After experiencing extremely difficult medical care at many places, THIS place was a breath of fresh air. I loved the opt-in text reminder (I find this helps me feel good I saved the appt correctly!), the Google online pics were a great intro for my kid, the staff were connected and professional, and Ms. Rafa was WONDERFUL for my daughter's first dentist office experience. The ability to watch a movie is a great touch. Dr. Sjostrom treated me as a competent parent and included me in every step of the treatment process. He also put my daughter at ease and we are actually looking forward to any procedure we need to do with them. My younger son even asked if we could return the next day! A very welcoming, professional, intentional space for kids and parents alike. It met all my hopes for a biodentist atmosphere, and we are confident about what home based habits we need to incorporate for best practices. Thank you for such a great place! Our kids love going here! The staff are always professional and caring. Dr Sjostrom is a very good communicator with parents and kids with what he is doing and usually gives parents options for treatment. We have never had any problems in the 7 years we’ve been going here. He is kind and makes an effort to talk and joke with our kids. I also like that there are tvs overhead that kids can watch and choose what they want to watch. It is a great distraction to ease kids worrries.

Dr. Sjostrom is the best dentist in town, let alone pediatrics! Talk about a medical practice that cares about their patients, both the kids and the parents. Recently we had a dental emergency. He came in and fixed our little boy’s broken front tooth over his own family’s busy holiday weekend. His care and attention to detail was amazing. He and his staff put me at ease and answered all our questions. He also has a gift with kids - my son looks forwards to our visits because it’s a friendly and fun environment. We love this place! I can get the same appt. times for all my kids. There’s usually no wait, so we are in and out. They have video games in the lobby and Netflix in the treatment areas. Bright clean office. Dr. Sjostrom and his staff are super nice and gentle. My kids actually ask when we’re going back to the dentist!

Dr. Sjostrom was great with my boys and easy to deal with. Always friendly service from the receptionists and hygienists as well. My boys are older now and going to our family dentist, but we never had one complaint.

This was a wonderful place with a welcoming environment. We were able to fill out all new patient forms online, which was much better than having to do a clipboard at the place. They were able to access all our old dental records from our old dentist, and get the insurance all sorted out. They had a nice waiting room with a TV playing movies for kids, they were incredibly gentle and friendly with our children, and gave them sugar-free, lollipops and a quarter to use the toy vending machine at the end. Highly recommend for pediatric dentistry, all the staff were wonderful!

I found Sandia Pediatric Dentistry through a whole bunch of moms on Facebook recommending them. I was not disappointed at all. My daughter (2yr old) is VERY shy, but the lady she had clean her teeth made her feel so comfortable she did not cry one time! The staff is so amazing & nice! It takes a lot of patience to work with children and they make it seem so easy. I left with the biggest smile. Thank you!!

Best pediatric dentist in Albuquerque! Dr Sjostrom is thorough, patient, gentle, and does meticulous work. The staff is so good with my kids and always make them feel calm and comfortable. The office is so clean and a fun atmosphere. We love Dr. Sjostrom and all his staff. Could not ask for a better dentist.
