Absolutely delicious barbecue! We had the beef brisket, polish sausage, fried mushrooms, and the cornbread. Everything was delicious and savory. The brisket was soft and tasty. The ranch dressing is homemade and the barbecue sauce has a slight spiciness to it. They currently only offer take out. The employees were all very kind, friendly and professional. The picture isn't too good and doesn't do the food justice!

This is such an amazing place to get local barbeque! The food is clearly made with love and care. I personally love to get all the different kinds of ribs they offer. Even if ribs aren't your thing, everything else is worth a try!

I was looking for a little of taste of southern delight and this isn’t it. The Mac and cheese might as well came from a box and the peach cobbler was made with canned peaches and I’m not sure what kind of crust. True peach cobbler has a flaky crust and is not brown. The wings were baby wings, but a good flavor. Lastly, bbq is not to be saturated in sauce but pulled dry and enhanced with sauce. Will not be back and wish I could cancel my cc charge. 😞

Had dinner here, the service was good. Started off with the cornbread, it was flat more like pancakes but was delicious. The sides were good, though coleslaw was bland. The meats were alright, though dry, the sauce was not very flavorful. We tried the peach cobbler, though it was not enjoyable. If you are looking for great barbecue, I would suggest looking at other restaurants.

Woman working the register was extremely rude. We ordered two 2 meat combos. One was with brisket and ribs. The other chicken and sausage. The one with brisket and ribs came with a healthy portion of brisket and ribs. The other combo plate looked like a child's plate and was brisket instead of chicken, and we paid $38 for both plates. The seating area outside was not well kept and we were surrounded by weeds. The food was ok but not great. I will never visit this place again.

I was looking forward to our takeout family meal of brisket, pork, potato salad, cole slaw and peach cobbler last night. Poor meat quality, little flavor, very salty cobbler. The slaw n potato salad wasn't bad, but for $70 we were very disappointed. We won't go back.

Probably the worst bbq I've had in this town. I remember this place being a lot better many years ago, but has definitely gone downhill. I ordered the beef plate. It didn't taste like brisket at all. Almost reminded me of frozen tv dinner meat. potatoe salad that didn't have a trace of potatoes Fries ordered were cold and soggy Corn bread that were basically yellow, dry, flavorless pancakes. But on the upside, the Turkey leg was good, but $14 is very overpriced! Would not come here again. I WOULDN'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Food was good. The black eyed peas tasted more like crowder peas, but I’m from the south. Could just be that we prepare them differently. The greens were a little bit too juicy and vinegary than I care for, but they were palatable. The fried okra was incredible.

This place is filthy. Lunch for 2 people $50.00 bucks. The brisket was so thin and flavorless. The pork was so thin and fatty. The only good thing in this place was the coke. Potato salad was like a mushy mess. Beware! Don’t waste your money or time on this place.

Without a doubt the best BBQ in the world. I have tried BBQ at other restaurants and in different places across the US and nothing compares to Mr. Powdrell's Barbeque. Trust me, this is the type of BBQ that dreams are made of. Mike, Joe, and all of the family are friendly and awesome! I have been going since I was a kid and it never disappoints.

Ordered half beef half sausage dinner plate with coleslaw and potato salad. The coleslaw was watery and grey looking, very bland, they both were. The bbq sauce tasted like bbq Vienna sausage’s and was runny with no taste. Expected more.

Good location, but their BBQ doesn't have a really hickory smoked flavor, but it's mild, and the location on 4th St, in Albuquerque, NM is in a very good traffic location !

My first time, ribs, pork and beef not what I expected they all tasted the same, hot links for a little better but not enough to go back. We were expecting to eat in they only have take out.

What a gem. The best barbecue I've ever tasted! The pork ribs are cooked to perfection. The catfish filet is exactly like I like it: crispy on outside and melt-in-your-mouth on the inside. Incredible potato salad. I can go on and on... And the woman who took my order made sure I knew exactly what to expect as a first-time customer. Excellent service and food! I can't wait to order again.

Great food, and you're always greeted with a smile. I have been eating here for more than 20 years and have never had a bad meal. 3 stars for the atmosphere cause the dine in option is close. But take it home and enjoy!

Delicious, had the pork sandwich, potato salad and cole slaw and while sitting waiting for the food added an order of fried pickles which were just what I needed after a long week.. delicious.. delicious and delicious. Always love the food at Mr. Powdrells and the employees are always so friendly. Best place for BBQ

Albuquerque legends. Beef ribs never disappoint. Best barbecue in town hands down. For a fun experience eat at the 4th Street location

Avoid at all cost!! Got a one star only because I had to give a star. Didn’t smell barbecue when u walk in the building, 1st mistake. I normally don’t do reviews but I couldn’t let nobody else go through this. Was a waist of money. I don’t see how this place is still in business. They drown it in the barbeque sauce for flavor but it’s still nasty. I bought ribs ( no smoke flavor) brisket is shredded , and sausage is just sausage . I would rather starve then eat there. $27 dollars in the trash.

Good but not great. (I'm from the Texas so the bar is pretty high.) Will keep looking around town for a place to get my BBQ fix

I have heard nothing but great reviews about this place so I went there today with a friend for lunch. I was underwhelmed to say the least. I got tips and ends which I usually love but these were like eating jerky, dry hard and nearly unable to be chewed. When I did get a bite of softer meat, it was delicious but most of what was on my plate wasn't good, I took it home and fed it to my pets. I thought the sauce was a bit under seasoned but adding a bit of salt made it tasty. Kudos to them for considering those who prefer a low sodium meal because adding salt is easy, removing it is nearly impossible. They still do not have inside dining so perhaps that is the issue, not as much turnover. Also the wait was way too long for our takeout orders. My friend ordered a pulled pork sandwich and said that she enjoyed it. On the plus side, the meat was not over smoked, the flavor still came through nicely which I really appreciated. I will try them again at their location on Central after they are open for dine in.
