SO DELICIOUS! We had the orange "chicken" which comes with broccoli, a side of brown rice, and also a serving of the peanut sauce noodles. Everything was so fresh, light and delicious. The thai tea was very flavorful as well, without the heavy cream--it's still just as good. The meal also comes with complimentary hot tea, which is a definite plus. The service was great and the ambiance was nice. We will definitely be back.

A pretty decent Chinese restaurant with a few querks. The food was mostly good except for the mu shu vegetables dish which was sort of like the Chinese tortilla replica it was flavorless and disappointing. The sesame chicken was terrific and the mo pad tofu was really good, silky and well made. The Garden Wok don't serve any alcohol but your can go down to the nearest liqueur store and bring your own. They asked us to leave at exactly 10pm (closing time) even though some of us were still eating!!!

The owner is super friendly, and the service is fast. Wonderful Chinese vegan food. The owner said she has been in business for 20 years, and she has been vegan for 40 years! We got orange chicken (made from mushroom), lemon chicken, broccoli beef, chowmein. All were amazing and delicious, I agree with the high rating on google.

I had been a long time customer since 2016. The last visit at this location was terrible. Myself and my friend were seated and food was prepared over 1.5 hours later of sitting and waiting. We were seated before 3 other parties and we were served last. The owner lied to us that the food was prepared as we were ready to walk out just so he can collect his money from walking away, we had every right to leave this place of business. With the said, I will not be supporting this restaurant not the behavior of it's owners that give no care to how they service they're customers and how rude they have been towards me on more than one occasion. I will support other establishments moving forward that appreciate their customers and their worth.

The best Chinese Vegan food I ever had. We had the chicken with pea, Kung pao chicken, beef and broccoli and the pork rice. Highly recommended.

Big portions and delicious foods! But something is off... They now serve with paper plates, styrofoam, and plastic utensils which I think is wasteful; there's almost no one dining in each time I go which is awkward and quiet; and the service is a bit slow. Normally, I wouldn't come to a place like that, but I will continue to stop by because the food is actually that good and most of all... There's only one person (besides the hostess) working. The old lady is the owner of the restaurant and had worked here with her husband for years. Her husband just died recently and now she basically works alone to keep herself and the restaurant alive. The owner is literally doing everything by herself, and for that and her delicious food, I'm going to keep supporting her.

Omg! I was looking for vegetarian options, “something different, “ and I ran across this little gem of Chinese food vegetarian style. Who knew? I did my research and read many reviews, and there were two that weren’t four or five stars. Did I mention I read a lot of them …….So I checked it out! I tried to order online for delivery, but unfortunately, after a long while, choosing my menu items, I eventually decided to call them (THE ONLY HAVE PICK-UP NO DELIVERY )even though the app suggests it has delivery options and the woman I spoke to said to choose Grub Hub (Not Even Grub Hub would accepted it So I called back when I called them on the phone this time, they advised pick up only and apologized ) Usually, I would've given up after all this; SO glad I didn’t! I ordered over the phone. Pick up 20 and it was ready 🤗 I'm not a big eater, and it was just myself; however, I ordered many different items to try a few things. I got the golden tofu which, quite honestly, is the only thing I can say wasn’t for me; the texture and the color were good; however, it was flavorless, unfortunately. Everything else was perfect. I got Szechuan wonton vegetarian wontons with spinach and pinenuts in them. Can I say amazing! I got Szechuan beef which ultimately looks like Szechuan beef; amazingly, this is“mock meat” My husband would never know! (I’m genuinely not clear on whether the noodles are vegan or not question to ask them next time I go. ) I also got chicken with flat noodles, vegetables done perfectly, the flavor was spot on, and my absolute favorite was the summer rolls; oh my God, it tasted like and felt like it had chicken in it; however, it was tofu with lots of cilantro &herbs served with a plum sauce! A lady came in when I was paying, and I asked her what she gets and things about Golden wok; she said she loves this place. Her children and herself are not vegetarians. She consistently receives the stuffed chicken for sure, and Among several other dishes I can’t remember right now, she’s not even vegetarian and loves this place. Go check it out, people! You will miss out if you don’t!

My wife and I love the orange "chicken" here, though be sure to get some rice along with it. An order of orange chicken with rice plus one order of spring rolls is enough for two people to have a great little lunch, unless you're just used to stuffing yourself silly! That's not to imply that the sizes of the dishes are small. In fact, the first time I got food from Garden Wok I assumed the dish sizes would be like most vegan takeout joints, and ordered way too much food. For a not too heavy lunch, seriously, one entree works great. Pretty much everything here is freaking fantastic-- you won't be displeased exploring the menu. I'm glad this place exists! VEGAN AF

I was wowed by this place! You would never guess this was a fully vegetarian restaurant. Delicious food, affordable, and the nicest mom and pop owners. Please do your taste buds a favor and try this place.

