👍👍 Need a break from the lockdown? Head to Franklin and enjoy the gorgeous wilderness right here in the city. We brought our dog and felt totally refreshed after 60 min walking the trails. There are many “off-trail” options too which felt adventurous.

Have you found the center of L.A. yet? It's here among the trails, ducks, turtles, the learning center and the beautiful Santa Monicas. Don't forget your National Parks Passport. You can get that stamped here, too!

A hidden jem. A place to walk or sit in solitude.

Actually few know exactly how beautiful this place is. It's serene calmness, natural beauty, and the sights and sounds are incredible! If more knew it would so crowded! Great time for all who come. Extremely nice for Family to come and commune with Nature and picnic. Good for those who have been over stressed. And right in the middle of L A. too. Who would have thunk it!? My recommendation unfortunately I can ONLY give 5 stars. More closer to 500! Go! See! Do! Experience! Now!

North reservoir is open. The South reservoir has been closed to the public for years. The North reservoir has lost a significant amount of water over last several decades since it was a working reservoir.

I knew this place looked familiar but couldn’t place it. Then I watched The Brady Bunch episode where they go camping at the Grand Canyon. Some of the scenes were filmed here!
