Charming Irish tavern with an extensive menu, something for everyone. My favorite was the fish and chips. The batter was Light and crispy, tender and flavorful. The staff was friendly, good service and good food. Nice option for lunch, dinner and happy hour!

Super cool pub. We highly recommend the fish and chips. This place has a quaint atmosphere and the food never disappoints. The 🍺 beer is great. Good service. Nice setting. Located in the heart of Albuquerque. We always bring our out of town guests here at least once. This place is a local’s favorite.

My wife and I love Two Fools! However, we have only had their fish and chips because it is so good! A friend of mine from church said he goes there and the first thing he said was that the fish and chips are so good! The fish is large and the breading is very crunchy! The “chips” are just French fries, but good ones. Highly recommend the place and the fish and chips!

Really delicious Irish pub experience. I got the fish and chips and SO fresh! My friend got the shepherds pie and it was equally good. Good service. Just know it’s gonna be super loud, because it’s a very popular and busy pub.

Two Fools Tavern has certainly earned its place among the best restaurants in ABQ! Who would’ve thought an Irish Tavern would be this good in a town like this! The proof is that it was packed on a Tuesday of all nights. I order the house pale ale and traditional fish and chips. Each complemented the other perfectly! The fish was the crispiest I’ve had in quite a long time. Excellent and attentive bar service. Two Fools has a ridiculous Irish whiskey selection and an expansive beer menu as well. There’s something for everyone here!

We were taken here by friends, very busy on a Saturday, worth the wait. Staff very efficient, food absolutely fantastic. Three of us had the small fish and chips. These were the best battered haddock filets I have had since we left Britain, we will be back to eat very soon, possibly a new favorite.

All the food is fresh not from a box. We had the fish & chips it was great & also had the Beef dip sandwich. All was excellent. Homemade coleslaw with apples & even the tarter sauce was homemade. Our server was Mariah & one of the owners (Russell) was there. It always impresses me when a owner doesn't think their above helping out. Have worked for too many who sit in their office counting their money while the employees work their tales off. Workers have more respect & work harder when the owner/ boss can roll up their sleeves & help out. We will definitely be back.

Came in later and had a nice tall table for me. I ordered their chips and salsa. The salsa was a little to hot for my liking but the flavor was excellent! The chips are a little thicker and salted. I ordered their fish and chips. It was very delicious and it is what they are known for. Atmosphere was good. Had younger, older and a nice mix of everyone!

A nice Irish pub in Albuquerque. I went after a friend recommended this place two years ago. Ordered the fish and chips, beer and root beer. Fish was fresh, and tasty. Not greasy. Chips were hot, fresh and crispy. Beer was delicious off the tap. Root beer was amazing. Service was fast and friendly. I love this place a little spendy. Go check them out for the best fish and chips in ABQ.

Fifth Lenten fish fry Friday and this place did not disappoint. Fish was crispy but not dry. Nice texture and crunch which as a nice change. Fries were ok but worth leaving most on the plate. The Guinness was served a touch early but the lovely shamrock on top made up for that. Sat at the bar. Had a nice chat with some of the other patrons which is always nice. The place was super busy but the bar tender was keeping everyone happy. Nice place. Would go back.

Super good! Came in with a friend on her recommendation. Glad we did! We split the liffey chips and a burger and fries. All of it was delicious! Especially the liffey chips! The extra dips were fantastic. Place seemed busy, which is normally a good sign! Prices were reasonable. Waiter was friendly. Definitely worth a try!

My brother-in-law took us to this local watering hole for the "best fish n' chips" in town. My son and I ordered the double plate to split and was not disappointed. It was a lively evening (Saturday) as we all enjoyed our meals - French dip, wings, and a burger with a pint of Guinness. The server was on top of it all meal and we finished with cheesecake.

I can't stop gushing about their food. My kiddo even asks "when we are returning" for more yummy tavern food. Fish and chips are my fav, but cottage pie and nachos are also delicious!

We plan on going here every time we are in town! The very best fish and chips, Irish coffee, and a huge selection of very good whiskey and scotch. Plus a full bar of other items 😂 you can tell what I always order. IMO, one of the best taverns in the USA. Go enjoy!

What a find! The food was so good we almost stayed in Albuquerque another night. We had the seasonal Old Fashioned and Manhattan, both were on point! The salmon appetizer was as good as anything we had in Scotland. The chop salad and Shepard's pie (we saved half for the next day)were delicious. Disappointed they were out of bread pudding but the Guinness brownie was a fine substitute. The bread pudding was the reason we considered staying another night. The atmosphere was perfect!

Best place to grab a fish and chips in town, also an amazing collection of whiskey. The service is absolutely amazing and the customer service is top notch. I definitely will be returning here quite often.

