This food was so authentic and nourishing! Truly felt like a home cooked meal and the energy of the staff and owner was so welcoming!! I have not had pózole in so long since I went plant based 3 years ago and this pozole was out of this world. 12/10. Not mention they use clean non gmo corn to prepare the handmade pupusas and pozole!

This place was phenomenal. The food was incredible, the service delightful, the cook was gracious, and the owner was a beautiful human being. Carlos served our very large group personally and then took much time out of his evening to share about the ethos of his establishment and history in the neighborhood. It was rich all around. Next time I'm in LA, I'm definitely going back.

We tried the potato taquitos, the pupusa with beans and loroco, and the yogurt fruit bowl. Everything is fresh and tastes delicious! Highly recommended.

Every once in a while, you come across a restaurant that reminds you of why food is so important. Un Solo Sol is an absolute hidden gem that serves a variety of dishes that nourish your soul and also teach a unique perspective on history. The mishmash of dishes ranging from South American to Indian may confuse you at first, but know that the flavors will be delicious! Items we recommend: the green pozole that’s so comforting, pupusa platter with herbaceous chipilin (heartier spinach) and beans, and the Indian kachumber salad with perfectly spiced tofu. End on a sweet note with the kheer almond milk rice porridge and don’t forget to try the hibiscus drink! Carlos, the owner, was lovely to speak with.

A long time East LA restaurant owned by a kind gentleman serving customizable healthy versions of international cuisines. Love the view of the downtown skyline from the sidewalk and free live concerts from across the street - Mariachi Plaza Metro subway station. Love the paintings which sums up nicely what this place is about.

Un Solo Sol is a very special place. The owner, Carlos, has a vision of a better world where humans respect the earth and share her gifts of love. We had taquitos, pupusas, pozole, and avocado toast. Everything was delicious, fresh, unprocessed, and perfectly seasoned. The pozole was the best vegan pozole I’ve ever tasted, and I tried several in Mexico City. If you’re ever in LA don’t miss the blessings of Un Solo Sol.

If you like vegan food this place is pretty great. I'm not vegan but found the enchiladas pretty tasty. My favorite dish was probably the guacamole (fresh and bright flavor). The owner was very kind and I wish his business all the success. It's quite spendy but that seems to be common in vegan establishments.

This place is a hidden gem. I FINALLY FOUND VEGAN PAZOLE 😍 MY HEART IS WHOLE. It was so amazing that even a meat eater was like wow this is good for so that should definitely say alot about this place. They really care here and the quality of ingredients used in the food really shows in the taste and I can't wait to go back. The food was so good I ate everything so fast I forgot to take pictures, lol oh well Next time for sure. P.S. I also adored the decor.

Omg I don't even know where to start. This place is just amazing. Please please visit it and support this local place. We need it to stay for many years to come. Everything is vegan and actually very healthy. Unlike other places that claim to be healthy this local place is actually one of the healthiest. They use organic, clean, fresh, and delicious ingredients, including healthy cooking oil, not toxic and inflammatory seed oils. I have tried many dishes and they have been nutritious, comforting, and delicious. My mom is an amazing hispanic cook, and I grew up with many of these dishes. She has competition now LOL! I tried their pupusas and they're the absolute best, fresh maize dough (masa), no lard, not greasy, no unhealthy and toxic vegan cheese, simply great. Also, their enchiladas are devine, they're fresh, great, and delicious. They make them to order and not to mentioned their tortillas are hand made, yum! I also tried their bfast tofu with cactus (nopales) and it was extraordinary. Deserts are also delicious! Also, the service here is delightful. The owner is very friendly, kind, funny, and caring. The ambiance is also pleasant, relaxing, and cozy. Please don't think it twice and give them a try, you won't regret it

10/10 Amazing food. Super unique dishes. Like try anything blindly and you’ll be satisfied! Plus plus it’s all vegan! And a legitimate small business. Very cute spot. Beautiful location. The owner works here (I admire that) and he is the sweetest man I have met in a very long time. An overall wonderful experience. I’ll be back and I’m bringing everyone I know.

This was all around a great dining experience. The food was much better, healthier, and affordable than the trendier vegan restaurants. The owner Carlos clearly puts a lot of care into the food and is passionate about creating a healthier society. There are no processed foods on the menu and food was delicious.

This is my favorite latin spot in LA! The food is so delicious and fresh and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I fell in love with the veggie enchiladas and the Platanos locos. The plates are so beautifully prepared and I appreciate the positive intention and love that is being served in the Boyle Heights community. I had the honor of speaking with the owner Carlos about his powerful purpose and mission as a local latino business owner. He is here holding space for health and wellness, creating jobs and a beautiful space for community to thrive and enjoy. I wish I lived closer so I could go there more often! I'm planning to make the hour drive this weekend just for those amazing enchiladas!

I never thought I would be into vegan taquitos. Boy was I wrong. Great spot for vegan and vegetarian eaters. The fruit drinks seemed to be ordered quite a bit. Friendly tip, parking can be a challenge and the space is small but do not let that stop you from trying this place out.

My first time coming here on a hot LA day. I ordered a Taco platter, chips and salsa, and a Thai tea. For the tacos, I ordered two adobada and one nopales. Their black beans were amazing and red rice was great. With the tacos, the tortilla was really good, the protein was underwhelming; it lacked seasoning, making its flavor was quite bland. Service was amazing, the waiter went above and beyond in giving us a great experience.

So happy that Uno Solo Sol has reopened its doors! Went in for the delicious food and happy with the prices, especially compared to other vegan restaurants. The interior is clean, the service friendly, and, of course, the scrumptious food. Try the mango lassi, highly recommended.

A wonderful place with delicious vegan food and a beautiful message to the world. Clean, cozy, affordable, very creative in both design and menu, environmentally conscious. Do read the story behind the mural and the name of the restaurant. Kudos to the owner for creating such a special place.

This is a different level of food people. Such amazing flavors and their ingredients are amazing. Super fresh, clean, and very well presented. I didn't expect it honestly. I got a delivery of 3 dishes at work and everything was superb. Very impressed. The dishes are not too heavy, not at all greasy, perfect acidity, perfectly seasoned. The tortillas and whole wheat bread were spot on. Nice job.

We had such a great time chatting with the owner! The location is right across from Mariachi Plaza and when we left there was music in the air. Very happy to end the day with some delicious vegan food. Left our tummies and hearts very happy. The green pozole was my favorite.

This major carnivore is seriously considering becoming a vegan after Un Solo Sol! I had the House Porridge to break by daily fast and it was delicious and fulfilling without any guilt! For lunch I had the Fatteh (AMAZING) and veggies taco and al pastor taco with rice and beans. Each so flavorful, nutritious and satisfying! My picky eating kiddos loved the Al Pastor bowl and Red pozole with tofu and for drinks they loved the mango lazo drinks. My hubby loved the green enchiladas and nopales bowl! If I could I'd give this place more stars because it deserves it! Please expand to Glendora!!!!!
