Oh my yumminess!!! The food is amazing!! The service was absolutely wonderful! I do not think that I could be any happier with the first stop on this trip!!

the girl behind the counter who took our payment & brought our food was cold, unfriendly & rude. It is my husband & mine 1st time here, so we had a few questions & she was annoyed to answer our questions & she was very short with us. she never smiled or was nice not once since we walked in the door. she tipped our slice cake over when she brought it to our table, spilling coconut all over the table. she wasn't apologetic & did not offer to clean the table. her rudeness ruined the whole experience for us. The smoothie I ordered was all ice & the red velvet cake was very hard & dry. we are very disappointed with this place

It was okay but overpriced. The spinach and artichoke dip was good. Beware the Mac and Cheese is $9 for only a tiny mediocre dish - I was annoyed they didn't at least warn us about the size. You're better off with the dip or quesadilla, or a smoothie. I don't recommend the chai latte.

We love this food! How does the vegan cheese taste like goat cheese? How perfect is the untuna melt?! Go see for yourself.

The $ symbol assigned to this place is wrong. I paid almost $30 dollars for a smoothie and a sandwich. It should definitely be $$$ the correct symbol to describe how actually expensive the food is in this place. On the other hand, the service was very slow. Pay attention when you go there. The smoothie was more like a juice due to its consistency being more liquid. The sandwich looks fine.

Save a cow and grab a bite at this petite vegan outpost on Wilshire. I've tried a lot of their menu items, but my favorite is The Works Burger, a 26 ingredient patty topped with smoky tempeh. If I'm craving sweets, I'll order the Macaccino, a hand-roasted mix of maca root that tastes like fresh cinnamon, chocolate and coffee. For a big finale, you absolutely must splurge on their homemade pistachio saffron or strawberry cake. Then take a nap.

I'd give it average marks across the board. Nothing was bad but nothing was amazing. I ordered The Works burger and the creamsicle milkshake. Now I ask you, does this burger look like "The Works"?! When I order "the works" I expect a burger packed with texture, flavor, messy, stuff falling out the bun, THE WORKS! This polite, restrained offering that dirtied three fingers and barely soiled the napkin was not that! The milkshake was also lackluster. Milkshakes are meant to be thick, rich, and take effort to suck up the straw. This was more like a thickish, milky juice. But the weirdest part was the coconut bits. I'm not sure what kind of coconut they use but it definitely isn't fresh because it had an odd plastic-y texture that was off putting. The salad was the best part of the meal but no better than the average person can make at home with packaged greens, a few cherry tomatoes, and a nice dressing off the shelf. Again, nothing was bad but nothing was great. Would I go again? Maybe one more time to try something else but I'd definitely not order any of this again.

The 'works' burger was delicious each time I have visited. The hot drinks make a nice change from other coffee shops.

I love supporting local vegan restaurants; it does become difficult when the restaurant lacks customer service. I’ve been here for more than 20 mins with my toddler and still have not received any water. The table is dirty with no eating utensils. They also do not have 3-4 items on the menu.

Excellent little spot. The food is incredibly delicious, as a non-vegan myself I can confidently say you can't even tell it's vegan! The employees are really friendly and it's charming inside. There was a dessert case full of mouthwatering desserts that I can't wait to go back and try! Highly recommend trying this place even if you're not vegan.

The chick'n parm was excellent, the GF pasta was delicious, and the mixed greens were fresh and crisp. I'm very glad I stopped here for dinner and would definitely recommend it.

Oh. My. Gosh. It's almost like they knew my pallet exact! Absolutely delicious food ~ YUM I ordered the Wet Burrito - absolutely delish (comes with a salad) the salad is also super fresh delightful. The burrito though, on point, would give 10 Stars if I could and it's huge! Also the customer service was super awesome.

Mesquite pit smoked BBQ meats here or an amazing just fall apart in your mouth the side dishes are equally as good I'm talking smack your mama just amazing food it would have gotten five stars but unfortunately they play very terrible music volumes so loud you can't hear each other speaking at the table and that is a very big turn off otherwise it would be wonderful

Really average food for very expensive prices. The atmosphere in the restaurant is depressing. Non cruel to animals should not be cruel to humans.

The staff is friendly and relaxed in a way that makes all who enter feel at home/at peace. And the food is amazing. Everything on the menu is so fresh, innovative, balanced, and makes you just feel sooo good 😎. I really love these people and what they do!

Nice smoothies. Nothing amazing. I had the banana chocolate one. Pretty tasty but not so filling. I did appreciate the healthful menu. The decorations are sparse so it feels kinda cold and a little depressing in there. Would rather order to go.

I wanted to enjoy this place. I truly did. I have a deep affinity for eating vegan at least once a week, and sometimes vegan cuisine can be really great. This spot missed the mark for us. I ordered the kale caesar, which was a really good, healthy, large salad. It came with sweet potato croutons, which I presumed would be cubed, roasted sweet potatoes. Instead it was a bunch of crumbly, dry cubes that didn't hold much flavor and were kind of like a dry scone in texture. The other folks in my party were rather disappointed with their meals as well, the falafel was dry, the spinach was a little goopy, etc. We didn't get dessert, but the cakes looked good. My friend enjoyed his veggie burger, so get that.

A beautiful upstairs area with a surreal view of Santa Monica and the kitchen through a tall and skinny window. Their vegan cheese was not the best I've had, but it is very comforting to know that there is a place where you can get healthy food.

Kudos to a 100% vegetarian, and 100% organic restaurant with lots of gluten free options. It’s always a treat to find a place where you can order absolutely anything on the menu! The issue I had with Golden Mean is that there’s so much on the menu that you get the feeling this is the kind of place that specializes more in the concept of the food (ie making everything vegetarian) rather than the food itself. When a place has nachos, and pizza, and bowls and Mexican (and more) all on the same menu it’s more a recipe for choice over quality. I don’t think they’re trying to be a fine dining establishment with crave worthy gourmet specialties (though the menu prices might disagree with me there) though in the end you do want, as a vegetarian to be catered to not just by a wide variety of options, but by food taste over the gimmick of it being vegetarian. I had the Rueben sandwich on regular bread. It certainly filled me up, but it’s nothing I would have written home about it. I was happy to be able to choose a side and got the sweet-potato salad which I had hoped would taste more like a traditional potato salad than it did. Both were presented beautifully on the plate, so lots of points for the visuality of it. With so many restaurants (even ones within a block of this place) offering super-tasty fine dining options that satisfy vegetarian and gluten free tastes and diets, I can’t imagine rushing back here.

This was the best vegan sushi I've ever had. They had a 2 hour wait but it was definitely worth the wait. If you like sushi, I would recommend you to check this place out. It's sooo good. Next time I'm in CA, I'll visit again.

The food is decent. Potatos were cut in huge pieces which affects the eating experience. Service was absolute terrible - young girl.

The waffle was crispy on the edges and warm and soft on the inside. The breakfast scramble was prepared perfectly with the right proportions of black beans, tomatoes, red onions and a dash of cumin. This is a cozy place to come for a quiet, intimate brunch on the weekends.

Pretty decent place for food, as for me a little overpriced. I liked my roll, was pretty average but salad was good! I liked the second floor sittings, but you gotta watch your head! Also have nice wall if you like taking pics.

Outstanding food! Their signature burger is a gluten free vegan masterpiece, just perfect. Add a milkshake and you will be in heaven.