When you go to a pub, you’ll get pub fare. I love fish and chips, and I’ve been looking forward to trying TF’s version as it’s so well known. Their dish is aptly called The Two Fools Fish & Chips. Their description of the dish is: “Our award winning recipe begins with two pieces of our house ale battered, sustainable, North-Atlantic haddock, served with chips, homemade apple coleslaw & tarter sauce.” The portion of the haddock pieces was enormous. Two adults could have easily split the dish. The fish was good, and the fries were delicious. The apple coleslaw was fine; I would have preferred the apple pieces not be in as big of chunks. The tartar sauce wasn’t like a tartar I’ve had before. It was very, very creamy, to the point it didn’t seem like tartar sauce. I didn’t like it very much. My husband had the bangers and mash. We both tried it, and it was completely and utterly tasteless. While the Irish aren’t known for their cuisine, I want my dishes to at least have at least a little flavor. We both agreed we’d not get that dish again. Overall, it’s a pub with pub fare. If you’re getting the fish and chips, you’ll only need a half portion. And hopefully the tartar is actually tartar.

Great Irish food and atmosphere. The fish and chips were wonderful! Nice tasty fillers. Tarter sauce good, different, and flavorful. Service was really on it for customers.

Since going to Ireland I have always been a big fan of Irish Pubs. Two fools has a wonderful atmosphere and the food was good! We ate the bangers and mash, cottage pie, and Irish stew. Of the three the cottage pie was by far the best. Bangers and mash was good but the Irish stew was not good. I thought it was cool they they added in some common items with Irish flair like the Irish Nachos. I’d definitely go again!

I enjoyed my visit here. I was looking forward to some Irish pub food and I've heard this is the place. Being carded at the door was a little weird/scary because I thought the lady was going to tell us no kids (brought my teen son) but I guess that's how they roll here and we were allowed in. Thrilled to find out they had Guinness Zero here! I don't drink alcohol but miss Guinness & it was terrific! We ordered a Pub Burger, Fish & Chips and both were excellent--fries went a little limp but the teen ate em' up just the same. I regret not asking for hot sauce for the cole slaw which was fine, it just needed some pep! Bread pudding was a little dry on the outside but moist and tasty in the middle--definitely sharing size! The atmosphere was a bit loud because of the acoustics but it wasn't particularly busy--just us and maybe three other tables & a handful at the bar. Music was good--90's stuff was on and some Irish style tunes--so glad it wasn't country lol. We were there 3pm the day before St. Patty's to try and avoid the inevitable chaos. Parking is non existent so you must find places a block down the streets surrounding or at meters if available. Staff was busy but friendly. Our waitress (Haley--blonde gal) was friendly and accommodating. I hope to come here again someday as it was a nice diversion from the usual ABQ stuff. Great food, about $30 a person here though. Definitely recommended for some tasty pub style food!

Always a great experience at Two Fools. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect. We had jesters pot pie, cottage pie, fish and chips, and of course, scotch eggs. Everything was perfect!

If you are looking for a ln excellent Irish pub in Albuquerque, this is a must! Atmosphere, service, food are perfect. If I had to give anything less than a 10/10, the Guinness is better with a whiter and thicker head in Ireland, but I'm sure it's not their fault due to regulations, etc. Still excellent though and a great pour. Btw the tip on the head of the pint is my test... if you pinch it and it stands up like icing, that's a great head. Fish and chips were amazing. I'd say they are a bit more on the fancy side from a chip shop in the UK, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Forgot to see if they had mushy peas. Their coleslaw was not for my taste, I prefer more vinegar flavor and not mild with apples, but their tartar sauce made up for it, absolutely amazing. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Visiting Albuquerque and the positive reviews of this place were accurate. We ordered the hot wings (great), beef stew (very good), cottage pie (great), and fish & chips (amazing). Highly recommend this place. Ryan was our server and he handled our demanding dinner rather well.

One of the things I miss about San Diego and the Northeast is a well-poured Guinness. Another is fish & chips. I stopped in at Two Fools Tavern today for both. Despite being in the middle of a state somewhat less green than Ireland, they pull off the fare quite well. The Guinness was well poured and the fish & chips generous. If you order the bread pudding, bring a friend or get a box. If you're lucky, Tori will be your server.

Great Irish pub for fish and chips and a beer or drink. VERY extensive liquor selection. Quaint. Friendly fast service. A favorite of ours when we are passing through ABQ. Parking is tricky... If you don't get lucky and get a parking space on the street in front of the pub, you are likely to have to park on a side street or in a back parking lot and walk. While the place does look wheelchair accessible, it is a tight fit, but I imagine they can squeeze you in near the entrance of the restaurant as there are some very nice tables near the front. We ate at the bar this last time that we were there, and our bartender / server was super efficient and very nice. Family friendly, Highly recommend!

Authentic english pub in Albuqurque. Parking is extremely hard to find. Not handicapped accessible at all. Very busy and lively street near the college. Dark bar lighting. Had the Scottish eggs for and appitizer. They were a bit dry for my taste. The lilly chips aka fried fish bites were overfried and greesy. The cornbeef and cabbage was the best dish of the table. Huge portions and everything cooked just right. Just did not care for the sauce on it. The cottage pie was lacking meat. Needed a magnifier to find any meat. I love cheese but this was too much. The boxy meal was drowned in sauce. A little much and did not care for the flavor of it. Very strong. Decent meal, lively atmosphere.
