This was our first time at Luigi's but it won't be the last. As a born and raised Italian (not 21%ish with some grand-grand-mother coming from an unidentified place in Italy) I can tell this is a REAL Italian cuisine. There's still some contamination like the nonsense Alfredo and an abuse of tomato sauce, but I get it, it's a restaurant in US and it needs to please locals' taste. Our pasta was al dente which is some kind of miracle. The eggplant parmigiana was delicious (I personally like it with less tomato sauce but again, I get it). Pizza was great, fried zucchini and bruschetta were perfect. We've tried other "Italian" places, I don't want to name them (Someoe's pasta house and Whatevucci's) that have so many enthusiastic review, and I don't get how people could really think that those are even remotely Italian restaurants. If you want the real thing, try Luigi's.

This place was very quaint, not busy and easy to find. We went for the buffet but they didn't have it yet because if Covid. We did a 1/2 order of 4 different items and shared them but they all tasted the same. It was good but no different flavors from one pasta to the next. The chocolate cake was delish but not big enough for 2 people. We did not see much of our waitress either and it wasn't that busy. It's a great place to take a family because the food is reasonably priced.

Wow I took a friend to Luigi for the first time. We were both impressed with the food and atmosphere! The food came out fresh and hot. I ordered the lobster lasagna which has a nice thick meaty sauce cooked to perfection. Thanks for a good first impression for my neighbor who moved here from Tennessee.

Food was freshly made and it was AMAZING! All the food was brought in a timely manner, the place was super clean and staff was very friendly. We didn't have to wait long to be seated as it was a bit empty. 100% will recommend and will come back when in town.

There was Italian buffet, the food did not look appealing. The spaghetti looked it came from a can. The salad area just had lettuce and tomatoes and some salad dressing. There was not any pizza on the line. I heard back from the owner and to them I truly apologize for my review. Yes, it was a tour group and we are from Texas and our group leader tries hard to make selections on our dining experiences. If I were to return on my own, I would try Luigi's.

My girlfriend cooked a delicious eggplant parm tonight, it was so delicious 😋, I personally have never eaten at Luigis. But I will say that the eggplant parm that my gf cooked us at home (I helped slice garlic btw) was absolutely delicious and tasted VERY good...Needless to say I had a great night and it wonderful experience. Thank you 🤌

The calamari look and tasted like fish sticks. The food was awful. Everything looked like it came from the freezer isle at a grocery store. My hubby and I both got upset stomachs. Would not recommend

We had celebrated my Sister's 50th birthday at Luigi's with family &friends, everything went very well, Luigi&his staff made us feel right at home. Food was delicious &staff was friendly&helpful. This restaurant is to us definitely worthy of a "Best Italian food &Service in town" award. Much Thanks again to Luigi&his staff for making our celebration one to remember.

Not only was the food tasteless and lifeless, but our server Avelina was rude as heck. When I told her we didn't enjoy the food, she didn't ask why and started ignoring us. (I ate some of mine even though it was the worst chicken parmesan I've ever choked down, because if I don't eat I'll pass out from low blood pressure, which she would've known had She asked. But she didn't) She brought us the ticket, and then didn't come for the card for so long that we were about to just leave bc we were done. Then my son's dad, very politely, asked if there was a manager around to speak to. She said she was the manager, then became very combative with us. She insisted that it's not her job to ask people why they didn't like the food (which is exactly her job, but it's okay that she's not the brightest bulb in the box. Not everyone is smart). And then she tried to make up excuses for why she ignored us, to the point where we were yelling at each other in the restaurant and some other guy came out who said he was also the manager? Well in short, there's a reason why we were the only ones in there under the age of 35. Clearly they rely on old business and not good food or service, ESPECIALLY if that hot mess of a woman is really their manager. Edit due to owner reply: this guy is SAD sad. He replies to bad reviews the way a badly behaved teenage boy responds to rejection. That's all you need to know. And I will eat well, as I will never be eating your trash food again, tiny man!

My bf and I have been here twice in one month now. I'm sad to say, yes it was my first times but I loved the eggplant parmesan, the fried zucchini & the pizza! The complimentary bread with oil is 🤌 The service was good and the dining area was clean & comfortable. We will definitely be back, I want to try other dishes for sure.

