The food was great with the exception of the shrimp tonight.. however managers Alex & Bri visited our table to hear our feedback, which was extremely professional. Everything else was amazing! The atmosphere was Rustic, the customer service was top notch. I would definitely come and visit again for a 2nd take on the shrimp 🍤

Nice place and plenty of parking when I was there! Host was friendly and the server I got he was attentive and friendly. I like the setup it looks different than other places. The food I got was amazing starting with the appetizer. The mini taco tasted good it had flavors and I added some sour cream and avocado and their cheese dip with the tacos and it was delicious! My mouth smacked on that! The other side that came with it was delicious too! It was full of flavor and it wasn’t salty or bland. The chef that cooked it made it good! The main dish I got was chicken with rice and cheese enchiladas with both green and red chili on the chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly to the point were I just had to cut it with my fork only and it was so tender and juicy! My mouth busted an orgasm with the flavors combined with the tender, juicy chicken! It was delicious! The rice was cooked perfectly, soft and flaky with perfect seasoning. It wasn’t bland, mushy or overcooked! It made my meal complete with the chicken. The cheese enchiladas was delicious too! The red chili sauce was tasty and has lots of flavor. The other dish I tried was the red enchiladas with chicken and it was bomb too! This place is delicious and I’ll be going back for some more tasty food! Overall the service was great and the food was delicious! I’ll be back… like the Arnold

It’s been too long since we enjoyed fajitas for Sunday brunch at Gardunos since we moved to the Houston area. Super delicious chips and salsa, more spicy and colorful than Texas’s offerings. Prompt service; friendly; lovely decor and soft background mariachi music. Beef fajitas were melt in your mouth: one half pound order easily filled two hungry adults. Large serving of Blue corn chicken enchiladas were served with good posole. Sopapillas also melt in your mouth, right out of the cooker with NM honey to drizzle and slurp. Bathrooms were cute and tidy. Our booth did have a seat cushion that needs replacement as it was held together with tape. All in all, the meal and ambiance reminded me of The Land of Enchantment where we spent 30 years of our lives. Wish there was one closer to Houston!

So I asked if the waitress if they had a 2 cheese enchilada plate instead of the 3 cheese enchilada plate for $13.50. She replied yes. When I got the bill, I was charged for a combo plate at $18. When I questioned the bill the waitress replied that's what I asked for! Really? Why would I want to pay $18 for a 2 enchilada plate when the 3 enchilada plate is $13.50? The manager came over and changed the bill to $13.50. Really? I only got 2 enchiladas not 3. So when I asked for my 3rd enchilada that I didn't get yet I was being charged for, she told me to calm down. I was calm. I told her to calm down. Then she stated for me not to speak to her that way in her restaurant! How rude! I will never go back! The food was terrible and the salsa tasted like it was made from ketchup! Don't come here! Waitress was incompetent and wouldn't own her mistake and the manager/owner was very rude!

Will admit was a little busy but as it was the first day of the 50th Anniversary of the International Balloon Festival, we still got amazing food and great service. Our waiter was attentive and helped us with decisions on meals. Thank you and keep up the great work..

Spot on what we needed. Brought our daughter to experience the food and hospitality. Garduno's did not dissapoint. We all ordered burritos. 1 Beef, 1 chicken, and 1 Machaca. The Machaca burrito is the most flavorful burrito I have ever had. Service was excellent, we were well tended to and taken care of.

Not a bad place. We had the enchilada plate, beef fajitas, and chili relleno with stuffed sopapilla. Pricing is on par with El Patron but plates are smaller and doesn't seem to be seasoned. Service was excellent though.

The staff was awesome and the food was delicious! Their cucumber margarita was refreshing. They can seat big parties at least up to 40! We will definitely be back! Thank you Garduno’s staff and kitchen!

The food is a 5! The service makes it a 4. Service was slow but food was incredible. Love the sweet corn cakes and sopapillas. Iced tea is great too. After a return trip 2/15/23, and excellent service from Renae (for me and four others) I’m changing my rating to a 5 across the board. Same great New Mexican food and delicious corn cakes (that you can’t find anywhere else) plus exceptional service from Renae. Thank you.

