I really liked the restaurant, from the outside it is simple and ordinary, but going inside there is a special atmosphere, live music, the visitors are neat and beautiful, the restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly .. there are paintings by a Russian artist on the walls, I was surprised, but what a beer it’s easy to drink. I'll just add this place to my favorites ..

Three great things: 1. Food 2. European Beer 3. Fine wines The staff is friendly and the right mixture of German / Italian / Czech dishes on the menu. The appetizer of the day was fried mushrooms and cauliflower. The neat thing is you could not tell which was which until you bit into it. My friend had the daily special while I had a personal combo pizza. Both dishes spot on. Then they have several house made desserts where I opted for the warm apple strudel. All in all, a great place to bring a friend, significant other, or your boss / employee. Note that you're going to be here for at least an hour or more. It's not fast food but authentic dishes. Don't bother counting calories.

We were on our road trip across the US and we missed our cuisine. La Tratorria Bohemia made delicious potato pancakes!! We also tried schnitzel with potato salad and Bavarian goulash. Both were awesome! Greetings from Czech Republic. 🍻

Oh my goodness! So delicious! We had beef goulash, chicken schnitzel, spinach ravioli with sausage and pesto (baked), as well as cheese pizza and several appetizers. Everything was amazing! Thank you!

Service was not on point, my guess is that they're short on stuff so they can't take care of a full house on a Sunday. I ordered pork schnitzel, it was a tad over cooked and dry. Potato salad was great and beer too. I'll get back to try some dessert next time

I would have given this restaurant 5 stars but the service was pretty bad The waitress we had this afternoon did not clearly explain where the menus were. She said they were "on the table." She should have said you can pull up the menu on your phone by scanning the tiny code on the mini succulent pot. She greeted us for a minute & then left us sitting there for over 20 minutes and there was hardly anyone there. When she returned we ordered and instead of bringing our drinks out early, she brought them out with the food, and she only brought out 2 plates when there were three of us. She was not clear on the menu or what was gluten free & only when she got a " what's up" look did she agree to check. She started clearing our plates without asking and asked if we wanted boxes before asking if we wanted dessert, AND- We wanted dessert. Then she brought the check out immediately after dessert & made a point of letting us know she was leaving but said, " no rush" like 6 times! We still left her a 20% tip because she seemed so desperate but... We were celebrating our son's graduation & this was a bummer. Also, we thought the radio that was playing news in another language was kind of odd. The food was really good and we want to go back BUT service & atmosphere are important when your eating out. If it was fast food we could care less but they're in the $$$ range so customers expect more.

Unfortunately, this was not up to the standards that we're used to here. It might have been an off night or something, but the food wasn't as good nor the service. We've been here several times and have been very satisfied. I had the chicken salad and asked for no apples, yet it still had apples and it was WAY too dressed with balsamic. So much so, there was a pool at the bottom of the bowl. BF had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with chutney, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The asparagus was well cooked. The potatoes were dry as well as the pork. He was very disappointed with this dish. On top of that, they came back to tell us they ran out of chutney. Seemed unusual so early in the night, since we went at 7ish. Maybe that would've helped with the pork. He didn't finish his food, which is very unusual for him. Because we've had great meals and service before, we will go back and hope it was only a one time not-so-great experience. I hope to continue to recommend this place, but we'll wait and see.

First time at this restaurant, 10/10! My partner and I rode our bikes here and sat out front in their patio. We were immediately greatly by a friendly waitress. The menu had a ton of options, everything sounded good. I’ve never had Czech food before so this was a first. We started with the bread appetizer- which they bake fresh daily- so soft and yummy, with a balsamic garlic basil dipping sauce. We shared the beet and peaches salad with blueberry goat cheese- so much flavor. And we split the entree, Chicken paprikas: it was a dark chicken thigh dish with a creamy red sauce, and hungarian egg noodles and that was FANTASTIC. Perfect comfort food. Everything tasted fresh. I can’t wait to come back and try more.

Always a great experience, and that hasn't changed in the 8 years it's been since my last visit. Super relieved to know covid didn't take this wonderful business down or change the quality of the food and service! No option is a bad choice, but the Chicken Paprikash, pizzas and the daily specials are a sure thing every time.