Excellent as always! We typically get our favorites, Chicken Alfredo & Chicken Marsala, but decided to order something different today and so glad we did! My daughter wanted a small, pepperoni pizza and it came loaded with pepperoni, a perfect, thin crispy crust with just the right amount of char & Luigi's signature sauce. I ordered the Green Chile Chicken Lasagna and was blown away! The lasagna was layered with tender chicken, ricotta, mozzarella, herbs & just the right amount of Hatch Green Chile to give it a special kick. The alfredo/red sauce that was lavishly spread all over along with another layer of mozzarella on top, came bubbling & piping hot from the oven. This dish was so delicious and the creamy sauce is just divine! Luigi and Momma Tina never fail to make authentic, homemade Italian dishes. Our waitress was sweet, pleasant & attentive and the Frank Sinatra music is always a personal favorite. I couldn't resist topping off another wonderful meal by taking home a big slice of Momma Tina's homemade Pistachio Cheesecake, that I'm getting ready to indulge in right now!

This Italian restaurant is absolutely enjoyable. It is very economical in price. The food is absolutely delicious. The buffet is filled with delicious entrees and salads and sides. You can order fresh pasta and then go to the buffet for the sauce. The Ambiance of the restaurant is gorgeous and so relaxing. The music is absolutely perfect for that type of atmosphere. We all enjoy that wonderful music. Their salad dressings are all very delicious and made from scratch. The pizza, is amazing. The crust is scrumptious and easy to chew. It just melts in your mouth. The staff is very friendly and they work hard to please you.

Just arrived to New Mexico and was excited to eat some food here at Luigi's restaurant. They have a wonderful services. The waitress was very sweet and got our orders fine. It's just the food was not even cooked. I never had to send a plate back to the chef, but there's a first for everything. I ordered the chicken parm and what I got was a frozen chiken. I was hesitant at first, because I noticed how hard it was to cut through the chiken with a knife....I decided to eat a piece and give LUIGI'S a chance. I regretted it immediately.... I didn't expect to get sick right away and have my family rush me back to our air b&b so I could vomit. Didn't want to make a scene their, so avoid the chicken parm. I can't speak for others, but my experience here made my first day EVER in New Mexico not so pleasant. "EAT WELL LIVE LONG"? I dont think anyone could live long eating uncooked food..... Ps: They took back the plate and did not charge me, but it was to late for my stomach.

Terrific family restaurant. They accommodated our very large group with ease. Wait staff was efficient, friendly and attentive. Great selection of food was terrific - hot, flavorful and ample. Luigi and his mom joined us for a photo and to accept our thanks. Highly recommend having authentic Italian food here.

Nice relaxed atmosphere with excellent food. I suggest trying their house red wine, it's superb. Service is friendly and attentive. My favorite local place to dine.

The service is very good, and layout of the seating area gives lots of options for booths, floor tables, and seating near the window, etc. We ordered the meatball hero and the chicken parmigiana. Our server was prompt and brought us some warm bread and garlic butter. It was a nice way to start the meal. The entrees arrived and looked great. Flavors were a bit saturated with a high-acid marinara sauce, and turned out to be average for each order.

We had a pizza there. It was good. The peppers were hot and the green chili was hot too. If you like hot food. My husband said that he didn't like the taste of the sauce on the pizza though. They cut the slices really big though. I couldn't even finish the slice because it was so big. Make sure you're really hungry before going there. The staff was really friendly too. Which was nice.

It reminded me of the Italian joints in New Jersey, and that's a good thing! Pasta was pretty good, and I look forward to trying the clam pizza. Places like this are commonplace in the northeast, but really rare for ABQ. I'm guessing the front of house service is fairly new and inexperienced. It wasn't bad service, they just don't deliver the level of service one expects from a sit-down restaurant.

Excellent food, service was beyond awful. Third time we have been there, love the food! My husband ordered an entree after appetizer. Waitress asked soup or salad. We both had soup. Then she served him mussels appetizer not the mussels entree. Why on earth would we be asked for soup or salad if he wasn't ordering an entree. We may be back simply because the food is amazing. Very disappointed in the service. Service is everything. It matters.

First time eating here and it's very interesting. They have a salad and soup bar in the middle or the restaurant, which I asked about and was never told if i there was salad in it. So I'm kinda disappointed on that. The pizza we had was decent, and I've never had green chili on pizza before, but hey it was pretty good. That staff were friendly and were helpful. Overall not a bad little place!

For years my favorite... lately going moving lower on my scale. Service is good. However pasta sauces have lost their unique spice and quality. No longer is the bread warm, no dipping olive oil, no meat in the meat sauce (really).. side of sausage is $5.50 for half a link. Please come back to being luigis!

Food takes a long time to get after ordered. This is on a night where a Bike Night is held. With an extra 25-40 people there, maybe a few more staff is warranted especially since the event is only 6:00pm-9:00pm. Other than that, the food and service are pretty good.
