It is a good burrito hands-down, may be a tad bit oily. However, the burrito seems to keep getting smaller every time I come here. I’ve been coming here for a few years now maybe a few times a year and the burrito was literally a third of the size it was the first time I had it. Oh and by the way the prices nearly doubled In that time. Update 07/31/2022 Tiny tiny tiny 20 dollar burrito. This is not right. Save your money.

I would have preferred an egg burrito with a bit of bacon for flavor and a little cheese. What you get is a bacon and cheese burrito with egg for (flavor). Don't need the cojita, avocado, or the crema sauce with cilantro. This is an example of trying way too hard instead of offering simple, delicious food. The $25:price point for a burrito and coffee is going towards the box and wrappings. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I got the steak burrito and it was AMAZING! Fresh avocado and eggs. Caramelized onions made it flavorful. Steak was not overcooked. Tater tots gave it the best crunch. They used a paratha/roti canai as the wrap instead of those regular flour wraps, which made the burrito even better! Well worth the price! The staff were really friendly and dedicated as well.

Busy spot! Pros: Good burritos, quality ingredients. Cons: Portion could be bigger when paying extra for gluten free burritos. There was confusion on the sauces and it was hard to tell what was vegan and what was vegetarian. They labeled it wierd. On pick up the checkout girl told me sauces are extra, after she handed out red and green sauces to three customers before me that didn’t order it, turns out there was an aioli sauce in my bag but I didn’t ask for this one? The Red sauce/hot sauce should not be charged for to be fair to customers. It’s $2.25 for gluten free tortilla which is up there in $$. I would return and recommend this spot again.

I had my skepticism when my colleague described this as the "BEST breakfast burrito in LA" but boy oh boy was I humbled... Although the burrito was considerably smaller than expected (*shrinkflation*) the taste and flavor profile knocked me out. Every bite was heavenly. Definitely the best vegetarian breakfast burrito I EVER had. Pictured is various stages of said burrito (tater tots + eggs + avocado + grilled onions + pickled jalapenos + cheddar + chipotle aioli = 😋🙌🏽🤤).

Fireee burrito! The smoked pastrami was everything you want in a smoked pastrami (Smokey, seasoned bark, tender). Loved the crispy crunch the tater tots provided. At first I thought it was a bit small but size don’t matter as it packed a punch in flavor.

This is my 4th day in a row having the vegetarian breakfast burrito. It's like crack. The carmelized onions and tator tots are genius. The burrito has so much flavor and really takes your taste buds on a journey. And the sauces are on point, particularly the green one. I've ordered extra and used it for sandwiches and dips. So so good.

I did a build your own burrito because it's unlimited addons!! How could I not? The place is very chill and tiny. I'm glad I went when it wasn't too packed. Several open chairs. They took my order happily and made my way to the free water dispenser. I received my order within 5 minutes and was skeptical about the portion size because I was quite hungry. I took my first bite and I was impressed. YOU MUST GET TATER TOTS. The eggs, seasonings, and KILL SAUCE on the side made excellent foundations for the rest of the burrito. The kill sauce was like a sweet and sour sauce with a mild spice to it. I could tell the burrito was wrapped with love and cut in half with purpose. By the last few bites of my burrito, I was glad I ordered only one. Don't overestimate the portion size. I felt satisfied and not regretting my life. Best breakfast burrito I've tasted? Maybe. Will I be back? Absolutely.

This place used to be a go to breakfast burrito spot but has been incredibly overpriced since we first tried it. The burritos are for toddlers and you need to eat another breakfast after you have one because you will still be hungry. This is the asada burrito and it used to have steak now it looks like they are using steak ums or some flap meat instead they also used to have bomb fresh squeezed orange juice now I'm not so sure if it's fresh. If they run out of vanilla lattes they always do they will serve you another one and change the order so you can't get a refund it's super classy. They just recently raised the prices and now the burritos are even smaller with lower quality ingredients that are bland and mushy. We won't be back! I don't like the business practices of cheap and greedy people makes a bad combo for running a restaurant. Hope you don't lose more customers with your new changes.

This place has DELCIOUS burritos. We got there close to when they closed and they were so nice and friendly. We ordered two different burritos, the bad man and the vegetarian with added Carne Asada (this had good toppings but I also wanted meat), and they were so good. If I could fit more than one burrito, I would. I will visit again any time I am in town.

The vegetarian breakfast burrito was delicious. Tater tots and eggs make a great combo, and everything else in there was great, including the sauce. The main issue is that it’s tiny (second photo has a napkin for reference) and it’s *not* cheap. This place is take out only, there’s no seating outdoors either. There’s a park not too far, but it’s currently under construction.

