We're wine club members for a while now, really prefer to go to the tasting room in Paso Robles, but hey we live in San Jose, the staff is engaging and well versed, give it a try

Visited in November 2017. Had a Groupon for a wine and cheese pairing. Felt a little rushed because it was near closing time/last appointment spot time but otherwise the staff were super friendly and willing to explain the wines and of course the wine/cheese pairing was pretty good. They are also open daily for free tasting (from what they said)

My nephew and I went there to taste a few different wines, and found many we like. The dessert wine is definitely a memorable experience. We are not wine people of any type. So this was a good experience for the both of us. I would recommend this place to anyone who was a wine experience without driving up to Napa.

July 2023 Update: Blake, the tasting room manager, has done a great job in creating fun and lively events. Wine and Cheese Fridays, food trucks, and music. As always the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Richard, Dana, Shelly, and Annette are all wonderful. Previous: Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent, reasonable priced wines. Tastings are still free-you can choose up to 6. On weekends, you can select the Cuvee's as part of your tasting choices. They also have events on many Wednesday's and Fridays.

Beautiful winery and very attentive staff. Wines were all wonderful. Ray was super friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back!

Awesome wine. Easy location to visit. Great team of people! Mike, took amazing care of my team and I. Aaron, set us up with a nice spot at the bar and together, he and Mike made sure everyone left happy! Definitely going back!

Knowledgable staff with great selection of wines. Wine tasting experience was wonderful. The bottling process can also be seen through an observation window in the back of the store. Well worth the stop and close to the airport for those who want to stop by before returning home.

A great little wine tasting stop. Located on a cool, tree-lined street in San Jose, conveniently on the way to the SAP Center. Jlohr offers a nice selection of wine with no tasting fee. The staff are friendly and helpful. Over all, the vibe is welcoming and relaxed.

A marvelous wine tasting opportunity. While they are one of the largest producers and distributors of wine, the tasting gives you access to their retail wines as well as their members-only and limited production wines. They have large vineyards between Monterey Bay and Paso Robles and source several varieties from others in the Central Coast. Tastings are generally an hour with servings of five wines and great discussions of their many wines and grapes. Interactions with staff makes tastings a very worthwhile experience.

I can't believe this winery is actually in downtown San Jose!

A little part of Napa in San Jose. Minutes from the Rose Garden and the Tank. Great setting for wine tasting, indoors and out. Large parties (5 or more) are encouraged to make reservations. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the wines.

Great tasting experience, went during the week so it wasn't crowded. Very nice atmosphere. Way walking distance to multiple restaurants, we took the time to let our blood alcohol level normalize!
