What a great place to come get either a glass of wine or a cold beer! Their food is way underrated and they have a bread pudding that is one of the best I have tried! The bar tenders are always so helpful and will guide you on which wine will be best for you. The crowd is always a good crowd and the service is always on point. Great for the start of a date, great to come have a drink after work, great for a friday night meetup spot. In other words: great for any occasion! The cheese plate is so good and you have many options to mix and match. You can even host small events in the secret bar! There is a lot of regulars that come to this place as it is one of the best spots in the area. They have a great rotation of draft beers and they also have a great number of canned beers. Their wine selection is extensive. They offer valet parking in case you are having trouble finding a parking spot.

We just grabbed to awesome IPAs and sat outside. Was super fun. Also the side of potatoes was really great! Good value for $ and just a good vibe.

This is a worthwhile stop when in Silver Lake or Los Feliz ... especially for afternoon drinks. The wine list is excellent. Just adventurous enough without going off the rails. And the bartenders here know their vino. Don't hesitate to ask questions and tell them what you like. They won't lead you astray. Also ... beer! Yes, there's at the wine bar. And damn good beer too. They have six different taps in rotation and I've never gone in and not found something that interests me. The space itself is great and relaxed. A long bar and a few low benches and high tables. There's also a small outside area if you get there early enough. It's dark and cool and the kind of place that is conducive to conversation and hours of hanging out. There no food, but during the day you can grab tacos from Home State next door and bring them in. Parking can be a challenge at certain times, but never so crazy that it's not worth going. Always worth the trip!

Love this place! Totally chill atmosphere, perfect for a low key night out with close friends. They offer a selection of maybe about ten beers on tap and a couple in bottles, but their wine selection is impressively vast for such a quaint venue. For those who would like to order a glass of wine, you can either select one from their specials board or describe to the bartender the type of wine you’re in he mood for and they will bring you 2-3 wines to taste and choose from. So fun!

I love this little gem! Soo pretty, decently priced drinks and the workers are all very nice! The only reason not giving 5 stars because well although their food is good it’s like little bar bites, would be nice if they offered entrees as well But this place is awesome and I definitely recommend either way Also the Stiegl beer is heaven!

We had a 5 cheese board and 2 glasses of wine after tip over $100. We ordered at the bar and food was served at the table. The cheese selection was good, but the plating was minimal. I asked the bus boy for water, and he said ok and then proceeded to sit within view and scan his phone. I had to get the water myself from the bar. After I requested the water the buss boy tried to jump in front and get the water for me. Bad service practices, especially for such an expensive place. The chocolate dessert was dense and just ok. Bar tender allowed us to taste the wine before serving however the taste was tiny. Glad I tried but wouldn't return. The wine was good, small pour.

Great place to have a drink, eat some unique food, and relax in a friendly, warm atmosphere. A wine bar designed to make you feel comfortable and gather with a friend or a group to celebrate or just enjoy inside or outside! Try it out and bring your friends!

god help you if you are stuck behind someone tasting their way through the menu while ordering. The other staff will eventually figure out that you've been standing around for a while and come save you, but it happens enough that maybe they should have a separate line for people who know what they want. I do come here enough that I can't say it's a deal breaker though. The outside seating is nice too if you bring more than a couple people.

Awesome wine bar: you let them know your tastes and they'll recommend something spectacular. They'll even let you sample before you commit to a glass or bottle. Has both indoor and patio seating!

Fantastic everything. The staff is very friendly and chill and they know their wine. They are very good at giving tastings and you can't go wrong with any choice. Their cheese plate is out of this world, one of the best culinary experiences I've had. It has great ambience with dim lighting and good music. During our two month stay in Los Feliz, we went here at least half a dozen times.

Amazing experience! I love the concept. You just go up to the bar and tell them what you like and they give you a few tastings of what they think you’ll like before you buy a glass. Nailed it! Staff is very knowledgeable about the wine. The perfect atmosphere and great bites. Will be coming back for sure !

This place is amazing! Not your typical wine bar. You can order specific wines but if you tell them what you like or in the mood for they'll pull 3 suggestions for you to taste. Super fun. Food is great although I wish they were a little more adventurous with the cheese & charcuterie selections.

Excellent wine and drinks and the bar staff are great. Food is okay, but it's still worth giving another try.

Loved their wine bar and seating area! Patio heaters spaced a couple feet apart outside lend to an excellent ambiance at night where you can people watch on the streets. Mood lighting indoors to provide a cozier, more intimate vibe if required as well. I got the clam broth, ordered bread (charged for that), and a glass of house red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon). The bread and the broth paired so well since the server recommended something to dip into the soupy consistency. The house bread was warm, flaky, and doughy in the middle. The wine was as expected and I ordered a second glass as well since it paired well with the bread/clam soup. I'll be back. Cool little spot in Hollywood!

Wine was good. I asked for a menu and was told there was no menu and to just tell the guy what we liked and he would bring us wine accordingly, I was surprised when the bill came how much I paid per glass and I would’ve like to have known as the cost was comparable to 4-5 star restaurant which this was not… for the area it’s a nice place to meet a friend for a decent glass of wine but I am a sophisticated consumer specifically when comes to restaurants, wine bars and or lounges and I while I thought the wine was decent I did not like feeling as though I was maneuvered… again it’s not the price it’s the principle.

Great wine bar! Love that they choose the wine based off your taste, great idea!

Always a great number of great wines open to try by the glass. Natural wines a plenty, other wines too!

Wow I'm a huge fan! Went there for the first time last week and was in awe by the skills of the sommeliers working there. All of the wines were delicious and the pours were generous. I'll be back!

If you like discovering new wines, Covell is the spot for you. When you walk up to the bar instead of ordering off a menu you just tell the bartender what you're in the mood for, then they ask follow up questions and bring you samples so you can decide. Everyone is friendly and the vibe inside and out is great. I can't recommend this bar highly enough.

Great atmosphere with a super friendly staff who was knowledgeable about the wines and worked hard to find the right drink for you.

Very confused by this wine bar. Bartenders don’t seem to know the difference between wines, but they do know how to pour 4 wines in a row that taste like chemicals. Typical LA spot trying to be cool but actually failing at delivering. Beer was lovely though!

Amsi is the GOAT. We’ve loved coming here ever since we met him over a year ago and time and time again he takes the absolute best care of us. Recently he helped me organize a super special secret birthday cake for my wife’s birthday and made the evening extra special. We’ll always keep coming back to Covell!