An absolute neighborhood GEM! First time here tonight, excellent service from the adorable staff, fantastic ambiance and vibe, the whole room was lit up with laughter and joy the entire time and a notable pristine and clean space and the food……THE FOOD! From the bread to the Spinach Ricotta Ravioli to the Pizza….just WOW! They even have gluten free options and were super accommodating for a fellow patron that was in a wheelchair tonight (it’s a small, quaint space and the whole restaurant got up and tucked their chairs in at one point so they could easily get by to their table 😊) and the wine and beer menu is perfect for pairing with the entrees. Can’t wait to go back again 😊😋

This place was everything my friend said it would be🤩 the food was really good! It was my first experience with food from the Czech Republic. First we had the potato pancake as an appetizer which was so good! The combination of the crispy creamy potato pancake with the salty smoked salmon and the capers was so rich and yummy it's definitely enough for two or three people. I had the Bavarian goulash and my friend had the Chicken paprikash, they were both rich, tasty and filling. We also had some really good wine that was suggested to us by our server who was wearing a cute elve costume, it was Halloween. There was live music, and the staff was really friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was so inviting and warm I just loved it and plan on going back soon!

Very good restaurant when you can get a table. Don’t try to come without a reservation. We live a block away and have tried two evenings in a row at 5pm (granted it was a Friday and Saturday). Today it was mostly empty but they still told us they were completely packed, which I take to mean 100% of their tables are held for reservations.

This place is fantastic. I didn't know what to expect with a Czech Italian restaurant, but their bread is top notch. I had the pork picante and it came served on a nice, solid wooden dish that really elevated the experience. That does without saying it was delicious. Price came out to a very reasonable 70$ with two entrees and two glasses of wine. I will definitely be going back.

I ordered the special. Bacon wrapped pork chop. Served over roasted rosemary potatoes with a pear covered in gorganzola cheese. It was fantastic. Even though something happened and they had to remake my dish. The server was very apologetic and attentive. It did not take away from a great dinner

Incredibly delicious 5 star meal! This was more than a meal, this was a cultural and culinary experience! The last time I felt this way was having a fondue dinner in the Alps in Chamonix or Seafood Paella in La Boqueria in Barcelona! The Beef goulash was divine and both flavored and served so beautifully. The service was exceptional and apparently the Czech have the best beer in the world, so there’s that! Go , go, you will not be the same, in the best way!

I’ve been wanting to try La Trattoria Bohemia for a while and my craving for pasta made it the perfect day to go! First off, I love going to private chef-owned restaurants, you just now they’re going to put everything they got into it. The place has got a cool and euro-art deco-ish decor and feel inside. The soft 80’s playing in the background with Simply Red‘s Holding Back The Years and Prince’s Nothing Compares 2U just wrapped it all up nicely. I started with some bread and dipping sauce, nothing out of the ordinary on the menu with garlic, olive oil however when it arrived topped with a pile of fresh chopped basil, that changed the game. The three sourdough slices I had layered with all that was amazing! My entrée was the homemade meat ravioli sauce baked casserole-style with fresh mozzarella cheese. It didn’t disappoint, the fresh pasta and sauce was delicious! In chatting with my friendly server Norma, I complimented her on everything and she asked if I’d like to meet the owner…how could I turn that down? Great conversation with Marco! He came here from Czechoslovakia, had experience cooking Italian food with aspirations of opening a Czech restaurant however didn’t feel he could sell that alone as a cuisine so he combined it with Italian food and here they are, 22 years later! I’m definitely coming back to try to Czech cuisine side of the menu, I highly recommend you tried as well! Cheers, Mel

We were passing by Sacramento and decided to stop by this highly rated restaurant for dinner. It was very easy to make a reservation and didn’t seem to be too busy on a Saturday evening. We ordered a few things and shared between the table: 1) Czech potato pancake (6/10): the pancake was crispy and nice, but I didn’t really enjoy the apple sauce on it. 2) Bohemian potato pancake (9/10): this was a great appetizer! Crispy pancake balances out with the sour cream and smoked salmon. Very delicious. 3) Chicken paprikash (8/10): this was overall really good. Chicken was nice and tender, sauce was well rounded - creamy with plenty of paprika and a hint of tomato, noodles were chewy. The portion was large, enough to feed 2 people. Overall we really liked this dish. 4) Beef goulash (3/10): this dish was really disappointing. The beef was tough, flavor was single dimensional, and it was definitely cold in the middle. We had a few bites and decided not to eat the rest. Overall I think the food was okay - some dishes better than others. However for this price, I would not come back again.

Great food and selections. I have not found anything on the menu I didn't like. This place looks small but there's more seating in back. Great for gatherings. Awesome pizza!

Everyone in our party loved this place. Great Bavarian goulash, sausage platter, chicken paprikish. Cozy atmosphere with good service.

Food was delicious. We wanted to try something different and it was the right decision. More than adequate portions.
