The food has always been good here at O’hares, but this is one of the most dishonest things I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. Our friend just ordered a water (we were there as a big group but she couldn’t eat), and they brought her a check charging her a $1 “living wage surcharge”. We then noticed that ALL of our checks had this charge on them. In a pathetic attempt to justify this scam, they put a small paragraph explaining the charge at the bottom of the receipt. There was no warning about this charge on the menu or anywhere in the restaurant to make us aware of it before we ordered. They claim it’s to “keep menu prices low”, but that’s dishonest. It’s not keeping prices low, it’s LYING ABOUT THE PRICES TO MAKE THEM SEEM CHEAPER AND THEN CHARGING MORE THAN THEIR MENU SAYS AFTER CUSTOMERS HAVE ALREADY EATEN AND CAN’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. If you want to pay your employees more, that’s fine, but be honest about it and RAISE YOUR PRICES TO ACCURATELY REPRESENT WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WILL BE PAYING. We will no longer be supporting this restaurant. Stay away from it.

It was great, I'd definitely come back. The waitress attended us well, everyone was respectful and helpful. I enjoyed my food as well, next time I'll have to try out some of the dessert.

IF YOU are looking for GLUTEN FREE GOODNESS & GREAT Service this is your Pub! The menu is clearly marked with GF items or things they will make GF for you. All the servers, bartenders, and host staff are so kind and fun. Have been here several times with my Godparents & absolutely had to post this time. For all you Leprechauns out there, they are ready for YOU 🍀🍻💚 Some of the most beautiful decorations I’ve ever seen and I’ve done 🍀 Day in most major cities from Chi to NY ❕

This place did not disappoint. Before I mention the food I would like to point out that the service here was great. I notice many people say the quality of food has gone down, but being my first time dining here I was still impressed by the quality of the food. Although the portions are not the largest the food was delicious. We ordered the Pot O'Golden Fried Veggies, Southwest Steak Sandwich, and The Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. Don't let the images fool you, although the portions look small in the images they are still enough to be worth the price especially considering the taste of the meals. The fried veggies were not as crispy as I would have hoped, but the onion rings as a side definitely made up for that with their crispness. The steak in the sandwich was cooked well and the queso on it was in my opinion the best part. The chicken was very juicy and cooked just right with a good crisp. The sauce was not over powering either giving the sandwich a good balance of flavor. The prices on the menu are a bit high but with prices going up everywhere and their quality of food it's to be expected. Will definitely dine here again to try out other items on the menu.

I was at O'Hare's on oct. 21st and I ordered a pastrami sandwich I've eaten there many times but it had been awhile. The sandwich was one slice of meat a skinny slice of pickle and some watery dip. It looked lost on a dinner plate. The bread was from a commercial loaf of bread, honestly I've seen kids plates with larger portions. REALLY one slice of meat all for the price of 17.00. I did get a side salad which was okay. I will never be going back to O'Hare"s again What a disappointment.

First time there, and the last too. Got one of the Pub Favorites, Fish and Chips. The Cod wasn't cooked, raw in the center. Menu says comes with fries and Cole Slaw. I got potato wedges. The Cole Slaw had no dressing at all. I got a burger patty (just a patty) to go for the dog...$11.00. A lady came and looked at the food that we had placed in a to go box. She handled it with her fingers and placed in back in the box...really! Cajun Shrimp BLT...skimpy. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Been going here since the 90s. The food is good and consistent. Nice staff. I recommend the French dip, prime rib on Fridays, sesame shrimp, the pot of gold, burgers, and so much more. Definitely go try it for yourself!!

Good food and clean atmosphere. A little too noisy for me. I ordered pulled pork sandwich with fries and a steak and potato soup both were fantastic. My fiance ordered the open face Pot Roast Sandwich which was good but I think the gravy was little on the heavy side with whiskey or something too strong for me. No military discount. Delicious food will try it again.

Lizzy was our waitress Wonderful experience. It was our 1stvtime here and soo worth the stop. We started with a pot of gold appetizer ( fried zucchini ) BEST IN TOWN!!! Mozzarella cheese sticks Yummy. Buffalo chicken sandwich , Chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes all from scratch with a green chili white gravy and Sautee vegetables so good we could not finish our meals.Thank you Lizzy for the recommendations and the refills. It was a Special night out and we will be back to try the rest of the menu soon.

We had the Serena cream pasta and the chicken parmesan pasta. Both were pretty good. We also had the chili con queso but it came out kind of cold. Everything was priced very good other than the queso was kind of expensive for what you get.

A mistake on our part. Not a five star restaurant but good food at a reasonable price. Morgan was the best waitress we have had for a very long time.

The chips and queso were fantastic, the sesame shrimp was cooked perfectly and delicious and my wife loved the pulled pork sandwich. The service was top notch and was seated immediately.

