The beers are on point. They are top of the line ( Albuquerque has some great brew beers so that's a boast). As for the food, It's almost where it could be for the price, missing that extra boost (like a bag of chips?) . The staff is very quick and top notch ( which gives them that extra star). Great team work!

Decent beer and they do have a kitchen. I got a brat and the pretzel, both of which were good. My wife got the French dip which was very good. Seems like dogs were allowed on the patio and I met a dope husky.

The Canteen allows you to seat yourself, and there’s both indoor and outdoor dining. The food consists of noshes, soups, salads, and sandwiches. They do not have a full kitchen, which is why the food tends toward being more prep-and-serve rather than traditional cooked bar food. I had the Pigmac (presumably a play on the name of McDonald’s Big Mac), which had pulled pork, Carolina BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and Hatch chile slaw. I thought the sandwich was fine, but thought there was going to be BBQ sauce on the sandwich as a condiment as well rather than in just the meat mixture. I couldn’t really taste any of the chile in the sandwich, so that wouldn’t be a draw for me to get it again. The sandwich came with a pickle spear and bag of potato chips. I had the Canteen apple cider (6.0%), a year round offering. It wasn’t too sharp or dry. It’s the only cider on the menu. I believe the establishment is open serve rather than servers having assigned tables. That wasn’t an issue at all; the service was attentive. Overall, a fine place. I think the Canteen would benefit from an expanded/full kitchen and expanded cider menu. I’d likely go back if friends wanted to meet and play cards, as it seems like a chill place, but the food wouldn’t be a draw on my end.

First time visiting. Loved it. Got a flight, the butcher's board, and a pretzel. All beers were delicious, which is my main criteria for a brew house. Food was good and delivered quickly by an awesome staff member. She was knowledgeable about the beers and super friendly. Definitely recommend.

Stopped by to try Panama Joe and decided to try a flight. Lots of dark's and IPA'S to choose from. All winners eo far. Ordered the Frito pie and charcuterie plate. Delighted with both. Generous portion of Frito pie, spiced perfectly. Charcuterie plate had 2 meats, 3 cheeses, olives, pickles carrots, and gerkins with flat bread for conveying everything to your mouth. Would order everything again.

Patio is dog friendly, little spot of heaven in the middle of industrial area, but don’t let that scare you! Food and beer are delicious and patio is quiet and relaxing!

Nice spot. Live music is often out on the patio: check their website. Great outdoor seating area replete with swings! Terrific beer (Flashback IPA is my personal go-to), food & service. Very dog friendly...which I really appreciate.

I believe it is the oldest running brewery in Albuquerque. Many awards and the beers are that good. Great outdoor patio with heaters that work very well. Good food as well. I like the Cubano.

Haven't been there for years. Great beer selection, a little limited but if you know what you like, you cant go wrong. I think a band was doing sound check when we were leaving, on a Sunday afternoon.

Their beer is legit. Had the Amber then the brown. Cubano sandwich as good as I've had anywhere. Cool atmosphere. Live music. Staff was great on a busy Friday night.

Not a great experience. This was my first time here. I sat at the bar and the first guy behind the bar ignored me, not even a head nod much less a hello. The second guy says “You know what you want?” No, I’ve never been here. The guy says well, there’s menus over by the front door if you wanna go get one. No asking what I might be interested in, any descriptions of their beers, nothing. I ordered some food, which was fine, ate half of it and left. Didn’t even finish the beer. I won’t be back.

Traveling thru New Mexico & decided on getting take out from here due to the menu sounding delicious. So happy we chose this. Ordered multiple entrees to go and all were spectacular. Staff was so friendly, bathroom clean and the outdoor patio was so inviting. Wish we could’ve stay for a beer. Definitely returning when we’re back in Albuquerque!

Admittedly, this rating is a bit biased. I have had many different beers at Canteen Brewhouse. They range from okay to absolutely fantastic! One of my favorites is their citrus wheat, which I believe is only available during the summer. The orange flavor was balanced nicely with the hops and barley. The food can be hit or miss. I have ordered the pretzel on separate occasions. While the pretzel came out PERFECT the second and third time I ordered it, the first time it came out dry and hard. Of the sandwiches they have, I recommend the Pigmac. The pork is cooked nice and tender, and there is more flavorful juices than Tropicana inside. You need hefty bread for it not to get soggy! I have also had the cubano, which is decent at best, and the Frenchie, which is quite good. I'd give Canteen 4 stars, but they earned 5. Why? It is the first place where I actually had a good IPA. Rare!

Friggin awesome selection!! Great waitstaff, quiet atmosphere, nice patio. Good bar food selection. Just in town for a week, may try to make a second stop before heading home to Minnesota. Thank you.

Really great food, really really great atmosphere, and the beers are also good. They had a band playing and it was so much fun. The outdoor area is top notch. Definitely a place I would put on my list to visit for the summer.

Went to go see the Mangy Jazz Band. Outdoor patio was spacious. Service was good. Often enough to get food and drinks, not so frequent as to be annoying. Did not have a beer so can't speak to that. The pretzel I had was huge and delicious.

Traveling through and ratings looked good. What a hidden gem. Beers were on point. Tap master was beyond excellent. Food was top notch for pub food. All just a great experience. To top it all off, it was UNO night. Had some sweet ladies offer to play with our family, turned out great. And to boot they pd part of our tab! Great overall experience with some unknown place that’s a hidden gem. Keep up the great work and atmosphere!

love this place, the atmosphere and the beer. the service is also amazing. i do have to say that i can't give 5 stars because despite their having a great range of gluten-removed beers, it's unfortunate that they don't have any real gluten-free options on the menu, so this limits the times I can go here since the food is usually a part of the experience. also, i do with they had something non-alcoholic besides root beer. while great, it would be nice to have something like kombucha since so many other breweries in town do this. amazing place otherwise!

Nice place, though the neighborhood looked a little sketchy. Food was great, waitress was appropriately attentive, beer was good. The patio was a nice place to bring the pooch. I had a Cubano, which was more Cubano inspired than authentic but it was still tasty. Wife had the pulled pork, which was excellent. Best done pulled pork I've run into in NM anyway. Give them a try!

Beer selection was good. I enjoyed a flight and a full pineapple cider. We had a couple Sammies and a loaded Frito pie. All excellent. A local band played. The Vagabonds maybe?? Very good. Overall a very pleasant experience. Dog friendly.

All 5 Stars earned for this Brewery from me. Love the Seasonal Beers, the Customer Care upon entering this Brewery & the Staff that are here. They are not afraid to recommend or hand out Samples of Beers to their Customers for tasting. They are also very interested in & listening to Customers like me who are looking for specific types/makes of Beers & passing them onto their Brewmaster for consideration of upcoming new Beer releases. I love that too. I also look forward to & hope that the PASS GO PALE ALE which I have rated at a (9.1) out of (10), is brought back soon as per my suggestion to them because they do seem to care & respect what their Customers want & are looking for in Beers. A++++
