Wow! Whoever set the menu up at this place knows how to match fresh brewed beer and food flavor! Very impressed. Let's face it, the green chile strips are the bomb! Nice portion comfort food, and the fish and chips were plentiful, filling, cooked perfectly and matched perfectly with the Blue Bullet Stout. Green chile mayonnaise was great flavor. Fries were so-so. Nice atmosphere, menu, and beer selection - I'll need to go back next visit to sample more. Wait staff, well... our guy was definitely not excited about anything, and slow. Why can't they acknowledge they see you, and just say they'll be a minute, instead of making eye contact and walking away, leaving you to wonder if you're in a service section or have to go to the bar? I sat there for ten minutes with him passing 3 times, without a word. I don't know, but it's all too common now, I guess. Anyway, great addition to the many breweries in Albuquerque! Really like this place.

My table ordered the raspberry dynamite, nachos, fish and chips, and the bread pudding. The raspberry dynamite was very tart but unique. I had the bread pudding and I loved it, highly recommend. It’s paired with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle sauce, so delicious. There was a 30 minute wait to be seated on a Wednesday night, but environment is great for talking and our server was very friendly all night. I would definitely come back, just for that bread pudding.

We just found this brewery - it’s less than 2 miles from the Albuquerque balloon fiesta. We rode our bikes and it was on a bike path the entire way. Also looks like a fantastic place to watch the balloons rise. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Cool atmosphere. Good food. Good beer. Food is a bit on the pricey side. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. TV’s inside with sports. Would definitely come here again. Family friendly. Staff are nice. Lots of parking outside too. Good beer selection.

Great place to sit and enjoy some brews and food with friends. Ordered the rib sandwich, steel bender burger, and fried green chile. All classic brewery fare and done well. Sat outside midday, and was very hot. The shade umbrellas only cover about half the table, so half the group was in the sun. Other than that their food and beers were great!

Very friendly service with a dog friendly patio. Wide variety of beer that were all good. My favorite was the stout. Good food. The pretzel was awesome. Will go back for sure and recommend.

Seitan wings were nice. Good crisp and particularly enjoyed the BBQ sauce. Would be great if they sauced them more and had a vegan ranch option on the side. But solid.

We absolutely love Steel Bender! It's the best brewery in town! Starting with our favorite beer: Manana Hazy and Red Iron Red and chile strips, yes, they have a bite of spice. 🔥 We got the Royal McDowell and the pulled pork sandwich this time. Pulled pork needed a bit more sauce - very delicious still. The Royal McDowell was so amazing! Green chile cheeseburger - yes, please!! Such a wonderful atmosphere 😀

While here I had the buffalo tots, fried green chile strips, the steel bender burger, the pulled pork sandwich, and the fish & chips. The food was delicious, especially the appetizers but for the price of meals it seems that they try to make up for it by giving you a lot of fries on the side because the portions of the actual meal aren't that big. The service was great and although the food came out fast it didn't come out very warm. I would definitely go here again but mainly for drinks and appetizers.

We have been wanting to try this brewery for a while. We were so surprised at how wonderful all the food was! We waited about 30 min for a table at 1230 on a Sunday, not bad at all. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, it was clean and the food was 5 stars! I would highly recommend trying the deep fried green chile strips. Can't wait to go back and try more items.

We love going to steel Bender whenever we're in town. Definitely want to get there earlier because there is usually a wait. It is a brew pub and they do allow children so during dinner time there's lots of people there. But they do have a wonderful patio and there's a bar where there's no children allowed in. As far as the drinks go I recommend any of their kettle sours but especially the raspberry and the key lime. And if you want a really good green chili stew that's good there. The people that work there are all really nice. And we'll help you make sure to have a good experience there.

We love Steelbender! From the moment we moved here 4-5 years ago, we’ve been a fan of this place. We’ve done everything here from night events, to trivia events, to watching the balloons take off for Balloon Fiesta (with mimosas). Obviously, be careful around dinner times, as it turns into quite a rowdy daycare, as a ton of people seem to bring their young children and infants into the restaurant, which unfortunately wraps around where you sit at the bar. Bring some AirPods!

Second time we have been here, while visiting Albuquerque. Amazing! Service was excellent, great beers and the food is to die for. My favorite is the fried green chile strips. I wish that there was one of these in Denver.

Cool venue with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We were a large group on a Friday night and still got a table fairly quickly. Staff was friendly and welcoming. There was a nice selection of your typical brewery food and everything we ordered was good and came out quic after ordering. Beers were ok and low priced.

As a professional brewer at a local craft brewery nearby, I can say without a doubt that I wholeheartedly enjoyed my experience here today. Today was the 2-year anniversary of employment of our assistant brewer and we chose Steel Bender to celebrate and I was not disappointed. Everything was clean and every beer was on par with the style. A wonderful brewery and I look forward to coming back many more times. The food was crazy good as well. 5 stars.

First time here. Atmosphere was nice, beer was great. Ordered fish and chips which I substituted with side salad and even that was great! You won't come out hungry that's for sure

Well, folks, let me tell you, on paper, this joint looks like the bee's knees! You'd think they've got it all figured out - outdoor seating adorned with more string lights than a disco ball, enough greenery to make a forest blush, and a drink menu packed with local brews that could make a hops farmer proud. But hold onto your cowboy hats, because reality ain't quite as rosy as those twinkling lights. We kicked things off with pretzels and buffalo tots, and I gotta admit, that was like a two-steppin' start to the evening. But then, they served up a burger that thought it was auditioning for a cooking show – an overwhelming egg flavor that left us all clucking and unseasoned meat that had less spice than your grandma's knitting circle. Now, let's talk truffle fries, shall we? They were as exciting as a rodeo without a bull. The service? Well, partner, it was slower than a snail on a Sunday stroll, but we'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt – maybe they had more tumbleweeds than staff. So here's the deal, amigos and amigas, if you find yourself here, stick to the beer, soak in that outdoor ambiance, and just pretend you're at a wild west saloon. Yeehaw, indeed! 🤠🍻

My family and I went here for a birthday lunch. It wasn't busy at all. The restaurant, service and food quality was very good. I was hoping for a little more selection on the menu, but was not disappointed with what I chose. The wins appetizer was great. The pretzels were also very good. Somehow we ordered food before being asked if we wanted drinks beside the complimentary waters and we ended up forgetting to order drinks. Will have to go back to try what they have to offer. Lol.

Can't find a thing to complain about...the service is excellent, staff is friendly, it's always clean, very popular all the time but always a vacant seat at the big beautiful bar, great craft beers, and I saved the very best for last: you will never find a better fish and chips anywhere. Portions are ginormous and prices are good. Great place for a first date, and a second, and a third. Can't go wrong with the Steel Bender Brewyard!
