Where do I start??? Oh yeah the Best Margaritas Ever!!!! Food was also great. Friendly staff and excellent recommendations. If you haven't had their Coconut Margarita yet.... I'm sorry and you have to try it. Like right this minute.

We drive in from Phoenix and someone recommended this restaurant and I never usually write reviews but I was so hungry and it was so horrible I had to. I ordered the grilled chicken with cheese, avocado slices and queso over it. The chicken was thick and dry so I cut each bite in half so I would get more flavor. It still was not that flavourful, so I noticed it had no queso on it. Luckily my son had a small queso on his plate and i poured it on part of my chickenbut it was lukewarm by this time. I ate the enchilada and squash that was on the plate but our server recommended Christmas sauce and it was just red. When she finally came back, I told her it was not made right and how I had to doctor it with my sons sauce. She offered to get me some queso but we were almost done by this time . I then told her about the Christmas sauce and she said it was her fault it wasn't on it. I would gladly have paid for a cheese enchilada and the squash because I ate it but she made no offer to take it off the bill or make it good for us. I tipped her the 20% because the world is hard enough getting back after the Pandemic but not having the customer service could cost this business eventually. After driving all day and no lunch, i was so looking forward to a great meal this was so disappointing that I felt a review was warranted.

Pretty good, clean and nice atmosphere, but for the price of the food I was unimpressed. First, there was a limited menu, that was underwhelming. Second, the portions were very small, and the food wasn’t super great. It wasn’t bad by any means, but again, for the price, I was expecting a lot more.

Probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in Albuquerque. The hostess was extremely rude and unhelpful. Our waiter was very friendly and tried to please us, but he was obviously overwhelmed with the number of tables he was serving. Our food order took at least 45 minutes to be served. Two orders were incorrect. The food was lukewarm and SALTY. This isn’t even tourist food. Not good at all. I would never recommend dining here.

I’m not gonna lie the service was terrible. Waited for drinks for about 30 minutes to only get Shirley Temple’s. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. If you’re a tourist, you’ll enjoy the overpriced food with the small portions.

It had been several years since I’d eaten here. Not sure why it took us so long to come back. Loved the chips and salsa, the fajitas were excellent and the cheese dip was delicious. Excellent service from our waiter who kept the refills coming. Also loved the ambiance.

Came here with an old friend of mine and REALLY enjoyed the authentic food. As an individual in the Hispanic culture, their food matched it. The green sauce is my favorite! If you get the chance, Lauren is a great waitress and an even better bartender than the guy bartender. She had fixed our drinks when they came out wrong and helped us decide what entree to get as new tourist to New Mexico. Definitely keeping this place on my list for places to re-visit.

The Margarita was really good, and it's a fun atmosphere. Bartender was very busy, but when she caught up, she was sweet.

20 minutes to just get chips and salsa. Waitress then proceeded to take orders of tables that arrived after ours since we were waiting without complaining like other tables. We left, don’t take people’s kindness for granted.

I recently dined at Gardunos restaurant and had an incredible experience. The food was absolutely amazing, exceeding my expectations. The flavors were rich, and each dish was prepared with great attention to detail. Additionally, the waitress provided exceptional service throughout the meal. She was not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, making me feel welcomed and ensuring that all my needs were met. Overall, Gardunos is a fantastic dining establishment, delivering both outstanding cuisine and outstanding service.

This restaurant is in the Hotel Albuquerque. The service was very slow and the menu was limited compared to their usual menu. The size of the green chili stew was very small and the tortillas that come with it are the small taco size tortillas instead of a nice large one. The chimichanga was excellent however I ordered green and red chili which was supposed to come on top of the chimichanga and it was not there. Our server forgot about us a number of times so we had to ask the host to refill our drinks and go grab us some cheese. Overall it was an okay experience and the food was really good. But we probably won’t go to this location again.

They were swamped with a prom group seems everything was off so we sat at the bar. Waited a good 20 min to be acknowledged then glassware ran out so we got plastic cups got chips and salsa toward the end of the meal. Overall not a good look for this staple in NM.

