Absolutely the Best Steak in Albuquerque! I highly recommend the the Prime Rib.and the Blackened Ribeye. Both best at Medium Rare. The best seat in the house is at the grill. Watching and listening to the Chef direct the entire operation and seeing the grill staff following in action is the best entertainment while dining in Albuquerque. Pelican’s West is a must for steak lovers.

The complimentary bread was nice. Especially the fact they actually warmed the bread. Not all restaurants do that. The garlic confit was a nice touch as well. The salad was interesting. They added a whole stock of green onion. I'm assuming that's for decor? Unless we're suppose to cut those ourselves if we wanted them in our salad? A big plus on the fact they chill the plates! The soup of the day was clam chowder which was mediocre to me. Didn't taste fresh as if it was from the sea. Has a strong ingredient in there that tasted like an herb, almost perfume like. Also had small pieces of clam which was barely noticeable. The fish and chips was O.K. We ordered the sweet potato substitution. The fish didn't taste like England though. I have actually tasted the fish and chips there. But the fish wasn't really greasy which was good but the more we ate it it tasted like it was frozen and pre-made. Disappointing that they only have us one fillet. The prime rib tasted really good. It was medium rare. Side was a loaded potato with all the fixings, which tasted good as well. If you're a meat fan definitely get the prime rib medium rare! The salmon was ok. I got a side of rice pilaf. The salmon tasted as if it was previously frozen. Slightly chewy and the flavor was ok. *Note: Protein portions are small. *

We're so delighted that Pelicans West has reopened. The upgrades to the restaurant are stunning and the food is still as good as ever! I LOVE the almond crusted halibut!

The steaks here are the best! Cooked perfectly! Lots of flavor! The most amazing salad...the ranch and blue cheese dressings were delicious. Baked potatoe was very good! Had a nice dinner!

Came here last night on 08/02/2023 with my family to meet up with other people. The atmosphere is traditional yet relaxing. The staff was superb on their part making the night even better. Their food is very good & filling. Personally, their Maryland Crab Cake was my favorite dish there. There was other dishes served but overall, it was quite the nice night experience. I recommend people who’s looking for a family outing and/or out with coworkers to come here. You won’t be disappointed. I took screenshots of some of the dishes. Wish I took more.

They honor our Second Amendment rights!!! The food is delicious. And the presentation of the food is pretty cool, too. Now the price is my only gripe about this place. It's way over priced. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but not $140 good for four people (and that was without drinks). The ambiance is nice, candles at every table, low lighting, could be romantic. But everytime I come here, the place is empty, and I can't help but feel everytime like I'm at the wrong venue. Where is everyone? I want to be where the party's at and it certainly ain't here. How does this place stay in business? By over pricing their meals apparently. Mental note to self to not come back here until I'm rich. But they do honor our 2a, so there's alot to be said there.

Pelicans Westside has just reopened. Tonight had a couple of oysters and burger with onion rings. All was excellent. Chris waited on us and he did a great job. Glad to see they have reopened. Edit: Went back again about a month later. A dozen fresh raw oysters, good size. Baked oysters Rockefeller Excellent salmon and fish and chips spot on. Edit: Went back in late April 2023 with table for 10, not on a weekend. A different server named Chris, who has worked there several years handled the large group wonderfully. Raw oysters and Rockefeller excellent. Crab cakes have tons of crab, not much filler so they are excellent. Crab legs were delicious. Salad large and fresh. Fish and chips spot on again. A wonderful evening for our group on a special occasion. Thanks to all the folks at Pelicans.

One of the best dining experiences we've had. Love this place! Ordered the Samon and the Top Sirloin, cooked to perfection. Both entrees were excellent and the bottomless salad was cool & crisp. Topped off with a wonderful selection of wine & cocktails. Service was outstanding, the entire restuarant has been recently remodeled, including an open kitchen area. Nice ambiance.

My wife and I have chosen Pelicans as our favorite restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary for the past several years. The Prime Rib is exceptional as is the Clam Chowder. The bottomless Salad bowl is more than generous, fresh, crisp and delicious. The atmosphere, as well as your staff, are warm, friendly and inviting. We look forward to every anniversary, and spending a wonderful evening with you is truly a bonus. Blessings!

The Halibut & Sea Bass were absolutely delicious! The only issue was the sauted veggies I got with my Halibut dish. I mentioned to the waiter that the sauted veggies were so salty that I could not eat mine. It was almost like they had soaked the veggies in salt. The waiters only response was " Oh" okay, so did you want a to go box?" Other than that, the fish was amazing.