Awesome restaurant with great and prideful ownership! A couple runs the restaurant and the food is delicious, cooked fresh and most importantly... VEGAN AND CRUELTY FREE! But seriously it tastes bomb... I am there almost every week!

Oh boy! Super friendly service, and the food was superb. These are the freshest, most delectable wontons I’ve ever eaten. Yummy fresh buns, fresh veggies in lovely sauce. The Thai iced tea was also especially good. Service wasn’t the fastest until we got to order, but it was SO worth it! This was our first time and we will be coming back - this might be our new favorite vegan Chinese place in LA.

I've been vegan for >2 years now, and my parents are participating in Veganuary this year too! We checked out this place on our way back from LA to Bakersfield on New Year's day. We ordered lamb with snow peas, shrimp with vegetables, orange chicken, and kung pao duck. Everything was flavorful and cooked well. I wish I could find some of these mock meats more readily in the supermarket so I could try to make some of this at home! Will definitely go back if I'm in the area! N.B., they were only open for takeout at the time due to COVID

This place is closed down for sure. It’s 3pm on a Thursday and the front door is locked, there’s disheveled tables that you can see through dusty blinds, and even though it allows you to order on grubhub for pickup there’s no way to get inside to pick it up

Absolutely incredible, hands down the best vegetarian food in LA. The consistency of the textures and flavors are incredible. Homemade fresh ingredients. Definitely a go to for Chinese. Favorite dishes includ the faux fish in hot bean sauce, faux orange chicken made of mushrooms, and the chicken drumsticks made from seitan.

This has to be the best vegan Chinese food in LA. I take all my vegan and non vegan friends here and everyone loves it. It's a mom & pop shop that I hope stays open and in business for many years to come. They serve great food and the place feels like visiting relatives. The kind that love to feed you and don't ask too many questions.

The vegan fish here is absolutely phenomenal. They make it all by hand in-house, unlike other restaurants that order them. The broccoli beef looks just like real beef, and the texture is exactly like the most tender beef you'd find in an authentic Chinese restaurant in Monterey Park or Sam Gabriel. The crispy crunch of the orange chicken is downright addictive--we could have ordered one for each of us. The depth in flavor of the humble vegetable fried flat rice noodles is astounding. This is achieved only with a high enough heat to release the "wok's breath". This place could charge twice as much for how authentic and skillfully made their dishes are. An unbelievable gem in a homely shopping center!

I make time to eat at Garden Wok everytime I pass by LA. It's so worth it. The soups are hearty and fresh. The Buddha's feast is savory and the eggplant with basil melts in your mouth.

Despite the name saying they're a vegetarian restaurant, they're actually now 100% vegan which is awesome! We felt so healthy after leaving the dishes aren't too sugary or heavy

My brother and I went to this restaurant for my birthday treat No customer was in the restaurant. It seemed odd that no one was there in the middle of the day for lunch. We ordered our food. She served my food inside styrofoam containers and a paper plate with plastic utensils instead of ceramic plates and metal utensils. Initially we thought the food she brought for me was only mine which could be a good portion but to our surprise and after waiting 15 minutes for my brother's food we found out the food was for both of us! I told her it's not a right portion for two people. She agreed and thankfully brought more food! We also asked for soy sauce dispenser since where was none on the table but she brought only couple of tiny sealed soy sauce packets! We were very disappointed at the restaurant management and the service. It seemed there has been a dramatic change in the restaurant management since I was there a few years ago. I won't go there again and I won't recommend it to anyone. :(

Some of the best vegan/vegetarian Chinese food in the area. Prices are cheap for the quality of vegan food and the portions are generous. I’ve taken several non-vegan people here and they all loved it and go on their own to get their food now. Great lighter and healthier Version of classic dishes.

Tasty vegetarian food. A little expensive at $23 for one for meal (without a drink). Unfortunately they serve everything on disposable ware - Styrofoam plates, plastic cups, paper trays. I normally associate veg with environmentally minded, but it didn't feel that way here.

Ordered take out yesterday of potstickers, flat rice noodle, lemon chicken and fish with mushroom and bamboo. This was my 1st time with this restaurant but will not be my last. A great vegan option

It's been unfortunately a long time since I have been here. But the food is to die for! Try the crispy fried mushrooms. There is a mixed fake meat dish for those who are undecided. Meat eaters you take with you often enjoy the food too. I miss the Granada Hills location.

Love all the food! My son who is a meat eater teen loves this place too as some in our family have gone vegan/vegetarian. The basil pepper chicken is crunchy and delicious. The eggplant chicken, the pork fried rice, everything we have tried is so good. They use meat substitutes. Like the "shrimp" is textured and looks real but made from vegetables. The chicken are varied in look and texture and taste amazing. We have been going here for almost ten years now. A humble mom and pop restaurant cooked with love. Her food is now packaged on Costco under the "RedMoon" brand. Highly recommend. ❤
