everywhere. Although it is a vegan place, we are always satisfied with what is offered. I especially love their desserts. I sometimes come just for the dessert. The servers here seem to have lots of practice with people asking a million questions. Sorry if I added to it! But, with plenty of parking and being right by the highway, they are a great stop.

We got the breakfast sandwich and the chicken pesto panini with some coffee. We had great service but the food was a bit too oily. Would deff come back for comfort food but was expecting a more healthy alternative!

We were looking for a vegan option during our visit to Universal Studios and landed on this gem. The food was on point and served with love. The ambience is also cozy so a perfect place to hangout with your loved ones.

This place is the whole package. Great outdoor seating with lots of greenery. Service is super nice and accommodating when it comes to allergies. The server didn't even have to ask anyone, she just knew what contained soy and didn't. The menu also captured that too. Felt so normal. Loved the Veggie Sushi options. Literally my favorite thing on the whole menu. I also had the breakfast burrito with beyond meat and just eggs. The mushrooms were well cooked and filling. One thing I really loved, as someone growing up in Maryland, they added Old Bay to the fries. Looking forward to coming back!

Nice place but the food is horrible, very unhealthy and expensive. The service is slow. We ordered bbq chicken pizza and it was just dough with tons of cheap barbecue sauce and almost no chicken, $24. Super salty. Then we ordered a slice of almond chocolate cheesecake that was even worse than the pizza, it was raw made with tons of sugars in the form of 1000 dates. When I got home, I was nauseous and had to drink ginger tea. Never again!! Not worth it and not recommended at all.

I actually worked at the Staples down the street a few years ago and got to print out the menus for this place! The owner is very kind, and the seasonal menu rotation keeps things feeling fresh. I finally got to sit down and eat here today! The food was incredible, the vibes were immaculate, and I would absolutely recommend this place for a chill Sunday brunch. The vegan food is delicious. Definitely recommend the mac and cheese because it’s very hearty :)

I love suncafe. The ambiance is so peaceful and feels like a little paradise. The desserts are wonderful. Food is delicious with a beautiful presentation. The avocado toast, pizzas, waffles, shakes etc it's all wonderful. They have parking which is convenient. The staff is friendly and professional. They are patient and make you feel welcome.

The food was top notch! I was not aware it was vegan till my husband mentioned it and it was still amazing! I'm not educated in vegan dietary since growing up in a Mexican household I always ate the traditional foods, so to find out vegan is healthy and can still taste amazing was great! The service here was great! A gentleman immediately greeted us and sat us in a booth and had water ready at the table. The place inside is very hipster feeling and dim but it makes it unique! The waitress was absolutely generous and kind and I loved how she help us out on what kind of nachos my husband and I were planning to get. I definitely would be coming back, probably during the week since it seems not to be busy plus the parking is extremely small and tight parking which was kinda hard for me since I'm pregnant and had to squeeze a little to get out and in.

Excellent vegan cheeses here on the dishes I’ve had! Highly recommend the tempeh Reuben sandwich - super flavorful and the cheese is amazing. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake was also delicious. The Caesar salad was ok and the lasagna was a bit disappointing due to the odd-tasting red sauce. I would not order those two again, but overall a really nice vegan spot! Will definitely be back for more desserts and the rueben!

Take out was disgustingly packed out. Sauce coming out of the container. All the food messed up and stacked on top of each other. Too much of that weird sauce. Maybe not take out…

Hidden gem! Taylor and Paul were very welcoming! Surprising larger than expected interior space in combination of elegant and cozy restoration. Wonderful vegan menu. An inviting belonging place you will want to visit often! Loved it both visits!

One the best organic and vegetarian /vegan places in LA! And it's not just the menu that's expansive, but also the dish designs. So while you may order something that arrives on a classic round plate, but then your buddy's food could be in a square, and maybe that side dish is an oval. Rectangle shaped? You betcha! Diamond? Yes, if you turn the square at an angle, yes! Dodecahedron? I don't know what that is. So many wonderfully shaped dishes you'll feels you're back in fourth grade learning about shapes! Yes, I learned my shapes in fourth grade, I went to school in Florida.

This is the first time I have visited SUN CAFE. What an amazing experience to eat lunch and share a sweet apple cobbler with my secret crush LUBA. Yes, she’s such a Cuttie pie. But if you guys want to go to a place hidden and secluded with amazing atmosphere then this is the place to go and eat some super delicious VEGAN FOOD. P.s I wanna make her my girlfriend xoxo

It's always a wonderful experience when I eat at Sun Cafe. I live 1hr away by the way. When I come to town I make it my business to visit. Today after my 4 mike hike at Griffith park I had to double back here fir breakfast. Gods service and love the outside seating area. Thank you Sun Cafe for your consistency

so this USED to be a stellar spot. the smoothies aren't what they used to be. weirdly too sweet, not a great flavor. that's of the *kale favorite. and I think I just paid $30 for the blandest poke bowl ever known to mankind. I pray for the white people in the kitchen to grown tastebuds, maybe take a course in cooking Pacific island/Asian food. my white friend saw the photos and balked. "no flavoring?!" it was like I was invited over to my friends' houses in 6th grade and found out why they all hate veggies, all over again. anyway best of luck! sadly no longer a fam fav