Can be loud when crowded, despite that they’re efficient, friendly and serve good food! We split a very reasonably priced mountain of fajitas. They were very good. One great margarita was followed by a second one the tasted like a completely different beverage. Stuff happens, it was removed from the tab. Service was friendly and efficient. If I’m in the area again, I’d happily return.

Delicious and spicy salsa! The best staff, we enjoyed every meal and drink we had here. Worth stopping by even if you're not staying in the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Mexican restaurant located within Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was immersed in the rich ambiance that perfectly complemented the tantalizing flavors of the Mexican cuisine. The menu offered an extensive selection of traditional Mexican dishes, each one bursting with authentic flavors and expertly crafted with the freshest ingredients. From the sizzling fajitas to the mouthwatering enchiladas, every bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to delivering an outstanding culinary experience. However, what truly elevated my dining experience was the exceptional service provided by our server, George. From the moment he greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, it was evident that we were in for a treat. George's extensive knowledge of the menu and his genuine passion for the cuisine shone through as he guided us through the diverse array of options, recommending the perfect dishes to suit our preferences. Throughout the evening, George's attentiveness and impeccable timing ensured that our glasses were never empty and our dining experience flowed seamlessly. He was always available to answer any questions, offer suggestions, and accommodate any special requests with a graciousness that made us feel valued and well taken care of. George's professionalism was matched by his friendly demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. His warmth and personalized approach elevated our dining experience to one that was not only delicious but also memorable. Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant was outstanding. The traditional Mexican decor, combined with warm lighting and comfortable seating, created a cozy and inviting atmosphere that added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The live music playing in the background added a touch of authenticity and further enhanced the dining experience. In conclusion, the Mexican restaurant at Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town provides an exceptional dining experience that goes beyond the exquisite flavors of its cuisine. George, our server, exemplified the pinnacle of professionalism, offering impeccable service with a genuine passion for ensuring our satisfaction. Combined with the restaurant's vibrant ambiance and delectable menu, my visit was truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic Mexican culinary adventure and outstanding service.

Ended up at Garduno's for breakfast last weekend. The food was delicious, service friendly, and the pork breakfast sausage was incredible. Loved the red chile and scrambled eggs with cheese. Excellent potatoes - cooked perfectly. Too much food to eat all of it! Would recommend to all our Albuquerque friends and family around the Old Town area.

Wait time for service was very slow. Food was excellent. Parking was simple. Atmosphere was fine. Didn't see Gardunos sign out front. We had to drive around to figure out where it was. Then, we were asked if we had reservations. The place was empty and we still waited for a table.. for my 38th . Happy the food turned out great!

Oh my goodness. Delicious! I recommend the tequila flight for an experience. The food and drinks were incredible and David our server was so personable. Next time I visit ABQ I will definitely hit up Garduño’s.

My wife and I came here because it looked like a decent restaurant. Let me start by saying our waitress Destiny was our only saving grace for this experience. The service was extremely slow but it’s thanksgiving so we were understanding. Our bartender, DeAndria and hostess were terrible, the hostess couldn’t be bothered to seat us be she must have been sending some VERY important text messages. It took over a half hour to get our first round of drinks. We ordered another two margaritas after dinner, the total was $25, we gave her $30 cash, she scoffed and said “do you need change” I planned on tipping her a decent amount until she said that. Left her the $5 and went on our way. Also, the margaritas suck, are in a plastic glass, and the house charges a 24% gratuity automatically

It had been awhile since we decided to give this another try. Previous two times the food was awful. We love the atmosphere there, so we decided to drive in for another try (40 minute drive). 1. Didn't have our reservation. Ok, put us down and we will wait the 20-25 minutes per hostess. 2. 20 minutes into our wait, my husband laughs and says he could make another reservation for 7:15 5 minutes from then and I laugh that there will be no need. 3. Continue to watch multiple tables leave and no one is being seated. 4. 45 minutes later, we are still waiting! My husband speaks to the manager who states he will get us a table as soon as he can???? 5. We left to drive our 40 minute drive home to heat up soup. I will NEVER go back!!!

