The sushi is always bomb. But this last time we were very disappointed in the quality of the 🥑. Sushi isn't cheap, so when we pay high-end prices for high end food we dont want to have to scrape our avocado. no one wants low quality ingredients.. please don't serve this to your customers

Get the boat, if you have never had one you will not be disappointed. The sushi is on spot and the staff are friendly and helpful. Don’t be shy to ask questions they are all here to teach us. The green tea is perfect but it HOT so sipping is recommended. Try a crunch roll they’re the bomb too. I have been here about ten times and now the review can be done. Come eat smile and enjoy your family too.

Ordered California Rolls thinking they would use real crab legs but instead we got imitation crab. Especially we spent over $55 you would think they would use real recipes. Make me think I also ordered avocado rolls and won’t be surprise is the avacado was fake also. Never again sushi king. You played me for a fool with the fake crab meat. Ain’t no real crab meat in my sushi!

I love trying different sushi spots in town and this one was good! We got the salmon roll (which was simple and I loved). We got the crunchy roll, coconut shrimp, scallops and gyoza. Everything was good but nothing too special. The ambiance wasn’t eye catching. The bill was around $65 including the 20% tip of course. So I would say the prices were a bit high for the quality of the food.

Always use to love coming here, it just seems like the food and service has gone down here. Different staff than normal the waitress had an attitude. Beware if your coming with a party more than 5 you will be charged OVER 20% in gratuity (which was not displayed anywhere or told to us)

Was not impressed at all. I ordered the Philadelphia roll and my friend ordered what j believe was chicken teriyaki soup. We were both not impressed. My rice was not sticky snd the sushi was warm. His soup had the ugliest tasting teriyaki sauce, so sweet. Maybe it was because we arrived around 830, they mightve been getting ready to close the kitchen so we mightve not got the freshest ingredients. Who knows? But they have an awesome vegetable tempura though.

I’ve been coming to this location for over 5 years with the same friendly, knowledgeable staff. Since the last 2 weeks I’ve noticed a slew of new hires who have zero idea about the menu and hardly have any customer service skills not to mention a GM who kept repeating how “uncommon” my regular weekly order is . Needless to say this potential “revamp” is only going to affect the regular clientele

Whenever I come here it is always outstanding. The Staff is quick and courteous. The food is excellent and the presentation is second to none. I recently tried the Gryffindor Roll for the first time and it blew my mind. I HIGHLY recommend! Also the Octopus Nigiri is always excellent!

I definitely recommend you come here to eat if you are not local to the area! The food here was DELICIOUS; so fresh and flavorful! I didn’t get the name of the roll in the second picture but it was AMAZING; the kick of the siracha and the creaminess of the cream cheese was everything I didn’t know I needed!! Service was great and the meal was out in a timely manner, The presentation is what was lacking I ordered the lady in red roll and to be honest I didn't even recognize it same with the other rolls ,they had looked like rolls I would make at home on my 4th try. The servers were great like I said and will be giving it a second chance and to be fair first time in this location

Miso soup /seaweed salad/ California roll were good, but too bad the tonkasu was tasted dry and old…..hopefully next time will taste better / fresh.

We’ve eaten here several times and it is always a great experience. The sushi is always tasty and expertly made. Tonight they went way above and beyond. It’s my daughter’s 12th birthday and she chose Sushi King for dinner. They made her a special crab tempura and went next door to Cold Stone and got her a cupcake. AMAZING!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

My partner and I came and loved this place! We split the ABQ roll, which was phenomenal, and a vegetable yakisoba, which was saucy and plentiful. The atmosphere was calm, and our waters never got low. Very good food.

The sushi is average. The music was rock and roll and too loud.

Diner style seating. Sushi is great...can be pricey but on par with other sushi joints. Veggie tempura was awesome! Soup was very large however the veggies (mushrooms and some type of green olive or bamboo shoot slices) were raw, not steamed before putting in liquid, beef was stringy (tendon) and soup broth could have been better developed for my liking.

First time trying this place Have to say will be first and last Got the noodle soup with beef And it was definitely it good at all . Very overcooked and flavorless I have eaten at many other sushi and noodle restaurants and this one is definitely at the bottom .

This place used to be my favorite to go to. The original ladies who would wait on you were on it no matter how busy it was they were on it. We come in now and get ignored, don’t even get greeted when you walk in like before. Waited almost 10 minutes to get a drink order, another 10 minutes to get a menu. One waitress looked right at us and didn’t even ask if we have been helped but the people who came in after us got helped first. This place is not the same and the customer service is not the same. Talk about bringing dishonor to this place. Definitely won’t be back as often as we used to be. The food still good though and the the cooks were faster than the wait staff. Food is 5 stars but service is one.

My wife and I were craving sushi and had never tried Sushi King, even though we live 5 min from the location. My first impression was that everything was very clean and we were greeted immediately. Staff were very accommodating and explained the menu and recommended the Heart Attack appetizer. Zach (GM) also waited on us and was just a genuinely kind person and ensured that our dining experience was going well. Our appetizer and meal was served super fast and everything we ordered was delicious, perfect temp and wonderfully presented. Staff were all cordial and attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was complete. Thank you Zach and all the staff at Sushi King for making us forever customers. Don't order takeout, took me 40 minutes to be handed my order, 15 of which everything that needed to be done was sitting there only needing to be put in the bag. Overheard the employees trash talking doordash drivers, so make sure you don't order delivery through them as they're obviously not happy preparing non--dine in orders

One of my favorite lunch spots. I love the shrimp tempura roll, the egg rolls, the coconut shrimp, and the miso soup. Looking forward to trying more options on the menu soon.

Our fave place for sushi and great service. We get treated so well from start to finish and the sushi is really good! They make everything really good and the servers are all great! Sushi isn’t thin they make the rolls really good! Great service and atmosphere. ❤️

I used to go here often, the last 2 times I went I was disappointed in the flavors. Today I ordered 3 rolls and none of them stood out or was particularly flavorful. I may as well have ordered one kind. They also seemed to be missing ingredients that were listed on the menu. They were heavy cucumber and the avocado was scant if distinguishable at all. The textures were mushy and unpleasant. I was really looking forward to sushi but it was just expensive, bland, and a let down. It was so notably different from my previous visits, I asked if a change in ownership had happened. I only gave it 2 stars because the guys cooking and making the sushi were nice.

2nd time visiting Sushi King. We dont eat sushi but enjoy the other offerings the dumplings are amazing we enjoyed some chicken fried rice and beef yakisoba if your mot into sushi this place is still worth a visit

The best place on the westside for sushi. The chefs are down to earth and so friendly! The staff were amazing too! if you sit at the bar and tell them what you like, they will create something just for you. So cool to have creative sushi chefs who use fresh ingredients to make an amazing meal right here on the westside of Albuquerque.