My Husband and I were leaving LA and wanted to stop and pick up breakfast and Wake and Late popped up for a recommendation. I was skeptical at first because when we got there the area looked a bit iffy, but the service was fast and we got everything we ordered. The burrito LOOKED disappointing, but the TASTE made up for all of that!! We both got the steak burrito with extra chipotle and Cilantro crema and it was so good!! We also got The dirty chai latte and I added vanilla and it was everything I could have wished for 🤤

One of the best breakfast burritos you will ever have and never afford. I gotta say even on opening day with all of the wait it was well worth the flavor of the burrito but what an absolute massive disappointment when you open your bag to find such a puny burrito for almost $20. Thank you Wake and Late for the ideas you have integrated into this masterful burrito but I'll just make literally the same thing at home for $3-5. I understand the uptick to a degree but anything over $10 for this size of a burrito is absurd. I'd happily buy two if the price was right since I was not full after one. You have a really great thing going here and I just hope this place can see it through with their current prices. (This was at the new Pasadena location)

Burrito was on the small side, which I don’t mind, but the bacon was over cooked and the overall flavor wasn’t especially outstanding. The tater tots made it unique, but not enough that I’d try it again, especially for $17

Definitely one of the best breakfast burritos in Southern California, no doubt about that. The bacon is incredible, the tots are perfectly crispy, the tortilla is amazing, eggs were buttery, the cheddar was oozy and the sauces were top notch. But $17 for a petite-sized breakfast burrito? You won't even get full after eating this, which eliminates the incredible value a breakfast burrito delivers in the satisfying your hunger department.

Super delicious! Quality ingredients and the tots are amazing. Mine came with pastrami and bacon and both were amazing. My girlfriend picked it up cause of the terrible parking (keep that in mind) and she mentioned the guy that worked there was very nice and looked happy to be there. We mobile ordered to have it ready in time for our arrival as we knew the parking in DTLA is horrible. The chipotle aioli is amazing but not spicy at all which can be a pro or a con depending on what you prefer. The cilantro crema was good as well and somehow spicier than the chipotle aioli. 10/10 but idk how many times i’ll be back with it being in such a terrible location. Also its on the smaller side and pricey. Was $47 for two of us with lattes

This is by far the best breakfast burrito in LA. The proportions are just right and the homemade hot sauce is fire. But they keep raising prices rapidly that it's pretty much $20 for a burrito now. I'm about priced out!

I've had this place a few times and I realized I love these burritos. I can't have eggs anymore (sensitivity) so it's rare for me to have breakfast burritos I don't make myself. So the photo is of a bacon breakfast burrito with tofu scramble substituted for eggs. They're $16 and a little small but please believe me, you're paying for flavor. This is one of the best breakfast burritos I can remember ever having. It makes me want to risk ordering it with real eggs. It's simple, but well done and they use fresh quality ingredients.

The sauce! The quality! The wait time! The pastrami! Did I mention the sauces?? This was the best pastrami I’ve had in years hands down! I’m all about quality and don’t mind paying more when I can tell the folks here really took the time to do it right including obvious high end flavorful ingredients in the sauces. I can’t believe some reviews are more worried about the size, haven’t you been shopping lately? Everything is more now. Highly recommend this restaurant! Thanks Wake and Late for doing it right!! Like the Terminator……. I’ll be back!

When I tried Wake and Late for the first 1-3 times, it was 5 stars. Every instance I eat here, I feel like I get sick of the burrito I’m eating less than half the burrito in. I’ve had it maybe 10 times over the span of few years, and I’m at the point now where I want to look elsewhere when craving breakfast burritos. The cilantro crema is still fire, 5/5. Cilantro crema >>> chipotle aoili and don’t bother with their hot sauce, srirarcha or cholula better. Overall, I don’t feel the taste justifies the $18 price tag.

THE BEST CHAI LATTE IN DOWNTOWN!! There’s a Starbucks right across the street, but it’s worth the extra dollar to go here. The drinks typically are only a dollar more, most being comparable in price. The service attentive/kind thought a little slower, as they typically only have one or two people on staff with a long line, but it’s worth the wait! So far I’ve tried they’re chai latte, traditional vanilla latte and something honey lavender— all were rich in flavor, creamy, with hints of strong coffee melodies. Can’t wait to try something new again tomorrow! It’s part of my morning routine now and something I look forward too! :)

Surfer J here with another top review. Burrito is nom nom nom✅ good. The place just opened and I’ve already eaten here 3 times. My routine has 🚭💨💨💨💨, wake then late. Good spot highly recommended.

Saw this on TikTok and had to try it. However, the food is just lacking taste. I'm honestly perplexed on how some consider this the best breakfast burrito. It's slightly above average bit can get much better ones at small hole I. The wall Mexican restaurants.

