I’ve told many people that this was my favorite bar in the city and they’re shocked that it’s a seemingly small hole in the wall in a sleepier part of town. That’s precisely its charm. Holy Water has very intimate but welcoming vibe- the decoration and the people are all top notch. The selection of beer is top notch. The bourbon, rye, scotch whisky selection is top notch and actually quite affordable. It’s never too crowded and you can even bring food in. What more can one ask for?

This bar hits all of the marks for us! Fantastic beer selection from local craft breweries, a creative and tasty cocktail menu with great variety, and an extensive bottle list featuring many of our favorites. It's like someone made our ideal bar. I wish we lived closer!

Super great vibes and our incredibly friendly server, John, made great suggestions of cocktails based off of our preferences. Very creative, lots of options, and not too busy when we were there on a Monday afternoon. Huge bonus that they are open earlier than most other bars in the area, which don't open until 5:00 p.m. Not being local, John also gave great recommendations for amazing spots we had to check out in the area - he guided us to a quick hiking trail off Cortland through this Jasmine plant that led to a secret pathway up to a looking point with basically 360° views of the entire city.

One of the best on-tap beer selections around. Atmosphere depends on the day. I've been on quiet weekday nights and also on busy weekend new beer releases. They both have different attractiveness

Drinks are strong but taste good! 10/10 must stop at if you're in the neighborhood. Great tunes, vibe and bartender. 100% will be back!

SWEET JESUS! Yes, this is where JC hangs out for a few drinks with his apostles. His likeness, as well as the main virgin, Mary, are everywhere; along with all sorts of Catholic adornment and ambient lighting. There is even a wall-sized mural of converts getting baptized in a river. And the liquor assortment is unparalleled. This oasis has everything to easily induce classic Catholic guilt. And the heathens will love the camp, cozy surroundings; and the company. And did I tell you the liquor assortment will look like manna from heaven?

All of the delightful Catholic themed irreverence you could ask for, combined with world class cocktails from some of the best bartenders in the city. You couldn't ask for better and it's tucked away on Cortland.

Probably my favorite bar in the city – outstanding mixology, great service, and a very fun space/vibe. Try the “After the Gold Rush” 🤤 Oh and take an Uber, because you won’t be safe to drive afterwards 🤪

Unique atmosphere. Good selection of beer on tap. Loved this place! Reasonably priced. The happy hour is until 6pm.

Nice bar in mission with reasonably priced cocktails. There is no waiter so everyone just seats themselves at either a table or at the bar. We tried four different cocktails and they were all very delicious and uniquely flavored. They did get my boyfriends order wrong but he ended up enjoying the drink

Pricy pricy! Smallish portions good for trying a bunch of dishes. Amazing drinks!!! The atmosphere and decor are amazing. The oysters we got were very good, I wish I could afford more. Got 3 dishes, oysters, and drinks for 2, and dessert. amounted to about $160 + tip

Amazing beers on draft. Cool bartenders. Awesome music. Great vibes. Tons of parking. This place has it all. But please nobody else go so I still have somewhere to sit.

By far my favorite place to grab a Stout beer. Always with an amazing selection of beers and most diverse Stout collection I've seen yet. Staff know thier beers well aswell as thier cocktails. Visited this place over 10 times in the past year wasn't disappointed once.

Likes: Great cocktails. I ordered the After the Gold Rush and really liked it. Nice interior. Dislikes: It’s a small place thus needs better air circulation. Gets stuffy later in the night.

Great beers that rotate often, and good cocktails. They're even on the list of 50 best cocktails in the city. Even better, it's got a good ambiance at night, local friendly feel, and is near a few other good bernal spots. The only downside is the lack of food and the religious theme if you're against (or super into) religion I guess.

Love the ambience and drinks here. Note that during weekend it will be easier drinking than holding a conversation as it gets pretty loud. During the week it’s fine to enjoy a couple of drinks while catching up with your party.
