This place is getting back to to speed post-covid, more hours, seating outside, fully vegan menu! Everything very fresh and flavorful. Great juices and sauces for taking home. Lots of meter parking. Can be a bit sunny if you're outside, not all tables have umbrellas.

After a long day of biking around my city, I FINALLY came here for some food. I've had this place on my list for a while but never ordered delivery since I'm too far away, haha, but I came today! I ordered the PowerMac burger w/ avocado and a slice of cornbread. The Mac comes with two patties, but I really only wanted one, so I took one off when eating it. It's good, healthy, and the texture of the patty didn't remind of beef which is a good thing. Don't really know how to describe the taste on its own, but the "meat" works well with this sandwich. I didn't know it had pickles until my 5th bite, but a very good addition. Ya can't have a burger without pickles. There's also lettuce shreds throughout, but their small. The added avocado was yummy. I'm not a fan of coleslaw as a side, but I wanted to try this purple one, and yeah... Still not for me, hahaa. I had about two bites and placed it to the side. Talk about CORNbread. I was expecting a bakery-style bread, but it was ACTUAL corn within the bread and had a grayish color from all the ingredients most likely. It wasn't bad, came with this orange sauce and butter. I barely had the butter, but had the orange sauce with the burger. It had this taste. Again, can't describe it, but it was giving me Thousand Island Dressing vibes. I mainly ate the crust and parts of the middle. Not what I was expecting as cornbread. The service is so nice and positive! The two women working there are hella sweet and make your experience really welcoming. They both had on masks, but I could tell the one with her hair in a ponytail was smiling when I was ordering. She also asked if I wanted water since she most likely saw me SWEATING, hahahhaa. Sitting outside allowed my body to cool back down to homeostasis. There's only outdoor seating, but hella space. You can either sit near the door or down further near the meters. The high chairs are packed up inside. I was able to eat most of my food and leave there feeling satisfied about the service. Even though the food didn't stand out to me, the service definitely sold it for me. :)

Cozy cafe with amazing variety of healthy food choices - gluten free, vegan, or omnivores - everyone will find something they love on the menu. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I ended up waiting a good hour for my friend to arrive due to traffic, and I didn't feel rushed. The decoration and ambiance is bright, fun, and feels very local without feeling like out of towners are outsiders. My only regret was my brief visit meant I couldn't visit multiple times and try more dishes! I had the Vegan Cheesy Mac with Black Beans - delicious! My friend ordered the Coconut Banana Pancakes and loved them as well. I wasn't hungry enough for a smoothie, so I stuck with a hemp milk latte. Always a good choice! I hope to visit again soon!

I have now been here 3 times, and each time has been a home run. Location, is not the best next to this run down shopping mall, but the food and staff make up for the dump next store. The love and quality in the food is second to none. Each time, I usually, have the Power Mac Veggie Burger, and I get a cookie, or brownie, but this time the owner introduced me to the Ice cream which was a 10. After coming out of Therapy 2 blocks away, I needed that Chocolate treat, to balance the stress. For the record, I am not vegan or vegetarian, but eat a fairly clean 70% Vegetarian diet, point being, even if you are not of those diet preferences, the food is still amazing and tastes great, without feeling like you are suffering or struggling to find something good. I often eat, at Sage, Cafe Gratitude and a few other local places by the beach, and this is by far the best. Not Fancy, or hipster ,people watcher type place, but very comfy and cozy, intimate, family like environment and that suits my purpose since I don't want to feel watched or self conscious, while eating a great meal. Reminds me of my friends place in Venice Flake, which is not Vegan but also delicious. Anyway, I will be back on Sunday to try their Breakfast(My Fav. meal of the day) Again, staff is awesome, owner seems to be hands on and very genuine and lover of animals, so she walks the walk and not fake. I hope this rare find by accident, after nearby therapy , becomes my go to Gretzky of food, after I feel drained and need rejuvenation. Bravo to the superb ingredients and staff that make this place a must see/eat at as part of your routine.

All items at Powerplant are gluten-free and most are vegan. I had a superb grilled polenta bowl and an invigorating ginger lemonade. (Oh, how I wish DC had a place like this.) I might have to return before my trip takes me to the next city!

I came here to meet a friend and really enjoyed my food. I ordered the Watermelon Gazpacho and it is phenomenal! It's seasonal (only through summer), so come and eat as much as you can. My order came with a Blue Corn Bread which is delicious. Do yourself a favor and stop by. The staff is friendly and helpful. You won't be disappointed.

Powerplant has one of my favorite gluten-free vegan burgers - The Power Mac Veggie Burger. Powerplant offers gluten-free, organic, and plant-based options, and many of the items on the menu are naturally vegan or can be made vegan. You'll find clean tables inside and outside, polite and helpful staff, and reasonable prices. The power mac veggie burger is $12 with a side and is plenty for lunch or dinner. I love adding the Khao Soi Soup. I'll definitely order a large bowl during my next visit. They offer delivery and takeout options, special seasonal menus to keep you coming back for more, and metered parking outside. I've been to Powerplant twice, and I only wish it wouldn't take me 1 hour each way to visit. I hope you consider adding a second location. Maybe Santa Monica? : )

Powerplant is a Vegan/Vegetarian, Gluten Free Diner for Breakfast/Lunch/Brunch, and it shows in the quality they put into their foods and drinks. The smoothies are something to relish I enjoy the Black Magic Smoothie most, but all their juices/smoothies are good and everything on the menu even desserts is a health-conscious choice you don’t have to pay for later in weight gain or stomach troubles. The prices are good, staff is excellent and locale is nice as well. Don’t expect convenient parking or extensive seating as it is a small establishment seated on a busy thoroughfare.

We came to visit family, but we have a celiac daughter & I have a severe sensitivity to gluten, our other daughter can't have dairy...makes eating in a place outside of my kitchen very rough. This place is so awesome! The guy at the counter was super helpful & even made me the best coffee I've ever had! We didn't have to wonder or worry what was ok to eat or ask any questions (about ingredients)...walk in, eat. Super simple! Getting all 4 kids to eat something & like it, from the same place (outside of a taco stand) has never happened until this place. On top of which, we don't eat sugar, nitrates, artificial anything... This place was a god-send! The window says love is the secret ingredient & they didn't lie!

Stopped by for a quick bite since I can’t say no to a dedicated GF spot if I’m in the area (I have celiac, so options are often limited for me). Grabbed a fresh pressed juice and a baked in-house cookie- both were excellent. The place has a great vibe and the guy working was super friendly and offered us some pointers on their most popular stuff and a couple of his faves when we told him it was our first time there. It smelled AMAZING, too- I wish I had been hungry enough for a whole meal. There’s meter parking on the street and a small lot past the fish and chips place next door. It’s small but there is both indoor and outdoor seating. They were bringing our little tea light candles while we were sitting- it’s clear they want their customers to have a great experience all around- not just with the food! Will definitely be back. I do wish they had a couple more items that were soy free, but that’s just me being overly picky.

This place was super delicious and the service was great. This adorable little cafe has good vibes and cool people running it. I had the biscuits and gravy while my friend had a smoothie. I'm interested to try more items. Edit: I've been back a couple more times and the pesto mushroom burger is my favorite so far!
