I’m so sad to be writing this as so many people have hyped up this location as a great place to grab a bite, but I personally felt that everything I ordered was nowhere near good. I ordered the jinja bowl with miso soup. Firstly, miso soup is not normally a soup that is messed up. The soup tasted sour, watery, bland, and overall not edible. I had 2 sips and knew I could not and would not finish it. I politely put it to the side. For the jinja bowl, the tuna was alright and the fried rice underneath was good, but it was completely lacking flavor and the Brussels sprouts in it were very unpalatable. I don’t normally like a lot of salt and usually choose healthier dishes, but this dish needed something, anything. Very confusing ingredients together in this bowl. It’s almost like a poke bowl, but it’s not. Idk, it’s just not good. I’m surprised to see other reviews liking this dish. I found myself picking out the edamame beans to eat instead. The positive of the night was the staff. They were very friendly, welcoming, quick, efficient, and the only bit of the night we enjoyed - them. Could I have asked them for a meal replacement? I’m sure I could have, but I didn’t want to waste their time nor did I want to stay longer. It’s fair to say we won’t be coming back here, but hopefully others have a better experience.

Dark bar atmosphere. The Asian Caesar salad, with only FIVE grilled shrimp, was flavorful, tho' couldn't taste any lemongrass. Had plenty of pickled ginger piles. Took a long time to arrive. The bartender was nice, but forgot to bring utensils. He also said that the salad was very large , shareable, but wasn't --- was actually a normal size at a high price $18. The classic Margarita was nice - the usual. Worth a try, tho' very pricey.

Hi, so I grew up in a family of 7. Unfortunately, we weren't wealthy so we had to grow up with the mentality to never waste what you receive. I can recall always taking my leftovers and finishing my drinks before I left any restaurant. It is truly rare when I encountered a situation where I literally had to rationalize the signs that I missed as to how did I get here... at this particular restaurant... where I actually didn't want to take the food with me but I knew I shouldn't waste this food/drinks that I had received... where I even thought the positive reviews meant something... To put things in perspective, I felt so bad to tell the waiter or the manager on staff how terrible the food was, or even how bad the drinks tasted, so I lied and thanked them. Told them it was great as I tried to navigate to anything I thought was considered edible on my plate... I paid for the meal, told my server no boxes were needed. I left with my wife and vowed to never return. Forgive me, but if you think this is great food, it's probably because it might be the best of the worst around, maybe... I don't know... The best thing I tasted was the water... The views were nice though...

Is was our first time here.Food Quality is great but everything was SWEET. Our server was super nice but food, soup, sauces, all sweet. We had Duke's Blue Hawaiian drink, it was really good. Tiger shrimp was good but sweet because the lemongrass chili black tiger marinade tasted sweet. It came with sweet pineapple salsa, sweet mint cilantro vinaigrette and sweet Cucumber salad. The Ahi Tempura roll was really delicious but by itself cause of course it came with sweet sauces, sweet ginger and sweet Cucumber salad. Malay Coconut Soup was interesting and good quality but it was SWEET.

Jinja Bar & Bistro was hands down the best restaurant experience I have had in a very long time! Nick our server was very attentive and professional. As well as the manager Jared very professional and proud of his staff. The kitchen staff are also amazing in what they do ,food was on point my husband and I got the “Land and sea” dish with cooked to perfection Beef and Shrimp. With a desert to finish it all off was probably best dessert ever! We got the macadamia nut and coconut tart with gelato. Almost tasted like a pecan pie/Baklava so delicious. I want to thank the entire staff on 9.14.22 for making this a very special occasion for our honeymoon dinner. Will be coming back very soon!!

Atmosphere is amazing! Service is okay but could use some more training. Pot stickers and salad were great but the pad Thai and king pao we’re blah. Maybe we came on a bad night

This place is a little hidden gem. Worth stopping in, the staff is friendly and have good leadership. The food is great too! The lighting could use some work and a few of the booths are to small for a party of four, even our skinny tails didn't fit comfortably, with they would remove the icky pillows too. But hey, it's still worth multiple visits. It was refreshing not to see staff on phones. Some restaurants in Albuquerque must train staff differently.😂

Great food! Seemed a bit understaffed at the moment but got amazing service. I recomend pairing the Shaking Beef with the Spicy Sriracha shrip and if you want a drink, a Mule. Perfect combo of flavors! Just ask to get the shrip at the same time with the beef since its usually an appetizer. The Beef was perfectly cooked with some sweetness to it and the shrip is an amazing palete clenser and at the same time, they enhance each other's flavor. The Mule felt like the perfect drink to go with too. 10/10

I took my mom here and it was a great experience. The food was delicious, prepared well and presented well. The beverages were also handled well. If you go in the evening, get a table by the windows for the delightful view of Albuquerque.

First time coming here and it reminded me of an Islands and Canoe House. The hostess were very friendly and our server Valeria was absolutely amazing and made our experience very enjoyable. Our food was very good although my Mongolian Beef was on the salter side for me. The calamari was nice and tender and the Sriracha Fish and Chips was delicious! Will be back to try other items.

Odd fusion of cultures results in a wonderful meal. Waitstaff manages to be friendly and energetic; combined with the atmosphere, it is a pleasure to dine here. I had the Mongolian Beef - providered peak flavor. Dessert choices should please most. I had the Macadamia and Coconut Tart, and recommend

Went on a Monday for a late lunch Everything was great from start to finish. Great atmosphere, very impressed with the customer service , food was delicious and served hot and promptly, served beautifully(We ordered two different small plates as an appetizer, two main courses and dessert everything was so good ). drinks were really good and a lot of cocktails to choose from. Hostess was very welcoming , she took the Initiative to explain the happy hour a bit and even Checked in on us later when she was passing by, Which I thought was nice considering she wasn’t our waitress. Our waitress was awesome too ,as were the rest of the staff who weren’t even our waiter/waitress either. Also very clean. This was my third birthday lunch I had been on this month and definitely my favorite

I cannot put into words how magical my experience was here. Spectacular food, great music, out of this world service and I haven’t talked about the food yet. Everything was delicious, fast and served piping hot. I will recommend this place to anyone I can and everyone who works here: you made this wow night a wonderful and meaningful experience. 1000 stars!!

First time visiting and enjoyed the food and location. The calamari was delicious but did seem a little scarce on the portion size. That is just a personal opinion....make no mistake the foods were very tasty and did not disappoint. Will be going back in the near future.
