You’ll find the most expensive unsweetened tea here. One glass is five dollars… including refills for all you parched foodies. The service is quite the show! You will never know which server is truly your sever. Like as though they encourage teamwork but continuously fall short. So when asking for more water or bread- if you ask the wrong server who happened to show up at some point throughout the duration of your experience - NO BREAD for you! We failed - four times. We could not figure out who we needed to ask. A ring around the servers game - “E for everyone.” The salmon special was a great value and delicious. The De Vaca was around 28 and not worth the price. It came with no side. It’s tasty but also takes forty minutes to come out. Fam, this means you get to watch your fellow foodies munch away while your belly rumbles and the taste of your tears keep you from asking for a bite. My guests were finished with their meal and I was still waiting on my four orders of bread from the four servers whom visited and the steak. The Patatas potatoes was extremely over priced. The sauces did not pair well with the food. I would come here again - to place a to go order for the salmon. Timeline: Seated 5 minutes: server greeted 7: ordered 12: random server with a plate of unknown food we did not order. May I have some more bread? 15: one entree shows from unknown server (I ask for more bread) 20: another entree placed down from another unknown sever ( I ask for more bread) 30: looks delicious. My food is nowhere in sight. Where is my bread? 35: potatoes show up. should I ask for a bite? Their food looks delicious. “Excuse me unknown new server, please may I have some bread?” 43: my food arrives and everyone in my party watches me eat. 52: check arrives

Debajo James, Brooke, James, Brooke who do I love the most? You two and Jacqueline made our visit so much fun! Hard working but still had time to smile and chat. Your personality are excellent. We had lots of different small plates and our two favorites, the shrimp, and scallops but everything was perfect. A lot of great flavors and it was like a circus in my mouth, lol, they also had a good Spanish wine list. I WOULD RECOMMEND

We loved the food at Debajo! After having passed by it many times we decided to try the restaurant and we were not disappointed. We had a handful of plates and each one was delicious. Every time I was surprised that the dish was able to taste as good as it did, and every dish I was as good as the last up to the very end. It’s so nice getting good food that’s actually worth the price in a nice environment. I love that I can go back and get entirely different plates and know that they will be good. That’s how convinced I’ve become of the quality of food. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing birthday here not too long ago, so I decided to order some paella for my cocktail club I was hosting this weekend. I had friends coming over at 4:30 on Saturday but the kitchen didn’t open until then. On Friday I talked with the chef Alfredo and he graciously agreed to have paella ready for me at 4 pm the following day. My friends and I were blown away. Not only did our mouths water at the site of the food but it tasted even better. My husband and kids had planned to go out to dinner to let my friends and I hang out, but once they saw the paella they couldn’t pass it up. My friends talked about having cocktail club at the restaurant next time. It’s that good. Thanks for being so accommodating chef Alfredo!

Hands down the best tapas in New Mexico! Chef Timo brings brilliant worldly flavor and absolutely gorgeous presentation - this is a chef who’s truly a master of his craft. We tried a variety of amazing dishes, from Champignons al Ajillo to Aguacate Frito, and left absolutely stuffed and more than satisfied! We finished with the Flan, and couldn’t resist eating every bite 😁

Such a pleasant surprise! Cute little restaurant, classic tapas with some twists and I love that the servers helped each other out to keep diners happy. Will be back again frequently. Nice wine list by the glass too!

This place is a hidden gem...unpretentious and the staff works with diligence to make you feel welcome. Certainly not fancy but comfortable and cool atmosphere. James our server, was buttoned up and spot on with the details. Food: creative with great attention to flavors that scream care and talent in the kitchen. It's easy to identify a Chef that loves their craft and is great at it. I found a dish on their website that was not on the current menu and the Chef graciously prepared it. Even the bartender checked to make certain drinks were to our liking. I hope this team stays together; they will make a mark.

It’s a good Spanish restaurant but a bit pricy, I think. The potion of ceviche was not to share, paella was for two people, a glass of wine costed $14. All was still good tho.