These breakfast burritos were already my favorite in LA (tater tots?! Come on!) BUT we decided to order a bunch of these for my daughter's birthday party and they were a massive hit! Everyone wanted to know where they were from, and I know at least 4 guests checked to see if they were in delivery range that same day. Also, they were incredibly patient as I was continually shifting our order as the guest list kept evolving. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

I ate here on a recent visit to Los Angeles and I can't figure out how they manage to wrap so much deliciousness in a breakfast burrito! I had the bacon burrito and my friend had the veggie. Both were beyond fantastic. Can't wait to return.

This was my third time having Wake & Late so I figured it was time for a review. It is definitely a great burrito and I have noticed that they have made the burrito larger since the first time I had it. It is on the salty side which can be a pro or con depending on your sodium tolerance! I typically never get bacon in breakfast burritos bc usually its fatty but wake and late bacon is on the crispy side which I love. Looking forward to the Hollywood location opening! At $17 its not cheap but you get a quality burrito.

My friend ordered some food and she highly recommend it so I ordered a breakfast burrito. It should be noted that the review is based off of a Uber eats delivery. The burrito was really good, the portion or size wasn’t too big or too small and just right. Right amount of meat and ingredients to make it a solid breakfast meal. I’d definitely try to come out to their location and try their other menu items.

I never leave reviews but I had to write one for this place. I ordered from here randomly and I’m so glad I did, what a delicious breakfast burrito! Honestly, 10/10. And the 3 sauces on the side were incredible. Don’t let the size fool you, while it may not be a super jumbo size, the flavor is amazing and its very filling.

Found while driving through downtown: simply amazing. It was a HEFTY burrito with perfect texture profile. You could tell they use quality ingredients. The Tebs sauce was a great combo of tangy and savory. The service was personable, but quick!

Got the bacon burrito and my partner got the pastrami burrito. Both were extremely salty (especially the bacon burrito, pastrami less so). It was hard to distinguish which ingredient the salt was coming from (I established it wasn't the hashbrowns) but it was so intense we both couldn't finish our food even while chugging two bottles of water in the process. Maybe it was just a bad order we got, but what a bummer!

Finally got to try these famous burritos. The flavor was absolutely amazing but I was very surprised how small they were! Not worth the price of $16.50 in my opinion.

  • 5/5 Charlie D. 11 months ago on Google
The breakfast burritos are truly magnificent. We got two delivered like 20 minutes away and the tater tots inside were perfectly crispy, tortillas you you can tell were hand made, great seasoning on the steak, and the sauces were on point. Glad we found this place, will be ordering again.

Food gave me the runs. Their sauces were hella whack Mayo hot sauce is what I would call it. This spot would be Kool but the food is not great quality. Anyone ever looking for a great spot to eat breakfast burritos? Try the corner cottage in Burbank. Get there before 11:00 a.m. cash only s best breakfast burritos in LA @cornercottage in Burbank

Really good breakfast burrito. I got the bacon one and it was amazing and crunchy. I'd add a photo but I ate it too quick 😂.

Overall: 4.4/5 (pastry only) My friend had the bacon breakfast burrito and said it was good. I asked her to pick up a chocolate Rugelach ($3) for me. I never had one before. It was really good & soft. The pastry had the right amount of chocolate & wasn't too sweet as well. My friend liked it too and said it's one of the better ones she had.

Heard about this place from a couple of Youtubers! Specifically, the burritos were featured on the Jolly channel. And I am so glad we took them up on their recommendation!! We both did BYOs and it was soooo difficult to decide what to include. I hope this place stays in business forever. Still dreaming about your burritos, guys.

This is the best breakfast burrito I’ve had in LA. Not only that, it might be the best menu item I’ve had in LA —period. Bacon breakfast burrito would be my recommendation, but the vegetarian and vegan breakfast burritos are both excellent options. The harmony and balance of ingredients are unmatched. The scrabbled eggs (pasture raised Vital Farms) are cooked to perfect golden, wavy curds. The scoops of avocado are always perfectly ripe—holding their structure, yet creamy as they yield to your bite. In contrast, the golden, crispy tater tots provide rigidity and a satisfying crunch. Lastly, the cheddar and cotija cheeses provide a melty texture with just the right amount of sharpness to cut through. All this is wrapped perfectly in a pressed-grilled tortilla, that softens up on its sides to the perfect chew when self-steamed in its foil wrapper.

  • 5/5 Val T. 1 year ago on Google
Yes.. it really is the best breakfast burrito in LA. Really the best I’ve had in my life so far! Got the bacon breakfast burrito. The most amazing flavors and crunch and deliciousness you’ll experience. The avocado cilantro crema sauce is a must! The chipotle aioli was good, but the avocado cilantro sauce for sure!!! It’s DTLA, parking will always suck. We ordered ahead online, I dropped my friends off to grab the food, then swung back around and swooped them back up. The iced vanilla oat milk latte was really good and I would 100% eat here again. Yea the burrito isn’t as big as everyone expects it to be, for the price you’re paying, but it’s LA so I don’t expect big portions. It’s still worth it to me and I would eat one every morning if I could!