Decided to come here since we just moved to the area, and are always on the look-out for gluten free options. Was happy to see that there are quite a few options on the menu. Our sandwiches were a little on the small side, and my fries were very greasy and soggy. Regardless, the food tasted good, and we will be back, but maybe for lunch next time.

It's just a little strange how different eating out is post pandemic. Menus are smaller, and dining hours vary and service as a whole is, I don't know... Just less everywhere you go. That said it was a fine experience. It was food. Service was fair. I wish they would bring back their old menu. Sure miss the the seafood Lasagna and the days of the car shows.

Good food, great drinks, we generally get the same server so the service we have had is exemplary. They have limited vegan options but are very accommodating and can do modifications. Thus far, it has always been a great weekend visit.

Better fish and chips at Long John Silvers. Food was overpriced and not good. Service was a bit slow. The Irish Coffee, however, was delicious. At least they did one thing right!

This was my first visit. I went with 2 friends. All our lunches were very good, the pastrami and pulled pork sandwiches, and a creamy pasta dish. The waiter was delightful and efficient. The only thing to b aware of is that it didn't open for lunch until noon vs 11 am as expected. It was worth the wait! We just did a little shopping until it opened. We'll be back for sure. We were even planning what we wanted to try next time as it all looked very yummy! Yes, I'm retired so a tad more focused on food than in my younger days.😁The fresh fruit was great and I'll definitely get it next time.

O’Hare’s is guaranteed good, each and every time. Their reuben sandwiches have to be the best I’ve ever had, and their burgers as well. Very nice atmosphere and service. Highly recommend!

I use to frequent O’Hare‘s before the pandemic. It was always very, very good. I returned on 12/23/22 with a friend for lunch. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with waffle fries. My sandwich was made with the heel of the loaf of bread one of the other slices of bread was stale. My waffle fries were saturated in oil. I ordered the kids plate for my granddaughter, mini burgers which were very good. The french fries she received were also saturated in grease. I was very very disappointed. I did not complain at the time I do not like to send my food back to the kitchen , I just deal with it at the time. Not sure if I will ever go back.

We have enjoyed eating here for years.I recommend their Black & Bleu burger or fish and chips. Casual atmosphere with speedy service. We ate here recently on a crowded Friday night, surprisingly we did not have to wait at all, as we came in the door and were shown right to our table and our order was out in 10 min. It amazed my Wife and I. It's a great neighborhood pub. We highly recommend it as it is not a franchise pub but a truly "local Cheers style" pub and you will really notice the difference.

Nice spot good food... had ordered an item and never received it.. was on the bill so told the waiter that was his tip if he took it off... overall good place to eat, simple mistake will not deter me from dining here in the future...

Excellent variety of foods for a group with fussy eaters! Food was outstanding, large portions and reasonably priced. Simon was our waiter and was very attentive, nice, polite and a pleasure to have serve us. Everyone welcomed you when you came in and said goodbye when you left. Atmosphere was so nice, friendly and smiles abound. One in our group had steak it was cooked perfectly and I would suggest to try one of their desserts. I gained 5 pounds looking at it and enjoyed every single bite. Highly recommend!

I ordered the Shrimp BLT and for the price, it wasn't worth it. I recognize things are expensive now but when you advertise a Shrimp BLT, I expect more than one slice of bacon. One slice? Also, the construction of the sandwich needs attention. When you cut a loaf of bread, don't put the guacamole in the hinge, spread it out across the bread, share the wealth. I was one of the first customers when they opened in the nineties, but since the original owners and employees have moved on, the place is not the same. The original owners and employees ran a very tight ship.

Ordered fish and chips to go. Awesome! Ready to go when promised. Huge serving. Hot and delicious. Only issue was no napkins or utensils. Will definitely be going back.

We liked the place. As a displaced New Yorker, I was intrigued by the New York style Pastrami sandwich. Awful! Not even close to New York style. I was hoping for the best, but got a lot less. Everyone else in the party enjoyed their meal, so I have to give you 4 stars. We will return, but I will avoid the pastrami.

Kind of a hole in a wall, but a nice, clean little place! Bar is stocked with plenty of tap beers and spirits. Staff was super nice and friendly. Only left 4 stars because I didn’t eat their food…it all looked really good, though! I will definitely come back!

I’m not big on seafood since we aren’t near an ocean; however, the fish and chips were excellent, light and crispy cooked perfectly; the chips were fresh and tasted excellent and the coleslaw was on point as well. Brilliant job all around.

My favorite place to eat hands down. Drinks are great food is amazing. And the servers always make me feel welcome. Haven't had to wait for a table or long for my food and best pot roast and fried mushrooms that I've had! Love you guys and can't wait to go again.