The service could be better by the host and waitress. The waitress was confused on everything on the menu. We had paid for extra tortillas but she forgot to bring it to us. We enjoyed the food and the live music. I will recommend only if you like trying new places to eat

New Mexican cuisine is my favorite, and Garduño's is yummy. I asked for the Chef's Best, and was presented with a Carne Adovada and tamale plate. Very good.

We go to the Cottonwood Garduno's all the time and decided to give this location a try. We were amazed at how different the quality was. The sopapillas were raw and smelled like dough and flour. The taco shells were crumbled in pieces before even picking any of them up. We've never had a single issue like this at the other location, ever.

The food was really good with big portions and tasty. The service was nice and quick. Fair priced and the bar even gave us a couple beers a minute before closing so 5 stars 🤩

We had much higher expectations for Gardunos. We used to go to the one on Louisiana and had great service. First off this location needs better signage outside to help show where to go. Second the hostess definitely needs to come to work with a better attitude. Third the menu here is very limited and not the most flavorful. Would much rather go somewhere else for Mexican food

Pretty heartbreaking, this is nothing like the old location, the only thing that is the same is the name. Just so sad. The food, the ambiance, the staff is okay by normal standards, but having experienced the "old" Garduño's it is terrible. If you have never been then it is at least two or three stars, but if you remember Garduño's don't bother.

Five stars might be a bit of an exaggeration but given the entire experience, they deserve it. We went out for Cinco de Mayo. So did everyone else. We usually sit at the bar here, and get some food to go with our drinks. Their shrimp cocktail is old school wonderful. The guacamole is perfection. Because people were lingering longer than anticipated at the bar, the host opened a small table for us after checking with the wait person. It was special service and we appreciate it.

Not sure where to start, other than, never again. Worst customer service experience in years. Want hot water? “Turn it on for 10 minutes and it should work.” Restaurant is 1/3 full on a Thursday, 2 hour wait. No room service until 2pm, unless you’re at the pool. Was told we can’t pick up food at the pool. Went to order food at the pool and key card doesn’t work. These are a few things from our trip. Don’t stay here. Seriously bad.

Great to come back on a visit. Food was delicious. Serving sizes are large. Service was great. Desiree was our server. We ordered the Chicken Burrito, the Enchiladas de Colores, and the Rolled Tacos. We definitely recommend these three dishes. We will be back.

In Albuquerque for the balloon fest we met up with friends and did a short stroll through the old town and we decided Mexican cuisine would fit the ticket and Gardunos was within easy walking distance. We were on the early side for dinner and were seated right away. Two of us had special dietary needs but we were all able to find something on the menu that would satisfy all our needs. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was hot and tasty and reasonably priced! I knocked off a star only because although everything was tasty it was also pretty average and didn't knock mine or anyone else's socks off. Restaurant is located inside the Albuquerque Hotel.

Worst experience at a restaurant that I’ve ever had. Took 20 minutes after being seated to even get a drink order, although there was not much traffic within the restaurant. After our order was taken, it look much longer than normal to receive our drinks. When our food came, 2 of our orders “weren’t written down” despite them being repeated back to us. The staff was also passive aggressive asking “if we felt better after getting some food in our system” after getting our chips and salsa. Also, our drinks were terrible. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. Would recommend avoiding.

Had a great time. Great service. Big portions. Very accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of! We were not rushed at all when it was closing time. Patrick left an amazing impression on my family and they want to go back specifically for him.

Humberto -the waiter- was very nice and pleasant. Food was mediocre. The refried beans tasted like from the can because they do not have chef right now. So they cut on the menu. They should not run the restaurant without chef. Tortilla chips was like bought from a supermarket. Guacamole which is $10 have more lettuce in it Machaca was 😳😒 not really shredded. Place was very clean.