We came for dinner on New Years eve. They had a set menu that had minimal gluten fee options. They let me order off there regular menu that had gluten free options. My son loved the non-gluten free option. The food was amazing!!! This is the best restaurant in ABQ!

Another enjoyable time at Debajo. The food was tasty and the atmosphere is nice. Our server was attentive and engaged. He also knew the menu and wine selection as we were ordering. If you’re looking for something new and plates to share, I’d recommend you try it.

We went here for an early evening anniversary celebration on Thursday. There is a lovely little patio area that is surprisingly quiet for its proximity to Lomas. We decided to move inside, though, and the wait staff graciously accommodated us. Drinks are very flavorful and well-crafted, not too strong. The food was amazing and well-portioned and delivered to the table. Really like that it didn't all come at once! My only complaint was that the steak had just a bit of gristle. Otherwise, it was perfectly cooked. They also have basque cheesecake with a sort of chocolate moose spread as a special, which was devine. We definitely plan to add this to our favorite places to dine.

One of the best restaurants and restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in the state. Food is complex and intriguing while still being light and infilling. Housemade sangria is beautiful and not too sweet. Service is warm and casual yet professional and service-minded…all about the experience. And the atmosphere is cozy, romantic, captures European sensibility. A gem not to be missed. Will be returning ASAP.

The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. We sat outside last time about a month ago. We love the lights also. Bartender actually remembered our family and made us a wonderful cherry. Wonderful place for a date or for family to get together. Tapas are excellent because you can share the entire meal. If you get a chance I highly recommend you try this place.

I would give this place 100 stars if I could. Tapas is my favorite type of restaurant and this is the best place I’ve had in the U.S. Kennedy helped us out and she was phenomenal and hilarious! The chef even came over to introduce herself. I tried the Poblano Flameado which was phenomenal, the pinchos were so cheesy and drool worthy, we got the Gambas A La Plancha, and again best shrimp I’ve had in a long time. The Higos y Barriga was delicious, strong in taste of fig balsamic. I lastly ordered the Manchen Frito, I personally enjoyed it but it was an interesting combination with the guava which some of my party didn’t love. Either way, I absolutely this place will certainly come back. A little pricey but for a night out or date night it’s worth it

Incredible restaurant. We are here in New Mexico on vacation from Philadephia and Florida. We stumped upon this restaurant online from its amazing reviews. This restaurant is delicious. As someone who lives in a major city and knows great food you HAVE to try this restaurant. Everything about it from the staff to wine was wonderful. Thank you Debajo Tapas Y Vino for making our last night in NM so me memorable.

The service is good but the foods are not worth it. We ordered medium Ribeye, but it’s almost well done, even for replacing one. The paella is ok, the shrimps are fresh, but the clams and mussels are not good though. Friendly reminder, service is nice and fast but may needs more people. Overall, not recommend if you’re looking for good experience!

The restaurant is a lovely setting with friendly staff. The food was presented well but some dishes were too sweet—such as lamb chops with sweet potatoes and goat cheese stuffed peppers. Shrimp was served with roasted garlic but didn’t seem like it was grilled with the garlic. Calamari was very tasty as was roasted cauliflower.

Debajo Tapas Y Vino is a must-visit for any foodie or wine enthusiast in the area. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the wine list is extensive, featuring a great selection of Spanish wines that pair perfectly with the tapas-style dishes. Morgan, our server, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and helped us navigate the many delicious options. We tried several dishes, including the grilled octopus and the roasted mushrooms, and everything was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Morgan also recommended a few different wines that paired perfectly with our selections. The service was exceptional throughout our meal, and we left feeling satisfied and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend Debajo Tapas Y Vino and Morgan as a server!

Great place, great food! One of the best meals we have had in NM and we have been coming here for 8 years…. As restaurant owners ourselves, we could see the care that they took in their food preparation and presentation…. And the wine list is fabulous… thank you Riley and crew for making our evening memorable
