So disappointed, this use to be the best gym, but not anymore. Apparently it has new franchise owners that are very incompetent. I purchased a personal trainer package, and then they shut down for 8 or so months due to Covid, now they are opening up again and won’t give me my sessions nor refund me or give me ANY kind of credit. $200 down the drain. As the other reviews have stated, they keep saying it’s new owners, but it’s really the same people with different job titles, trying to avoid giving anyone what they have paid for. This gym is definitely not going to make it. They have zero customer service skills. Don’t waste your time here, they’re just out to take your money and run.

Can you tell your janitor to stop interrupting people during their workouts? Don't need someone trying to pressure me into getting vaccinated when that's the last thing on my mind when I come into this place. Some people just want to get in and out.

I highly suggest avoiding this gym at ALL costs. Not like it matters because it doesn't seem like they are ever reopening. I moved last June due to military orders. This gym owes me money and you can't get in touch with anyone. I had to call my bank and have them put a stop payment on them because they continued to charge me even after I canceled. They owe my friend several hundred dollars as well. The lack of communication they've given current members, even staff is outrageous. Most unprofessional gym I've ever been to.

They make it so hard to cancel membership, bathroom is disgusting, showers have holes in the wall, never any paper towels benches and equipment is old and falling apart and the outside workout area has no weights that match machines are missing parts and don't work bars are all bent or broken, this place is beat up and cheap which is why it's so packed.

Sure it’s cheap, be ready for a cheap gym. Most of the cable systems are broken or in very poor condition, most of it is very cheap fixes like a new pin for the cable weights or new carabiners for the attachments but they are too cheap to even replace those, be ready for your attachment to come off every time you set it down. They make you trade your phone or ID for some of the cable attachments, such as the ropes that are commonly used for tricep work. Also, the bathrooms are the most disgusting I’ve ever seen at a gym. The mens seriously smells like a Porta Potty every single day I’m there. The outside muscle beach equipment is pure rusted out junk, some of the plates are so rusted that they’re crumbling in areas and don’t sit on barbells right. It does all work and I will say I do enjoy that area when it’s nice out. I’ll give them credit for their machines, they have a lot of plate loaded machines and some pretty unique ones at that.

If you wanna ruin your life and your credit score, deal with those crook people. They keep sending money to my collection without giving me any notification that my membership still on. Manny the manager told me that he cancelled my membership with them over a year but he did not to go to collection from them on my credit, which ruined my whole life for at least next seven years. Those people don’t care about you. My advice to anyone is reading my review now to never ever go there I’m sorry for that one star I am giving to you. I wish Google has zero star. This is what you deserve.

They need to fix their showers! It's been months now. Sauna is good but nowhere to rinse off after. 👎

Used to be good and I don't mind change. Change is always great but not completely. I was a member for 6-7 year I think. Always paying 2 years or 1 year in advance. I dislike montho plus leaving credit card on file for months so extremely hard to cancel. 6 months down my annual they didn't let me go in. Unless I give me credit card info. I'm not going to give bank account nor CC for monthly. To bad chargr backs don't work after 6 months or id be opening one. Then they replied like 2-3 weeks later. With contact world gym support. I'm a 24 hours gym member and I can visit any gym I like. I would have not mind paying more once my year ended case they were revamping everything which was rad. Oh well I'll never comeback. I referred two people and pretty much the same and don't take insurance either ____________________________________ I believe it has to do whether you go distracted with your phone and members are not gonna greet at you by chasing you to greet at you or shake your hand. Sure the gym needs a better AC/air purifier, new pads on majority of the benches, new floor grip Ruber, and give better lubrication to the machines. (That work requires time and money that has to come from the gym profit not the owner). Also is people would care about not dropping weight to the floor that almost want to dig wholes with them, re-rack weights back to its place instead of leaving them who know where. I wouldn't be surprised if there were in the restrooms. People (member have to apport a bit to have the gym great. They go all sweaty from bench to bench they don't dry or clean with paper. "Carry a gooddam ✋ towel with you" that'll help to have longer life or the benches, re-rack weight back don't be too lazy, if you drop the weights that's means you're not strong enough go lighter on weight till to become stronger. And get your lazy butt to workout instead of using your cellphone to watch videos or whatever. Let someone else use the them if your too busy with your phone. Stay home save your gym money so you don't have to complain. Care for the gym as it was yours, that way you'll always do a workout at a gym your proud to be member of. Great gym: I left 24hrs for this one. The owner is doing great job at having a better gym every day. To the owner: It would be pretty cool of you to not forget about beach gym, some are red painted and look great but it would be even greater if all of them were repaint red to avoid rusting machines and throw some mirrors.as.a bonus. Thanks.

