We live in the Orlando, FL area and I wish our museum was as good. You won't see the "masters" here but the local art was very good and the venue is top shelf. We're seniors and the $4 admission was well spent. Even for 75 yr. olds like us it was very walkable (adjacent) to the historic zone. We greatly enjoyed our visit. BONUS: Although there is plenty of free street parking nearby, the Museum grants you a full day of FREE parking in the paid lot next door and at the "entrance" to "Old Town".

Love this museum. Very easy to navigate, and divided into distinct areas. $6 entry fee for non-residents of New Mexico as of November 2023. They had a Georgia O'Keefe and Henry Moore sculpture exhibit during my visit, so world class art.

This superb museum offers a terrific collection of local history with fascinating exhibits, a very nice collection of art, and notable rotating exhibitions. We caught the remarkable Mackintosh exhibition -- architecture fans should not miss! Sweetening the experience, the museum has very reasonable entry fees and a very nice gift shop.

We spent hours at the Charles Rennie Mackintosh exhibition and it was excellent. We bought the exhibition catalog in the enticing book store, and went back and perused our favorite items again. (We were thunderstruck to find the museum's entry fee is only $6.00! In Arizona or Nevada (and elsewhere) it would be 4 times that.) Great museum in a beautiful old Albuquerque neighborhood boasting lovely 1940s adobe houses.

Definitely a must-see if you're in Albuquerque . Its got lot of really cool exhibits and different kinds of Modern Art, unfortunately the Jim Henson was a traveling exhibit and no longer there. They have a real cool exhibit right now in workshop on how to use indigo dye. The employees are really friendly.

If you’re a Georgia O’Keeffe fan you’ll love this museum. Most of the space is dedicated to her art. We thought it would be more about Albuquerque than it is. There is a nice section dedicated to Albuquerque. Nice statues outside.

Had many more photos to post but you must go see for yourself. $6 entry - free on Sunday’s and full of raw NM influenced art. A must stop for art fans when passing through ABQ. Your entry includes parking so don’t pay before you go in.

Stumbled upon this museum while wandering around the old town. It starts with great mosaic and the sculpture garden. Inside you will find great works of local and not so local artists. Don't miss the historical part either.

Only got thru the 1st floor. We loved it and will return. Most of all, I loved, loved, loved the bronze sculptures that were labeled to be touched. It's always painful to not touch anything and I was overjoyed to be able to feel these pieces.

Really nice museum with different sections. There are a lot of antiques and art. One of the better museums of this type I've visited in the US. The entrance fee for non residents of New Mexico is $6.

The tickets are beyond reasonable, especially considering how large the museum is. There is so much to see from local artists, both historical and modern. The exhibits are clean, well-designed, and organized incredibly well. I only spent about an hour and 15 minutes there, but barely got through 2 exhibits. Those exhibits about Albuquerque are incredible and host a beautifully immersive scene. I highly recommend going at least once, if not twice. The traveling exhibits are wonderful. I went when the Jim Henson exhibit was there, and recently with the Indigo exhibit hosted artifacts from all over the globe.

Fantastic collection of art. Many different galleries, extremely informative, detailed and interesting pieces. You could spend all day here and still miss some exhibits. I’d recommend coming here twice to see everything. Entrance is only 6$

We only had time for a few rooms to visit. The area with beaded work was fabulous. Great examples of local work. The artwork exhibited a wide variety of techniques. Outside sculptures were fantastic. Well worth your time. Have senior discount for entrance fee and a visitor shop.

Enjoyed our visit. I went as a chaperone for summer program students. The museum staff was prepared and organized for the group. We had to leave backpacks in a designated area and then were orientated on rules and behavior in the museum. We explored the Danny Lyon exhibit in small groups and met again as a large group to hear a Native American story about the flute. Definitely will return with family to explore another exhibit.

A lovely museum with an ample variety of exhibits, a cafe, and a well stocked gift shop. I went during the O'Keeffe and Moore exhibit which was extraordinary. While I went for it, I also enjoyed the local art and the deep dive section on various dictatorships and democracy was informative.

O'Keeffe And Moore were on display from Sept. 30 to Dec. 31 was an excellent exhibition of rich, historical, cultural, and vision, allowing many to look back and to look ahead. Crafts for all and L I V E Jazz was a plus.

It was clean and the people were nice. The collections in art museums usually have some I like and some that I don't care for. I was hard-pressed to find anything that I liked. I did find some textiles that were appealing. The gift shop was the best of everything in the museum.

Great time, great place! Very clean and well maintained area and decently priced. The NM Jazz Group was playing an event when I visited and the whole event was well managed. Definitely recommend the NM Music and Stars event happening from 7-10 pm on most Saturdays during the summer.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I planned to visit there. However, when i showed up I was absolutely blown away. I absolutely loved the Daniel Lyon exhibition. As someone who loves photography myself I enjoyed every moment of the exhibit. I also enjoyed the indigenous peoples exhibit with all the Native American pieces. All in all I loved every moment and highly suggest this as a stop for anyone who lives in or traveling through Albuquerque.

This is Albuquerque's Art Museum. They have a very good permanent collection and world-class exhibitions in their other galleries. One of the most recent is the Indigo Across The Globe exhibition. It tells the history of the Indigo trade and the art brought out new aspects of this beautiful color! If you arrive before 1pm on Sunday, admission is free.
