We have been coming to Waterworks for over 2 years now, and my daughter has enjoyed her every class thoroughly. While we have had a couple of different teachers, my daughter is a big fan of Maya, who has done a terrific job helping her really grow as a swimmer and complete all her levels! My daughter is now joining a competitive team and the feeling is bitter sweet, as we leave waterworks. This is a good place to establish your fundamentals!

Very nice pool. Warm and good place for kids to learn. Making schedule is easy and the manager make it so easy for me. My son is autistic and the manager Lisa get him a good lesson with Miss Caitlin. She is very good and my son makes lots of new swimming skills. Coaches and managers are very good. We are very happy and will keep swimming a long time.

The best swim school for children. Awesome instructors for ages and abilities, exceptionally welcoming to special needs children and adults. Besides swimming classes they also offer lap swim, family swim and birthday parties. The indoor heated pools are great for swimming all year round.

Disappointed! We have been coming here for more than 2 years. We heard good reviews so started coming here. My kid is 6 years old now. I’m not seeing any progress, each week instructors keep doing same thing. I understand it depends on kid. But that is the whole point, kid suppose to progress. Tried different instructors, changed timings, days, tried semi private, private lessons etc. Nothing seems to work. It seems instructors look for very very particular positions. They will not teach new stuff until they are satisfied. I would kid to learn as a life skill. Not sure if paying so much attention on precise hand movement or gesture make sense. Do not want to blame a particular instructor but I’m disappointed with my kid’s progress in many many months. Facility is getting old and outdated, something and something is broken everyday. That’s not my primary concern though. I want my kid to learn.

We are going to the Bascom location for 3 years in a row now. Started with parent and me and now doing regular classes. Francisco is our instructor and we love him! My daughter is 4 and she is now doing back swim. The location is only for the pool, not using other gym pools. There are 2 pools, one for children who cannot float by themselves with warmer water and one for children ready to swim. There are showers and changing rooms. There are hair driers but they are not the best, most of the time they do not work because they get overheated. Overall I recommend this place!

Great place for kids to learn, trainers are awesome with ample patience that our kids have been assigned so far. The front desk staff few particularly don't deserve to be working in public relation. Either the management lack in hiring skilled resources or its a management failure in training these employees after hiring. Teach them empathy, prioritizing, patience, communication is key.

It’s a nice place in general I love the facility. A bit disappointed from instructors demonstrating and guiding other instructors during her private classes. Requested a few times and to add a note that our private classes should focus on the child only. It didn’t really help much, even when we requested the instructor face-to-face. We have put our self on the waitlist for other instructors. Unfortunately after receiving an email letting us know that we have 30 minutes to book our child to other instructor, the portal didn’t have any information of where to reassign our child. We called in and the customer service didn’t have this availability on their side. They did not even know how to guide the parent throughout the portal. Seems like they don’t have any knowledge about it. The three stars is because there are many good instructors there. I believe that like others we prefer to have balance and one instructor.

We went here for our daughters lessons for quite some time. But they started kicking parents out of the seats DURING lessons so that they could prep for evening parties. No on site management that appear to be concerned and off site managers put no stop to it. They appear too focused on profit and not enough on customer service for folks that have already paid for lessons. Strong recommendation to look elsewhere for lessons. ADDENDUM. I posted this 5 months ago and see that I received an apparently concerned response. After countless more back and forth communications where the problem was supposed to be resolved, it continues. Management oversight is unable to assist with poor on site management. Having now experienced what happens when you attempt to resolve things through appropriate communication with management my STRONG recommendation against dealing with Waterworks in any way has only increased. Don't do it.

I love taking my daughter here for swim, especially because her teacher Miss Nallely is phenomenal! She has helped my daughter learn and grow so much in a very short period of time. I really like how flexible the scheduling is, the girls at the front desk always help when I have a make up or I want to create a new schedule. Overall it's a terrific experience for my two year old and I would recommend it to everyone!

Great facilities and staff at Waterworks Aquatics. My two daughters have been going here for quite a while now and they seem to love their lessons, even with covid. The staff is great at ensuring we feel safe in their facility at all times.