The switch to Legends Barbell went like this..."Your $10 enhancement fee will be billed on the 1st of every month. The good news is you no longer have a big annual fee($50)" How is that good news? So not only do your monthly dues go up $10 (for just the base package) you also pay an extra $70 a year in maintenance fees, and still no access to the pool and disqusting locker rooms. It was insulting for them to call this good news, might as well get my car payment increased when I get a car wash too lmao!

Equipment is old af and some mostly out of service weekly, except the squat racks. Hip thrust machine never works. They don't care about fixing equipment they just take their sweet time. Contacting corporate.

This gym is really poor on communication they owe people so much money as well as they do to me. It’s been half a year. I can’t believe how a gym can take advantage of so many people without feeling guilty or giving people their money back. I saw a review on how the gym wasn’t giving people their money back just so they don’t go bankrupt is absolutely hysterical. This gym is the worst. People work for their money and may even struggle to get the amount of money they have taken. The fact that the gym was closed and people couldn’t workout and make the money worth is absolutely unprofessional.

Pretty standard but a couple things to keep in mind. 1) No class pass- don’t try to sign up for gym time via class pass even though it’s still “available.” Very strange. But day pass is only $15 which is cheaper than most places. 2) not for people who want to deadlift. No platforms or deadlift jacks or wedges and they only have square-side plates…which are awkward for trying to set your stance in my opinion. The bumper plates are locked up in the “cross fit” area. If you’re a visiting powerlifter, spend the extra $5 to get a day pass at Golds Gym.

First things first the gym ain't perfect but what gym ever is..I'll admit it's a little rough around the edges but you cant beat the atmosphere this gym provides unless you're one of those picky people who think every huge guy in a tank is a douche. The staff are always nice and if your a local then it's a chill environment it's also a great place to meet new people or even meet up with friends. This is a gym for grinders and people who wish to workout without any rules or limits if you want a gym that's pretty, nice, and sounds like a library then you better stay at planet fitness.

I personally love this place, I've been coming here for about 6months now and sure they are much older than most gyms but they recently got new weights and equipment with more changes to come! The place is pretty clean as well and the staff and members are always friendly. What I believe separates this gym from others is, that dog house vibe it has too it if you know what i mean? Other places have strict policies and limitations (too sophisticated); here you can grunt, mentor one another, and motivate yourselves, other newer gyms prohibit such behaviors for they "discourage" others which defeats the whole gym club idea and feels more like a babysitting club lol. Anyways give this gym a try if your a first timer or seasoned athlete.💪

The reason I like to come to this gym is because they have the muscle beach area. No other gym around has that. Workout outside, get fresh air, and vitamin D. I wish they could invest in a hydration station tho to get better water from the fountain

This gym is terrible they changed the name to legends barbell and instead of paying the $50 a year as an anual and maintenance as it was before now they got rid of that but now have to pay 10 dollars a month which is more then before so now for a year it’s $120 in total for the year and on top of that they charge you $20 just to cancel the dam membership 👎👎👎👎👎

THE BEST GYM IN OXNARD IS BACK BABY!! I got my bench back up to 505 for a double and recently squatted 600 in this place. Only a fool wouldn't come here. So much space and so much equipment. Everything is up to code and the place is always sanitary. These guys do a really good job. The other gyms in town need to step their cleaning game up. It's a big gym with tons of equipment that work, unlike a certain cookie cutter gym near food 4 less that shall remain nameless.

Excellent bodybuilding gym. Best in the area. Loads of equipment with variety of different manufacturers. Along with a terrific staff you won't be disappointed. What really sets this gym apart is the amount of space this gym has. Well thought out.

Has most everything you need. Please replace the water machines, preferably one with a bottle fill station.

Frequently visiting this facility, I can confidently say that it stands out as one of, if not the finest swim facilities in the county. Notably, it offers two swimming pools equipped with dedicated lanes for lap swimming. Additionally, a pool featuring a water play park for kids and two waterslides add to its family-friendly appeal. The well-maintained bathroom and locker room facilities enhance the overall experience, while the presence of an ample number of vigilant lifeguards ensures safety at all times. Check the website or call for scheduling and cost.

I've been going to this gym for years now & I absolutely love it! I've tried other gyms in the area & nothing beats this place. They have so many different machines to use & the setup is always great. Recently with covid they've also extended my membership which I appreciate so much! They're GREAT!