It took us 1 hour and 10 mins to get our food after placing our order and it was only a party of 5. People seated after us with parties of 4 and 5 got their food before us. My daughter ordered impossible meat enchiladas and i tasted it with my real meat side by side after she questioned the taste and it tasted exactly like mine so it was real meat even though they charged us $3 extra for the fake meat. This was the 1st time visiting gardunos in about 5 years and it looks like it will be another 5 years until i return if at all we wont let it ruin our mothers day because we did get quality time together while we waited

1st went next door to los cuates a lil after 4pm and the said a 45 minute wait, so came here to Gardunos which its been awhile, however thankful we came. No wait, we were sat right away and our food came out soon after ordering. Great service, and good food exactly what we were looking for. This was our first time coming to this restaurant after having discovering through google. We had no idea how amazing of a restaurant it was. Not only was the service great but the food was absolutely delicious and filling. We’d like to mention an amazing person, who was our waiter, with such great charisma, honest&hard working, and overall nice. Her name is Rena’e and if you go there you can tell who she is from her fast service a soothing voice and great hospitality. My mother and I had a great time there! 100% recommend.

Well I have been coming to Gardunio's for well over 25 years. This was the 1st time that I was disappointed. Our food was great as always. The server on the ball. Now lets move to the Drinks. I don't like alot of ice in my drinks. That being said I ask for easy ice. Did the bartender advise me he was going to charge me extra to not put a full glass of ice in my drink? Nope!!! It's not that $1.00 is alot. Its the principle. You didn't give me 2 Whatever ounces of alcohol you gave me exactly 2 you didnt give me more juice you poured exactly the amount needed. As you can see very clearly you didnt actually go easy on the ice either. So basically you as a bartender are stealing from your customers. Stop this practice now or this type of service will end up on the 5 o'clock news. This has soured my long good experiences with yall. This person will never darken yalls doors again.

When we got there the host sat us but didn't set our table. We sat and all passed out our cutlery and menus. We arrived from AZ with hopes of having a spicy pasta dish that was no longer on menu, but tastes of chili was great, although food didn't taste like authentic Mexican food.

This has been my favorite restaurant for over 12 years. Legit New Mexican food. I used to go very frequently. After the pandemic they changed their menu and their prices increased so now I don't go as often . They need to bring back their original lunch special items (combo plates) and taco bar. The food here is delicious!

The new hostess was great. My order was to go and already paid for. She recommended sopapilla fries which were so yummy! We will definitely order those again!

A great overall experience. Food and service were both excellent! Marked down the atmosphere rating because we were seated by the entrance to the restrooms.

The menu still has not returned to what it once was before covid. This is my son's favorite place however he only likes to order chili cheese fries, it's not on the menu but this is New Mexico you would think that would be easy but every single time we order it it's different, either the plate is so small it could barely count as a side or they totally screw it up like the one time they brought it out as sopapilla fries. The prices have also been inflated to ridiculous prices for Mexican food, a chicken burrito should not be the same price as a steak dinner at another restaurant. Really hope this one doesn't die off like the other location but it's really going downhill.

We have been long time patrons of this restaurant. The tostada chips are hard. The salsa was small. We were told that there are no longer refills. We would have to pay the full price for additional chips and salsa. The food was good and our sever was great. I leave here disappointed.

Service was great! The margaritas were delicious and the salsa was yummy and spicy.

Their happy hour is great! I got three “mini” tacos for $6 and I thought it would be some tiny tacos but they filled me right up! It was a great place to go catch up with an old friend. Definitely going back soon!

Our experience was absolutely wonderful. The food was excellent, the margarita was excellent, and the service was excellent. The sopapilla's were crispy and delicious, and I would definitely eat here again. The jalapeno margarita is highly recommended!

We sat at the bar for chips and a drink while we waited for our to go order. The bartender was wonderful and friendly. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Food was good and large portions.

Great food. Great staff. They are currently a bit under staffed so please be patient. The tamales are my favorite. The fajitas are great also.

Nick was a great server. Other than the order of nachos still coming from the kitchen with jalapenos (didn't want it too spicy for the kiddo), the service and food delivery was excellent and friendly. Will be back soon!

It was 3 siblings with there mom and a brother in law having a meal together for the first time in over 20 years. The meal was very satisfactory and so was the service. There were some friendly people to. Thank you. If I were rating the food and drinks, only, I’d say 5 stars. Consistently, the service is sub-par. Unfortunately, the food is so fabulous, that I’ll accept sub-par service. So yes. Eat here. Just not when you’re tired, super-hungry, or prefer to have napkins before the actual entrees arrive. The best service we’ve had was at the bar. The bartender was on point with both food and drinks.