I like that there are no toys really involved so teaching can really be the focus. The instructors seem attentive. And although my daughter has only had two classes I don’t like how dirty their bathrooms/changing rooms are and I also don’t like that the instructor will start at times start 1-2 minutes late and end 1-2 minutes early. That makes me feel cheated when I pay so much for these 20 minute classes. All in all, it’s much better than avac.

My 5 (almost 6) y.o.son has been taking swimming lessons with Israel for 3 months. We are so happy with the process and the progress! He was afraid to put his face under water and would ask for a towel after every drop. Now he is swimming and most importantly enjoying swimming very much! And only after 3 months! We are so lucky to have found Israel and Waterworks Aquatics. Online scheduling works well and the whole system is straight forward.

The front desk is unhelpful. The rep doesn’t understand customers needs and only repeats how the system works. The system works for the average cases, but not all of the case. The problem is not resolved due to the rep’s capability. Very disappointing for their service and I probably won’t purchase more lessons with them. **Updates** The general manager reached out for resolving the issue of applying make up credit to the recurring schedules. Honestly I think they should remove the make up credit just use unpaid credit to all upcoming lessons to keep it simple, easy and efficient to both sides. More things can be done through the portal is better. The system is still the same, if the teacher cancels the lessons in the future, we will face the same issue. We have to reach out to someone could help to override the system. The review is updated because the management level is good and care customer’s review and willing to work out with customers.

Nice place for beginners. The warm and clean water, the flexible schedule system, and the nice instructor make here occupied no matter it’s weekly days or weekends. It’s my daughter’s first time to learn swimming here. We are so lucky to meet such an amazing instructor. My daughter is willing to learn and persists in learning because of Natalia. Natalia’s encouragement, guidance, and instructions made my daughter today. She really enjoy swimming in the water! Recommend it!

My son Caleb's been going to Waterworks for the past 6 months. He's enjoyed every one of her class and especially love working with his instructor, Danny. He's definitely improved a lot since coming here and we look forward to the day when he can swim on his own. Definitely recommend this place!

This place is great if you're trying to give your toddler their first swimming experience. The instructors are great and the methodology is very caring, respecting each kid's time while starting with survival basics (literally). My girl had a blast and we always look forward to going to class. Can't recommend it enough!

The classes were not very helpful. Their online reservation system is borderline scam. Classes mysteriously disappear. The portal through which you make payments and reserve classes is buggy and confusing - so much so that it almost feels to be deliberately designed that way, so as to obfuscate the recurring disppearance of paid classes. Tried resolving it multiple time with their customer care, and they were clueless too. Overall frutrating experience.

We've been coming to swim lessons for 4+ years now and the kids have learned so much. My son had a near-drowning experience and was terrified of water now he's jumping in swimming backstroke and all. We love love Caitlyn she is so amazing. The office staff is super friendly and very helpful.

I signed up my little one for swim lessons when she was 7 mos. I was but apprehensive because she was so little but the instructors (Miriam and Jesse) that we’ve had have been wonderful! I don’t know how to swim and have always gotten nervous going into water deeper than 3 feet. During one of the baby’s lessons Jesse encouraged me to go into the 4ft water and I comfortably did it! The facility is nice, nothing fancy but it’s clean and well kept.

Good place to lap swim. Was a former swimmer looking to get back in shape and being able to lap swim at Waterworks is what I needed.

It's nice place, very well maintained and well-qualified and polite teachers. We have been using this facility since 2017, and our kids enjoy going there a lot.

Lessons are fine, but we have had too many lessons cancelled and rescheduling is incredibly difficult. Wish there were more options around us so that we could move on and find a place that didn’t cancel 2 out of every 3 lessons.

I was interested in lap swim. I called to inquire about the facility and if it has a locker/changing room. I spoke with a man who told me no. I was a little confused and learned he is not on site, but at a central call center. Although he was not rude, he was condescending towards me because I wanted to know more about the facility, he kept circling back about registering and booking online. I wish I stayed on the line to leave feedback on him. I called back a few minutes later. Spoke with a lady, Jess, that informed me that the San Jose/bascom location does have a locker room. She was more polite. I don’t even know who to believe at this point. I’m hesitant to book after that first interaction with water aquatics.