I am so glad this place opened up again and The food stayed delicious. I was treated for my birthday. A lot of places that serve steak can't seem to get med rare right or have a lack seasoning but this place was spot on. My father loved the fish and chips. My friend said she now has a new fish and chip place. Thank you for signing to me on birthday!

Great service waiter was very good even though it seem to be a bust time for him I recommend the shrimp scampi, it's in linguine. Noodles were cooked almost perfectly marinated with garlic tomatoes and capers so good... Filet was undercooked but seasoned well. Also get the crab cakes!!! It's a must.

Ordered my steak Pittsburgh style. Which means rare. Cut into my steak while the waitress was still at the table. She said absolutely nothing when I cut it open and it was completely well done. Beyond well in my opinion. She also was completely clueless on the menu. Had to look up the FOUR drafts. Couldn’t tell us the differences in sizes of the steaks on the menu. Oh. And they were out of potatoes. Not sure why someone couldn’t just go to Walmart and get more. Completely unacceptable. A steakhouse that doesn’t know how to cook a steak?! I wanted a local steakhouse as I’m from out of town and this was beyond disappointing.

We had a very nice experience at Pelicans for our first visit. We wanted something a little upscale to celebrate our anniversary but still family friendly since we had our toddler in tow. This restaurant really fit the bill. We were seated quickly in a booth as requested and were greeted by our server quickly. The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the mussels for an appetizer and Alaskan king crab for dinner. Well prepared and very FRESH. My husband had the coconut shrimp, which was cooked well and tasty. I am very happy and looking forward to our next visit.

Service was good. Ethan was our waiter and he was excellent. The cook got my steak wrong and he made thing right and gave us a free dessert or to go appetizer. Manager came and spoke as well. Though the steak was over cooked the overall service was great. The combo appetizer was great. My wife enjoyed her shrimp scampi and pasta plate. I would come again and just check to make sure the steak gets cooked to order.

We have waited so long for Pelican's to reopen and it did not disappoint. Excellent service, they take reservations now, and fabulous food and drink. Can't wait to go back!

So happy they have re-opened! The new decor is beautiful. We love the bar atmosphere - it's where we sit - you meet the best people! Great food, good drinks, excellent service at the bar! Our Happy Hour place once again!

The place is beautiful, the fish & chips is the closest thing I’ve ever had to a pub in London. It’s absolutely delicious. The service was great. Unfortunately, I had to take two stars away because the bathrooms have no changing table for babies. It was seriously challenging. I know it seems like something so minor, but when you become a mom this is HUGE especially when it’s too cold to go to the car to change your baby. Yes, I know it’s not a restaurant geared towards kids, but my baby is very well behaved and just sleeps when we’re at restaurants. He caused no issues for others when we were there.

Out of towers and decided on fish with our local friend we were visiting. We ordered the fish and chips which were the best i ever had, the fries had a real distinct flavor of their own, the fish was plump and fresh, the batter crisp and light. My chowder was excellent. Many chowders are too milky and lack clams, not this one. Bottomless salad bowl was crisp, fresh and well presented. Sides of sunflower seeds and croutons topped it off. Trout almondine was very nice. Patrick, our server ,was alert and attentive. Great experience on our first visit to Albuquerque. Oh yes, the calamari was the best we have had and we frequent fresh fish markets in the S. Cal area often. Enough food to enjoy for lunch on our trip back home the following day.

The Bare Minimum. From the sullen greeting at the door to the soggy Calamari, this restaurant is a study in mediocrity. All the fish was limp. Don't call it "crusted" if the crust is sliding off the oily, soggy fish. The Calamari was particularly revolting. Very pleasant server but all-in-all this is not a meal I can recommend. Not worth the price. Not even close.

Excellent sea food. Pricey but worth it. Lobster & steaks, top quality. Large portions. Thick clam chowder and endless salad. Great margaritas & wine list. Excellent service.

Our waiter (Luke) was very nice and attentive throughout our meal and offered a large cake for my birthday. The oysters were ice cold and steaming, respectively. In other words, it was a great night. A great date night location for seafood lovers.

Expect some to drop some coin here, but the food is worth every penny. Highly recommend the Australian lobster tail! Even for a busy Friday night wait staff was very attentive and drinks never emptied. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a seafood restaurant with low lighting and nautical theme. We will be definitely be going there again. It was perfect for our anniversary dinner and were not disappointed one bit.

Came here on a date night with my fiancé. We sat at the oyster bar and it was a lot of fun to watch the kitchen do their thing on a busy Friday night. They have a good team and the service was great. We ordered oysters on the half shell and had some wine. Management is great as they stepped in when they noticed their servers were busy. Will be back!
